        龍潭遺詞에 나타난 水雲像

        The purpose of this study is to ponder on Su-Un's image in Yong Dam- You-Sa. Because Yong-Dam-You-Sa is the kind of literary work, Ka-sa (歌辭), the persona in it isn't considered Su-Un himself, its author. But no one also deny its persona can be considered Su-Un because of the li- terary speciality of Ka-sa. This study, therefore, divides Su-Un's life into several parts firstly and analyzes some sections of Yong-Dam-You-Sa applied to each of them afterwards and makes clear his image ultimately. His life can be devided by the two phrases roughly. The first is the aspect before the spiritual awakening and the second the one after that. He looked into the customs through going around the country before the spiritual awakening and sought after truth in order to deliver the troublous world. He attained the awakrning in April, 1860 and then began to work for the enlightment of the public. Su-Un inspired the public with such modern thought of equality as Si-Chun-Ju (侍天主; the thought that each one of all mankind has the god in himself) and inspired them with elitism. Consequently, those thoughts raised their hopes so much and became the spiritual essence to overcome the national crisis. According to those aspects, Su-Un is considered a modern master rather than a hero of the puble.

      • 망막아세포종 세포주(Y-79)의 Arylalkylamine N-acetyltransferase 활성에 미치는 Dopamine의 영향

        The arylalkylamine N-acetyltransferase(AA-NAT, EC 2.3.1.87) in vertebral pineal gland and retina is rate-limiting enzyme in the pathway of biosynthesis of melatonin. AA-NAT activities are remarkably increased during night with 10-150 folds. Neurohormone melatonin is thought to play roles in a broad range of physiological functions in human, primarily through effects on the biological clock in the suprachiasmatic nucleus of the hypothalamus, This rhythm reflects large changes in the activities of AA-NAT. So the important regulatory role of AA-NAT has made it central interest in research on melatonin biochemistry and neurochemical signal transduction. The neurotransmitter that regulates the AA-NAT activities is norepinephrine, which acts through a cyclic AMP mechanism. The effect of dopamine on AA-NAT in human retinoblastoma Y-79 cells was studied. the obtained results are as follows; AA-NAT activities in Y-79 cells were increased by cyclic AMP, and dopamine inhibited the AA-NAT activities stimulated by forskolin. The pattern of inhibition of dopamine on the AA-NAT activities in Y-79 cells was time and concentration dependent. The results suggest that dopamine participates in the regulation of the AA-NAT activities through the inhibitory mechanism in the human pineal and retinal tissues.

        In the paper, a study on Korea Population Predictive Model by the Method of Mathematical Extrapolation is based on Logistic Curve and Gompertz Curve. Data used census data from 1955 to 1990. But census is not usually done punctually. So we try to use the raw census data and correct them by approprate transformation. We can guess Population Predictive Medel and Increasing Rate and Transition point and Saturation Population. Logistic Curve and Gompertz Curve estimated model optimum curve by the Method of Mathematical Extrapolation.

      • 수직상향핀이 부착된 등온수평평판에서의 자연대류

        This study has been carried out to investigate the natural convection heat transfer from the isothermal horizontal plate with upward projecting fins numerically. The governing equations for the system are solved by the finite difference analysis and successive over relaxation method at Ra=4000-7000, Pr=0.71, C?=7.75. Mean Nusselt numbers, velocities, temperatures and stream functions are obtained for various dimensionless fin lengths The results are as follows ; 1. The local fin Nusselt number is increased rapidly near the fin tip and that of the fin tip is decreased rapidly by increasing the dimensionlesss fin lengths. 2. The mean plate Nusslt number is decreased by increasing the dimensionless fin lengths and the mean fin Nusselt number shows the maximum value at H/S=2.0 3. The mean total Nusselt number shows the optimum fin length for the maximum heat transfer at H/S=2.0 4. The mean plate, fin and total Nusselt number are increased by increasing the dimensionless fin lengths at H/S=1.0

        Natural convection heat transfer from the corner between a vertical flat plate and adiabatic wall has been studied for various inclination angles of the adiabatic wall and Rayleigh numbers by using Mach-Zehnder interferometer in air. Natural convection heat transfer is increased with increasing the inclination angle of the adiabatic wall. The local Nusselt number is increased to x/L=1/18 and then decreased at θ=30° And 60°, but decreased at θ=90°, 120°, 150° And 180° as the dimensionless plate length increases. The mean Nusselt number at θ=30° Shows minimum and at θ=180° Maximum for constant Rayleigh numbers.

      • Lithium Tantalate 적외선 센서의 광전특성에 관한 연구

        스퍼터링(sputtering)으로 실리콘 기판위에 LiTaO_(3) 박막을 성장시켜서 비정질 적외선 센서를 제작하고, Crystal Technology회사에서 제공한 LiTaO_(3) 단결정으로 적외선 센서를 제작하여 그 특성을 비교하였다. 센서들의 출력신호, 잡음 및 검지도 등을 조사하여 본 결과 비정질 박막센서의 잡음은 두께가 얇을 수록 적었으며 단결정센서의 잡음 보다 적었다. 그러나 검지도는 단결정센서가 더 높았으며 전반적으로는 비정질 박막센서의 광전특성은 단결정 센서 보다 저조하였다. Amorphus LiTaO_(3) infrared sensors are fabricated with the thin film deposited by RF sputtering technique on silicon wafers, and single crystal infrared sensors were fabricated with the commerical LiTaO_(3) single crystal offered by Crystal Technology Ltd. The signal, the noise and the detectivity are measured, respectively. the noise of the thin film sensors decreases as the thickness decreases and it is smaller than that of the crystal sensors. But the detectivity of the single crystal sensors are higher and the overall photoelectric characteristics of the amorphous thin film sensors were inferior to those of the single crystal sensors.

        중공사 나노여과막을 이용한 방향족 농약의 배제 특성

        The rejection properties of 6 aromatic pesticides were evaluated by a continuous flow system equipped with a hollow fiber NF membrane. Different from the separation experiment of batch cell, the rejection and the removal could be calculated exactly because the concentration of feed, permeate and retentate was separately obtained. The lowest and the highest rejection were found in carbaryl(54.8%) and methoxychlor(99.2%), respectively, and the removals were always shown higher than rejections. This may be caused by some reasons such as the solute adsorption on the membrane, the variation of feed concentration. Although molecular weight, molecular width regarded as solute characteristics and log P(n-octanol/water partition coefficient) as hydrophobicity could be applied to explain the rejection property, these factors should be considered together for better analysis. According to the higher relationship between log B(solute permeability) and molecular weight, it was revealed that the solute separation with this membrane was influenced more by molecular weight.

        As technology advances rapidly, emergency medical dispatching systems must also advance. Optimal emergency medical dispatching requires the courage to practice medicine at dispatch. Modern emergency medical dispatch provides appropriate resource responses with the use of an (Advanced Medical priority Dispatch System(AMPDS) in U.S.A. The AMPDS is a systematic protocol for all aspects of the dispatch process. Based on the AMPDS chief complaint list, we initiated a basic design on pre-arrival instruction protocol and completed the scripted pre-arrival instruction protocol, using Cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR) protocol. Implementation of this study creates computerized emergency medical dispatching system for future enhancements, such as the AMPDS.

        For the purpose of investigating the positive rate of rubella antibody and sero-conversion rate after rubella vaccination, 863 high school students of the two regions were studied from April 21st, 1996 to September 20th, 1996. The main results were as follows; 1. Positive rate of IgG in male was higher than in female, and the rate of IgM was also higher in male than in female. 2. Positive rate of IgG by blood type was similar, but positive rate of IgM was higher in AB type than the others. 3. Positive rate of IgG by vaccination was similar to all groups, but positive rate of IgM was higher in which was not vaccinated group. 4. Positive rate of IgG and IgM, having vaccination card, was less than which was not having vaccination card. 5. Those who were vaccinated acquired IgG(+) regardless of an existence of IgG antibody, and 28.3% of IgG(-), IgM(+) male who was not vaccinated became IgM(+), IgG(+) after 3months later. As a result positive rate of male was higher than female. The author conclude that vaccination is necessary to prevent from rubella for them.
