Toxic hepatitis has been reported as a major cause of acute hepatitis, but its potential induction by herbal remedies and/or health foods is usually neglected. We experienced a case of toxic hepatitis associated with Polygoni multiflori, a Chinese herb commonly known as Ho-Shou-Wu. A 54-year-old woman consumed Ho-Shou-Wu for 1 month, after which she experienced fatigue and overall weakness. A diagnosis of toxic hepatitis was made based on her clinical history, the findings for viral markers and other laboratory data, and ultrasonography. Her condition improved considerably after she stopped taking Ho-Shou-Wu. However, she resumed taking Ho-Shou-Wu immediately after discharge from hospital, which aggravated her symptoms and liver function. She was immediately readmitted and stopped taking Ho-Shou-Wu. Her relapse into hepatitis immediate after resuming consumption of the herb is strongly indicative of the validity of Koch`s postulate in this case.
서울의 Penicillinase Producing Neisseria gonorrhoeae 발생빈도(1998)

In recent years, gonorrhea has been pandemic and remains one of the most common STDs in the world, especially in developing countries. For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of Penicillinase Producing Neisseria gonorrhoeae(PPNG), we have been trying to study the patients who have visited the Venereal Disease Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by menas of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. In 1998, 93 strians of N. genorrhoeae were isolated, among which 60(64.5%) were PPNG. The prevalence of PPNG in Seoul, which had been decreased to 39% in 1996 after a peak of 74.3% in 1993, is increased to 64.5% in 1998.
탄소성 변형을 받는 냉간 압연강의 X선 잔류응력 특성에 관한 연구

In textured material, diffraction angle 2θ usually shows a nonlinear relation against sin^2Ψ due to elastic anisotropy of crystals. SPHD and SPCD steel is cold-rolled carbon steel for automobile. The characteristics X-ray for stress measurement is Cr K_α and Mo K_α1characteristic X-ray. The sin^2Ψ-2θ diagram under elastic strain seems to have a linear behavior using regression line of data but has a nonlinear behavior in distribution of data by Cr K_αcharacteristic X-ray. As the plastic strain of specimen increases, the nonlinearity of 2θ with respect to sin^2Ψ increases remarkably. On the other hand, the diffraction angle 2 θ by Mo K_α1 characteristic X-ray shows a good linearity on sin^2Ψ-2θ diagram under plastic strain as well as elastic strain. Therefore, This paper presents the measurement of residual stress in cold-rolled carbon steel for automobile using penetration depth of Mo K_α1 charateristic X-ray and multiplicity factor of crystal diffraction plane.
산소 혼합비에 따른 Ba_(0.7)Sr_(0.3)TiO₃박막의 유전체 특성

Ba과 Sr의 화학당량비를 조절하여 Ba_(0.7)Sr_(0.3)TiO₃분말 시료를 제조하여 각각 1,200℃와 1,300℃에서 calcining과 sintering을 실시한 후 3 inch 성형틀로 Ba_(0.7)Sr_(0.3)TiO₃인 sputtering target를 제작하였다. MIM구조의 capacitor를 위하여 하부전극을 Pt(1500Å)/TiN(2000Å)/SiO₂/Si로 하고, 제작한 target를 이용하여 RF sputtering방법으로 BST박막을 증착하였다. 제작한 박막의 결정구조를 X-선 회절계(XRD)로 분석한 후 Al을 상부전극으로 증착하여 축전기구조로 C-V와 I-V의 전기적 특성을 얻었다. 제작된 박막의 결정구조를 XRD 측정으로 확인한 결과 550℃ 이상의 기판온도에서 결정성장이 양호함을 보였다. 유전상수와 유전손실이 기판온도와 sputtering 가스의 산소 혼합비에 영향을 받는 것으로 확인되고 I-V를 통한 전기적 특성에서 전도기구가 Schottky 장벽에 의한 것과 높은 인가전압에서 space charge limited (SCL) 전도 특성을 보였고, 누설전류의 값은 표면구조의 영향으로 산소가스의 증가에 따라 감소하였다. Ba_(0.7)Sr_(0.3)TiO₃powders were prepared by changing stoichiometry of Pb and Ba. After they were calcined and sintered at 1200℃ and 1300℃ respectively, BST sputtering targets were made in 3 inch mould. For MIM structure capacitors, Pt(1500Å)/TiN(2000Å)/SiO₂/Si were used for bottom electrodes and the BST thin films were sputtered on bottom electrodes. After we analysed their structures by XRD, Al was evaporated on the BST films for MIM capacitor and we investiaged the electrical properties by measuring of C-V and I-V. We found that the structures of the films showed good crystalllinity above 550℃ from the results of XRD measurements. We supposed that the dielectric constant and dielectric loss of films were affected with substrate temperature and oxygen ratio of sputtering gas. In I-V behavior, we supposed that the conduction mechanism was Schottky conduction and space charge limited(SCL) conduction in high voltage range.

The work presents an analysis of the contact problem between the two frictional elastic bodies. Under the assumption of the unbonded and no penentrating, the contact problem was described as the total potential energy equation. The solution was obtained by the numerical approximation technique finite element method, and iterative method. Several examples were solved to test the presented method. First example is the contact problem between a elastic punch and plate. Second is the contact problem between a elastic connecting rod and shaft. The results were compared with other numerical and analytic solution, and the results were concided with them.
지반과 앵커체의 탄성계수비 (E_(a)/E_(r))에 따른 앵커체 표면에서의 응력전이에 관한 수치해석

Anchor is used for a restraining of a ground deformation in the retaining wall, slope-stability et ect. When pullout load is applied to the anchor in the ground, the behavior of the anchor in the ground is differed by the rigidity of anchor body and ground. In this study, the stress-behavior is analyzed by the numerical a analysis on the surface of an anchor body according to the pullout of an anchor. Mostly, The analysis is focused on the change of a shear stress according to the coefficient ratio of elasticity. The coefficient ratio of elasticity(E_(a)/E_(r)) is defined by the ratio between elastic modulus of ground(E_(r)) and that of anchor body (E_(a)). By using this ratio, the progressive failure of anchor body can be analysed. 앵커는 흙막이 벽, 사면안정 등에서 사용되는 지반변형 억제공법이다. 앵커가 지중에서 인발하중을 받으면 앵커체의 강성과 지반의 강성에 따라 각각 다른거동을 하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 인장형 및 압축형 앵커의 인발에 따른 표면에서의 응력거동을, 주로 탄성계수비에 따른 전단응력의 변화에 중점을 두고 수치해석 기법을 이용하여 분석하였다. 여기서, 탄성계수비(coefficient ratio of elasticity)란 지반탄성계수(E_(r))와 앵커체탄성계수(E_(a))의 비 (E_(a)/E_(r))를 말하는데, 이 탄성계수비에 의해 앵커의 진행성 파괴에 대한 영향을 평가할 수 있다.
