Presacral teratomas are rare tumors derived from embryonic germ layers. They present mostly in infancy and are extremely rare in adults. Patient with presacral teratoma in adults may be asymptomatic on initial presentation. The symptoms are due to their size, to the compression of pelvic viscera or to their complications. CT or MRI are the important investigations for characterization of the mass, evaluation of its intrapelvic extension and relationship to other structures. The treatment of presacral teratomas is mainly complete surgical resection. We report a case of presacral teratoma in 47-year-old woman with a brief review of the literatures.

<P>We demonstrated a water-resistant PEDOT:PSS HTL by incorporating a photo-crosslinking agent into a PEDOT:PSS film. A crosslinking system was successfully formed inside the PEDOT:PSS film by simple and fast photo-polymerization of PCDSA monomers. Combination of the crosslinking system and MeOH surface treatment simultaneously improved the device efficiency and stability of both perovskite and polymer solar cells. The crosslinking system inside PEDOT:PSS changed its intrinsic water-soluble characteristic into a water-resistant property, thus preventing water penetration into the PEDOT:PSS film. In addition, MeOH treatment improved the surface conductivity and reduced the surface roughness of the PEDOT:PSS film by removing surface residues of PDAs and insulating PSS parts.</P>

Accurate measurement of BMD(Bone mineral density) is very important for evaluation of osteoporosis. Recently DEXA(Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry) has been known to be an accurate, objective, easily reproducible method for measuring BMD. To investigate the level of BMD, we measured BMD in 33 patients with hip fractures. They were 14 femoral neck and 10 intertrochanteric fractures. 12 patients were male and 21 patients were female. The average BMD was 0.627 in the neck, 0.470 in Ward's triangle and 0.597 in the trochanter. In comparison with the normal control group investigated by Ahn et al, the BMD in fracture group was about 76% of normal control group. The Singh Index had close correlation with the degree of BMD. BMD decreased with the increase of age by about 10% decennially after 50 years. The BMD showed close correlation with the height and weight of the patients. The BMD was higher in neck fracture group compared with intertrochanteric fracture group even though it was not statistically significant.
적조원인종인 Prorocentrum minimum의 광도에 따른 생화학적 조성의 변화

적조원인종인 Prorocentrum minimum의 생화학적 조성의 변화에 대한 광도의 영향을 조사하였다. 성장조건은 14:10h(L:D)로 설정하였으며, 15, 50, 120μ㏖·m^-2·s^-1의 광도범위에서 실험을 수행하였고, 지수함수기에 세포를 모아 생화학적 구성성분을 분석하였다. 50μ㏖·m^-2·s^-1 이상에서는 성장유형이 거의 유사하였고, 세포내 단백질, 탄수화물 및 지질의 양은 각각 120, 50, 15μ㏖·m^-2·s^-1에서 가장 많이 존재하는 것으로 나타났다. 단백질/탄수화물의 비율과 MGDG/DGDG의 비율은 50μ㏖·m^-2·s^-1에서 가장 높았으며 photosystem Ⅱ의 활성도는 120μ㏖·m^-2·s^-1 이상의 광도에서 성장한 세포에서 가장 낮았다. 따라서 50μ㏖·m^-2·s^-1의 광도에서 성장한 세포가 세포활성도 및 광합성능이 가장 높은 것으로 관찰되었다. Effects of light intensity on the biochemical composition of Prorocentrum minimum, a dinoflagellate causing red tide, were examined. Cultures were grown under a 14:10h light: dark(L:D) regime at three light intensity ranging from 15 to 120μ㏖·m^-2·s^-1 and harvested at late-logarithmic phase for analysis of biochemical composition. Growth pattern was similar to over the 50μ㏖·m^-2·s^-1. The highest levels of carbohydrate, protein and lipid were present in the cells from cultures grown at 120, 50 and 15μ㏖·m^-2·s^-1, respectively. The protein/carbohydrate ratio and MGDG/DGDG ratio was highest in cells from culture grown at 50μ㏖·m^-2·s^-1. The activity of photosystem Ⅱ of the culture grown 120μ㏖·m^-2·s^-1 was lower than others. Therefore the cells grown 50μ㏖·m^-2·s^-1 represented highest cellular activity and photosynthetic activity.
