합병증이 동반된 Meckel씨 게실을 가진 환자의 치료에 대한 필요성은 과정이 문제이다. 하지만 우연히 만나는 게실의 처치는 논란 중이다. 부수적인 게실 절제술(incidental diverticulectomy)의 제안자는 증상이 있는 게실의 외과적 처치는 중요한 이환 및 사망률은 지적한다. 이를 반대하는 사람들은 전 생애를 통해 합병증의 위험성이 낮게 나타나므로 필요가 없다고한다. 게실의 예방적 제거는 개복술시 우연히 발견 될 때 시행한다. 이는 남아있는 게실이 나중에 합병증을 일으키는 것보다 술후 합병증의 위험성이 매우 적음을 알 수 있다. 저자들은 합병증이 동반된 Meckel씨 게실 2예를 경험하였기에 문헌 고찰과 더불어 보고하는 바이다. The necessity for therapy with complicated Meckel's diverticular is a matter of course.However, management of the incidentally encountered diverticulum is controversial. Proponents of incidental diverticulectomy point to the significant morbidity and mortality rates of surgical treatment of symptomatic divenicular. Other authors base their opposition to incidental diveniculectomy on the low risk of complications developing during lifetime. Prophyillctic removal of the diveniculum is indicated when it is found incidentally at laparotomy, because there are few postoperative complications and the risk exists that the remaining diverticulum may be the cause of later complication. The 2 cases of complicated Meckel's diverticulum are reported with a brief review of literature.

Background and Objectives: This study was performed to evaluate the usefulness of early operation in children with traumatic subdural hygroma. Materials and Methods: The subjects were eleven patients (Glasgow coma scale (GCS) score was below 10 and age was below 10 years old) who developed subdural hygroma after trauma between January 2000 to December 2002. Subduroperitoneal shunt was performed in one group and not performed in the other group. We analyzed the GCS score on admission and at 1 year after operation. Overall clinical results were evaluated retrospectively. Results: Patients who underwent operation exhibited higher GCS scores at 1 year after trauma compared to those in the patients who were treated by conservative therapy (p<0. 05). Conclusion: The early operation could be an effective treatment to children with subdural hygroma who showed delayed improvement of consciousness and to patients with hygroma that didn't decrease or was above moderate amount.
대장암에서 Adenomatous Polyposis Coli(APC) 유전자의 변이에 대한 연구

The colorectal carcinoma was once considered a dominant malignancy in the westerized country. But as Korean life and food consumption styles follow those of western country,colorectal carcinoma in Korea has been increased. Among the several mechanisms of colorectal carcinogenesis, the molecular genetic alterations are best understood of any other common human cancers. Colorectal carcinomas demonstrate extensive molecular genetic alterations throughout the genome. Among several dominant acting oncogenes, a kind of tumor suppressor gene, APC(adenomatous polyposis coli) gene mutation has been commonly observed in colorectal carcinoma, and the deletion of APC gene appears to be an early event in the tumorigenesis. This study is conducted to see the APC gene mutation in 10 cases of adenomas, 20 cases of adenocarcinomas and 3 cases of familial polyposis by observing LOH(loss of heterozygosity) in APC gene exon 11. The DNA was extracted from paraffin block tissue sections and APC gene exon 11 was amplified by polymerase chain reaction(PCR). The PCR product was digested by Rsa I endonuclease and LOH was observed by gel electrophoresis. In the study, only informative cases are included. The resuslts were as follows; 1. Among 10 cases of adenoma, 7 cases (70%) revealed LOH, while among 20 cases of carcinomas, 10 cases(50%) showed LOH. All the 3 cases of familial polyposis revealed LOH. 2. There is no relatoinship between clinical stages and LOH of APC gene. Above results showed that APC exon 11 gene mutation contribute to early stage of colorectal carcinogenesis and it has no effect on tumor progression. But to elucidate precise mechanism of carcinogenesis, more studies in the molecular level should be conducted.
방선균 분리주가 생산하는 Phospholipase C 저해물질인 MT2617-2B의 분리 및 특성

방선균 분리주 MT2617-2의 배양액으로 부터 phospholipase C (PLC) 저해물질인 MT2617-2B를 n-butanol 추출 및 column chromatography 법을 이용하여 분리하였다. MT2617-2B는 IR ^13C- 및 ^1H-NMR 그리고 ESI-MS에 의한 구조분석 결과, 한 개의 hemiketal ring, polyhydroxyl 및polymethyl groups으로 구성되었으며 side chain으로 한 개씩의 malonate 및 guanidine group을 가지는 분자량 1057의 macrolide 화합물이었다. 따라서, MT2617-2B를 기존의 macrolide 항생제인 copiamycin 및 niphithricin A로 동정하였다. 한편, MT2617-2B는 methanol 용액에서 실온에서 방치하였을 때 도일한 분자량을 가진 두 개의 이성질체를 생성하였다. PLC γ1과 -β1에 대해 각각 25 및 50㎍/㎖의 IC_50 값을 가지며, Staphylococcus aureus 와 Candida albicans에 대해서는 항균활성을 나타내지만 Escherichia coli에는 나타내지 않았다. A phospholipase C (PLC) inhibitor (MT2617-2B) was isolated from the culture broth of actionmycetes isolate MT2617-2 by the extraction with n-butanol and column chromatographic techniques. The molecular weight of the inhibitor was 1057, by the spectroscopic analyses of IR ^13C- and ^1H-NMR and ESI-MS. The chemical structure of MT2617-2B was found to be a macrolide compound consisted of a hemiketal ring, polyhydroxyl and polymethyl groups, which had a malonate and guanidine group as its side chain. MT2617-2B produced its two isomers having the same molecular weight by standing in methanol solution at room temperature. Therefore, MT2617-2B was identified as copiamycin and niphithricin A, macrolide antibiotics. The values of IC_50 against PLC γ1 and PLC-β1 were 25 and 50㎍/㎖, respectively. MT2617-2B had antimicrobial activities against Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans, but not against Escherichia coli.

The purpose of this study was to examine the accessibility and spatial configuration of a cultural and art center in an urban setting using space syntax, this research analyzed the Seoul Arts Center and Its surrounding area, elaborated the built environment and its layouts, and delineated the significance and Implications of the built form In the situated context The research found that the Seoul Arts Center, as a cultural venue, didn't run the full gamut and was not accessible It was noted that the location of the studied building reduced the accessibility, and the core area of the City would be an appropriate alternative location Also, the results indicated that the spatial cognition of the Seoul Arts Center was high and conspicuous, while the interaction with surroundings was weak This qualitative research suggested that the cultural and art center be located in an area that is more accessible and emphasizes the functional integration
A New Abietane Diterpenoid from Isodon inflexus

A new ent-abietane diterpenoid, $3{\alpha}$, $6{\beta}$-dihydroxy-7,17-dioxo-ent-abieta-15(16)-ene (1), and three known ent-kaurane diterpenids, kamebacetal A (2), kamebakaurin (3), and excisanin A (4), and a known triter-penoid, ursolic acid (5), were isolated from the aerial parts of Isodon inflexus. Their chemical structures were determined by extensive analysis of spectroscopic data including 1D- and 2D-NMR experiments. All isolates (1-5) were evaluated for their potential to inhibit LPS-induced nitric oxide production in RAW264.7 cells. Of these, compounds 1-4 inhibited the production of NO with $IC_{50}$ values ranging from 1.0 to $26.5{\mu}M$.

Nowadays, the high performance composite materials are famous for the new construction materials of the construction buildings are bigger and higher. Out of them of all, the fiber reinforced concrete and mortar have been studied to develop and strengthen the performances of concrete, such as tensile strength, durability and the resistibility of crack. Also, it is considered that precast concrete is important alternatives of dry process for saving time, upgrading the material's quality and the productivity. Thus, PC panel is being produced for the use of dry wall as wells as exterior finishing materials and it requires lots of tests and studies to be conducted to meet the various functional conditions. Accordingly, this study was performed to study for basic properties of mortar by adding ratios of PVA fiber and this one will offer the basic data for developing the upcoming exterior PC panels.
