The purpose of this study was to analyze effects on academic achievements in compare with cooperative and competitive learning models of the creative dance instruction The Experiment was performed in instruction of 12. sessions, In this experiment was participated 74 middle school students, It was divided into cooperative group(n=39) and competitive group(n=35), Each group was recognized small group of 5-6 students and was given an individual role to each others. The measuring tools used in pre-test and post-test was an academic achievement testing sheet, That was conducted by creative ability evaluation standards. The results of this study was as followings Cooperative learning model in creative dance instruction was more effective for learner's academic achievements than competitive learning model, That is, it was more effective for originality, composition and continuity among sub-factors of academic achievements, In conclusion concrete methods to activate creative dance instruction which is in the important position in educational dance of the 7th curriculum can be found in cooperative learning model.

The lyophilization of the solution extracted from 60 percent of acetone applied to persimmon leaves, the compounding process in accordance with the solution's concentration, and the gel filteration through Sephadex G-50 of biologically activated substances obstructing enzyme activity, such as tyrosinase, xanthine oxidase, and angiotesin converting enzyme (ACE) led to the assumption that polyphenol was the compound serving as biologically activated substances obstructing enzyme activity. Xanthine oxidase involved in pruine metabolism oxidizes hypoxanthine to xanthine and xanthine to uric acid. In the continuous study for natural compound, nine flavan-3-ois have been isolated from the persimmon leaves. The structures of (+)-catechin, (+)-gallocatechin, procyanidin B-1, pyrocyanidin C-1, prodelphinidin B-3, gallocatechin-(4α→8)-catechin, procyanidin B-7-3-O-gallate, procyanidin C-1-3'-3''-3'''-O-trigallate and (-)-epigallocatechin-(4β→8)-epigallocatechin-(4β→8)-catechin were established by NMR and their inhibitory effect on xanthine oxidase activity was investigated. Procyanidin C-1-3'-3''-3'''-O-trigallate showed 94%, 90.69%, 80.90% inhibition at 100(μ)M and inhibited on the angiotension converting enzyme respectively. Procyanidin B-7-3-O-gallate and procyanidin 1-3'-3''-3'''-O-trigallate showed 66%, 63% inhibition at 100(μ)M and inhibited on the xanthine oxidase competitively. Procyanidin C-1-3'-3''-3'''-O-trigallate showed 70% inhibition at 100(μ)M inhibited on the thyrosinase competitively.

Mathematical model based on the kinetic aspect of the intermittent aeration system with continuous inflow (IASWCI) was developed. This model is a dynamic model dealing with the overall relationship between biomass concentration and contaminants in a reactor and a dynamic model dealing with the behaviors of biomass and substrate in a reactor within one cycle time of the process. That is, the proposed model predicts the time dependent microbial cell, substrate and nitrogen concentrations. The verification showed that the experimental result from a lab-scale facility could be successfully simulated and predicted by the model. The estimation of kinetic parameters were calculated from interpretation of the experimental data by means of respirometric method of activated sludge behavior in the batch reactors. This model is useful for further understanding of biological wastewater treatment kinetics by intermittent aeration system and may serve as a valuable design aid for practicing engineering.

Intermittent aeration system with continuous inflow (IASWCI) model was established based on the mass balances in the aerobic and anoxic phases. This model contains 14 parameters and is composed of 7 state variables in each phase. The important parameters can be identified by parameter sensitivity analysis. Sensitivity analysis was accomplished by varying the numerical value of the parameters in the IASWCI model and determining the resulting impact in the predicted response. It has shown that μ_(max,H) (maximum specific growth rate of heterotrophs) of IASWCI was the most sensitive one in the COD removal process while i_(xB) (ratio of nitrogen to organic in microorganism) was the most sensitive one in nitrification process and Y_(H) (yield coefficient of heterotrophs) was the most sensitive one in denitrification process. Based on the senitivity analysis and calibration process of IASWCI model, mathematical model simulation was accomplished by using the model with another input data set. As the results of the model simulation, it is possible to predict behaviors of organic and nitrogen in case that the model is applied to a full-scale wastewater treatment plant.

Objectives : In this study, the authors evaluated the correlation between eurocognitive impairments and serum lipids levels among Korean elderly over the age of 65. Methods : A total of 609 elderly individuals participated in this study. Screening for cognitive impairments were carried out using the Mini-Mental Status Examination-Korean version (MMSE-KC). There were 197 subjects above 1.5SD Of MMSE- KC and they were evaluated using the Korean versions of the Consortium to Establish a Registry for Alzheimer's Disease (AD) (CERAD-KC) and Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS-K). Results : There was a correlation between old age/low levels of education and AD (p<0.05, P<0.01). There was an inverse correlation between the serum level of total cholesterol and the word list recognition test scores. The serum levels of LDL cholesterol were inversely correlated with the scores on the constructional praxis test, word list recall test and word list recognition test. Inverse correlations between the serum level of triglyceride and scores on the word list recall test and word list recognition test were also observed. Conclusion : There were inverse correlations between the serum levels of lipids and language/memory function in subjects with AD.

(2011) <I>European Journal of Cancer Care</I><B>20</B>, 803–809</P><P><B>Satisfaction with mammography in the National Cancer Screening Programme participants of age 40s in Korea</B></P><P>The aim of this study was to evaluate satisfaction with the National Cancer Screening Programme of mammography in Korea and to examine the association between subscales of satisfaction and general satisfaction. We conducted a cross‐sectional telephone survey for women who had obtained a National Cancer Screening Programme mammographic screening at general hospitals between May and October 2008. The present study included 2005 women in their forties. We performed multivariate linear regression using dependent variable as general satisfaction and independent variables as subscales of satisfaction, such as pre‐screening information transfer, staff interpersonal skills, physical surroundings and results reporting. Participants were stratified according to the result of their mammogram as negative or positive. Mean score of satisfaction was above 2.5 of 4 for all subscales. Women who received positive results were less satisfied with all of subscale factors. Staff interpersonal skills were the most important factor that contributed to general satisfaction. Future efforts such as staff training programme of communication/attitude skills, ensuring privacy and explanation of possible discomfort of the screening would be needed.</P>
Case Report : Complete Atrioventricular Block-Induced Torsade de Pointes Manifested by Epilepsy

Complete atrioventricular (AV) block is frequently regarded as a cause of informed syncopal attacks, even though the escape rhythm is maintained. Torsade de pointes (TdP) may be a significant complication of AV block associated with QT prolongation. Here, we report the case of a 42-year-old female who was referred to our hospital due to recurrent seizure-like attacks while taking anti-convulsant drugs at a psychiatric hospital. TdP with a long QT interval (corrected QT = 0.591 seconds) was observed on an electrocardiogram (ECG) taken in the emergency department. The patient`s drug history revealed olanzapine as the suspicious agent. Even after the medication was stopped, however, the QT interval remained within an abnormal range and multiple episodes of TdP and related seizure-like symptoms were found via ECG monitoring. A permanent pacemaker was thus implanted, and the ventricular rate was set at over 80 beats/min. There was no recurrence of tachyarrhythmia or other symptoms. (Korean J Intern Med 2011;26:99-102)

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Electronic textiles (e-textiles) need to have high heat durability for various applications. However, current e-textiles are usually damaged by high-temperature processes. We report silk-based e-textiles fabricated by simple pyrolysis with axial stretching that demonstrate high electrical conductivity and thermal durability. The electrical conductivity of the proposed e-textiles was on the order of 10<SUP>3</SUP>S/cm and the electrical characteristics were maintained even after heating and bending. Furthermore, we prepared e-textiles with various electronic properties, such as semiconducting, superconducting, and light-emitting properties, by depositing ZnO, MoSe<SUB>2</SUB>, and NbN onto the commercial silk-based e-textiles using sputtering and evaporation. We introduced a simple method for fabricating silk-based e-textiles with various electronic properties, which are compatible with the current textile industry.</P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>
