The China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS) complex consists of an H- linear accelerator, a rapid cycling synchrotron accelerating the beam to 1.6 GeV, a solid tungsten target station and instruments for spallation neutron applications. The facility operates at a 25-Hz repetition rate with an initial design beam power of 120 kW and is upgradeable to 500 kW. The primary challenge is to build a robust and reliable user-friendly facility with upgrade potential at a fraction of the \world standard" cost. Success of the project relies on the results of prototyping research & development (R&D) of key technical systems and components. This paper discusses the prototyping experiences of the past two and a half years. A Fuzzy Cerebellar Model Articulation Controller Based Visual Servo System for Robot
Wei Sun,Cong Wang,Shengnan Liu,Baoqiang Wu,Minghua Ouyang 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2012 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.10 No.2
This paper presents a novel online learning visual servo controller integrating the FCMAC with proportion controller for the control of position of manipulator end-effector. Since the FCMAC has good learning capability and fast learning speed, and can save much computer memory space by fuzzy processing of input space division and memory unit activation, it is used to develop an adaptive control law by learning the relationship between the image feature errors and manipulator input, and the aim of online learning of the FCMAC is to minimize the output of proportion controller. Further-more, the FCMAC has no need for models of robot manipulator and image feature extraction, so that the capability of proposed controller for tasks under uncertain environment can be improved. Finally, the proposed controller is proved to be effective by the experiment, and compared with BP neural net-work.

Objective: To elucidate clinical characteristics and build a prognostic nomogram for patients with vulvar cancer. Methods: The study population was drawn from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database. Patients were randomly assigned to training and validation sets. Cox proportional hazards model and competing risk model were used to identify the prognostic parameters of overall survival (OS) and cancer-specific survival (CSS) to construct a nomogram. The nomogram was assessed by concordance index (C-index), area under the curve (AUC), calibration plot, and decision curve analysis (DCA). Results: A total of 20,716 patients were included in epidemiological analysis, of whom 7,025 patients were selected in survival analysis, including 4,215 and 2,810 in training and validation sets, respectively. The multivariate Cox model showed that the predictors for OS were age, marital status, histopathology, differentiation and tumor node metastasis (TNM) stages, whether to undergo surgery and chemotherapy. However, the predictors for CSS were age, race, differentiation and TNM stages, whether to undergo surgery and radiation. The C-index for OS and CSS in the training set were 0.76 and 0.80. The AUC in the training set for 1-, 3- and 5-year OS and CSS were 0.84, 0.81, 0.80 and 0.88, 0.85, 0.83, respectively, which was similar in the validation set. The calibration curves showed good agreement between prediction and actual observations. DCA revealed that the nomogram had a better discrimination than TNM stages. Conclusions: The nomogram showed accurate prognostic prediction in OS and CSS for vulvar cancer, which could provide guidance to clinical practice.

<P>The evolutionarily conserved CONSTITUTIVE PHOTOMORPHOGENESIS 1 (COP1) is a RING and WD40 protein that functions as a substrate receptor of CULLIN4–DAMAGED DNA BINDING PROTEIN 1 (CUL4–DDB1)–based E3 ubiquitin ligases in both plants and animals. In <I>Arabidopsis</I>, COP1 is a central repressor of photomorphogenesis in the form of COP1–SUPPRESSOR OF PHYA (SPA) complex(es). CUL4–DDB1–COP1–SPA suppresses the photomorphogenic program by targeting the transcription factor ELONGATED HYPOCOTYL 5 for degradation. Intriguingly, under photomorphogenic UV-B light, COP1 reverses its repressive role and promotes photomorphogenesis. However, the mechanism by which COP1 is functionally switched is still obscure. Here, we demonstrate that UV-B triggers the physical and functional disassociation of the COP1–SPA core complex(es) from CUL4–DDB1 and the formation of a unique complex(es) containing the UV-B receptor UV RESISTANCE LOCUS 8 (UVR8). The establishment of this UV-B–dependent COP1 complex(es) is associated with its positive modulation of ELONGATED HYPOCOTYL 5 stability and activity, which sheds light on the mechanism of COP1’s promotive action in UV-B–induced photomorphogenesis.</P>
Plasma treatment of multi-walled carbon nanotubes for lipase immobilization
Xun Cao,Rui Zhang,Wei-min Tan,Ce Wei,Jing Wang,Ze-meng Liu,Ke-quan Chen,Ping-Kai Ouyang 한국화학공학회 2016 Korean Journal of Chemical Engineering Vol.33 No.5
Plasma-modified multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) were used as a support to immobilize lipase. The effects of vacuum plasma treatment power, vacuum plasma treatment time, immobilization temperature, immobilization time, and initial protein concentration of the lipase on the amount of lipase immobilized and on the subsequent activity of the immobilized lipase were investigated. The results showed that the adsorption capacity of the plasma-modified MWNTs could reach 0.15 g/g and that the maximal enzyme activity of the immobilized lipase was 520U/g under optimized conditions. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) analysis and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) were used to characterize the properties of the plasma-modified MWNTs and plasma-modified MWNTslipase, and the results showed that the lipase was successfully immobilized on the plasma-modified MWNTs. Also, the MWNTs-lipase produced an esterification rate of approximately 47% in the synthesis of polyethylene glycol (PEG)-aliphatic esters.
Kinetin inhibits apoptosis of aging spleen cells induced by D-galactose in rats
Mengyun Li,Wu-Qing OuYang,Xiaoli Wu,Yin Zheng,Yunpeng Wei,Lei An 대한수의학회 2014 JOURNAL OF VETERINARY SCIENCE Vol.15 No.3
Kinetin (Kn) is a cytokinin growth factor that exertsseveral anti-aging and antioxidant effects on cells andorgans. To investigate the mechanism underlying apoptoticevents in aging cells induced by D-galactose (D-gal), weexamined the effect of Kn delivered via nuchalsubcutaneous injection on D-gal-induced aging andapoptosis in rats. Our results showed that interleukin (IL)-2levels and mitochondrial membrane potential (Δ Ψ m) weredecreased by Kn in aging rats while IL-6 production andapoptosis increased. In addition, the expression ofanti-apoptotic Bcl-2 was low while that of Bax was high inthe aging group. After treated with Kn, compared withaging group, there showed obvious difference in Kn groupwith elevated IL-2, proliferation index, Bcl-2, Δ Ψ m anddecreased IL-6 and Bax in splenic lymphocyte. Based onthese results, we concluded that Kn can effectively protectthe rat spleen from aging, apoptosis, and atrophy.
