        자연산 점몰개, Squalidus multimaculatus Hosoya et Jeon의 새인두흡충, Clinostomum complanatum (Rudolphi, 1814) 감염

        경상북도 영덕군의 하천에 서식하는 점몰개 spotted barbel gudgeon (Squalidus multimaculatus Hosoya et Jeon)의 근육에서 새인두흡충 Clinostomum complanatum (Rudolphi, 1814)의 피낭유충이 발견되었다. 감염된 점몰개는 "yellow grub"인 기생충의 피낭유충으로 인해 표면이 울퉁불퉁하게 보였으며, 수면위에 힘없이 유영하였고 일부 폐사한 개체도 발견되었다. 분리된 탈낭유충의 형태는 혓바닥 모양이었으며, 크기는 2.85~5.89 mm×0.8~1.99 mm였다. 어체당 1~98 개의 피낭유충을 분리하였으며 평균 감염수는 25개로 나타났다. 특히, 성어크기인 평균 7 cm 정도의 점몰개는 100% 감염되어 있었다. 본 연구는 한국의 자연수계에 서식하는 어류에서 C. complanatum 의해 질병이 발생하고 폐사가 일어난 첫 보고이다. The metacercariae of Clinostomum complanatum (Rudolphi, 1814) were isolated in the whole body muscle of wild freshwater fish, spotted barbel gudgeon (Squalidus multimaculatus Hosoya et Jeon) from the local river in Yeongdeok, Gyeongsangbuk-do, Korea. The infected fish with bumpy body surface by "yellow grub" showed erratic swimming behavior and some fish were died. The isolated excysted metacercariae were tongue shaped and 2.85~5.89 mm × 0.8~1.99 mm in size. 1~98 metacercariae were isolated in individual fish and mean infection intensity was 25. All examined adult spotted barbel gudgeon sizing 7 cm in body length were infected. This is the first report of disease outbreak and mortality caused by C. complanatum infection in wild freshwater fish in Korea.

        To improve administration of ketolorac tromethamine, we prepared matrix tablets with Eudragit (RS 100 or 30D), diluents (avicel:lactose=l:l or Ca phosphate) and Mg stearate using wet-granulation method. Sustained release matrix tablets using Eudragit® RS 100 7 and 10% decreased dissolution rate at pH 1.2 and 68 Ca. phosphate as diluents showed more decreased dissolution rate than that of avicel:lactose (1:l). Sustained release matrix tablets using Eudragit® RS 30D also showed very effective sustained release of KT.

      • 실험적 간경화 동물모델 비교

        Hepatic cirrhosis is a common response to chronic liver injury from many causes and is one of the most common cause of all deaths. This study was carried out to develop a suitable experimental hepatic cirrhosis in rats to understand this disease and to apply for the pharmacokinetic in disease state. Following three kinds of experimental models were induced; 1)Bile duct ligation/scission (BDL/S), 2) N,N-dimethylnitrosamine(DMN), 3)Carbon tetrachloride. The hepatic cirrhosis was characterized by examining the liver/body weight ratio, serum biochemical values, hydroxyproline content in liver and histological appearance in cirrhotic rat liver(hematoxylin & eosin). The results are as follows : (1) In BDL/S, the liver was enlarged to 250% of normal liver. In contrast the liver was shrinked to 48% and 78% of the normal liver in DMN and CCI₄, respectively. (2) In CCI₄ and BDL/S, the serum ALT, AST, ALP and total bilirubin levels were significantly increased to 200-300% of normal level, while ALT and total bilirubin level were significantly increased in DMN group. (3) Hydroxyproline content in cirrhotic rat liver was significantly 200-500% higher than that of normal liver. (4) Nodular formation with fibrosis was observed in BDL/S, DMN, CCI₄ induced cirrhotic rat liver.

      • 좌심실 장축 운동의 기능적 의의 (Ⅰ)

        To assess the functional significance of long axis movement which would reflect the fiber orientation of the ventricular muscle, we examined the mitral annulus motion and compared it with standard minor axis movement. M-mode echocardiogram were performed in 24 healthy individuals and 17 mitral valve replaced (MVR) patients with simultaneous EKG and phonocardiogram recordings. The results were as follows : 1. In the controls, the onset of shortening of long axis preceeds that of minor axis (phase difference : 20±3msec, mean± SEM) but in MVR patients this phase difference was reversed (-33±8msec). It means that the spherical shape changes which can be observed in normal controls during isovolumic contraction period were lost in MVR patients. 2. In MVR patients, the time intervals from A2 to the end of shortening of long axis were significantly delayed compared with normal controls (54±3 VS 90±8 msec, P<0.01). 3. In MVR patients, the delayed shortening of long axis was observed in amplitude as well as in time. In summary. we observed the regional nonuniformity between long axis and short axis in normal control and interpreted that it could play a role in modulating ventricular function which was lost in MVR patients.

        인장물성 평가를 위한 연속압입시험법의 실험조건 최적화

        The continuous indentation test, which measures indentation depth with applied load, has been used to evaluate the tensile properties whose accuracy can vary depending on such experimental conditions as maximum depth ratio, indenter radius, number of unloadings and unloading ratio. In this study, Taguchi method, one of the designs of experiment, was applied to quantify the effects of the experimental conditions effectively. Using a signal-to-noise ratio calculated from the error in the indentation tensile properties, the optimum values of the experimental conditions were presented. The indentation tensile properties from the load-depth curves with the optimum conditions showed better accuracy than those with existing conditions.

        Asynchronous Transfer Mode(ATM) has been proposed as the target switching and multi-plexing schemes for broadband ISDN(B-ISDN). A variety of traffic types such as voice, data and video can be integrated into the network. Among the traffic types, video requires a significantly higher bandwidth than voice and data. Since video will be a major traffic component in the future multimedia communiation, transporting video traffic in a very efficient manner will be the key point for the successful implementation of B-ISDN. Therefore, the characterization of video traffic sources are essential for the design of traffic control algorithms in ATM networks. The knowledge of bit rate statistics are necessary for the proper bandwidth allocation algorithms in the ATM networks. Since VBR(Variable Bit Rate) video transmission can be achieved taking advantages of the inherent burstiness of video sources, VBR encoding algorithms are well suited for the ATM networks. VBR video transmission also provides uniform quality video by transmitting at a higher rate during high-activity scenes and at a low rate when there is less motion. As the bit rate is not a constant, it is necessary to develop some statistical models in order to represent cell arrivals from video sources. The bit rate generated by a VBR coder depends on the type of video scenes, video coding algorithms, and video quality requirements. A video source model should have simple and effective parameters for performance evaluation and traffic control of ATM networks. In this paper, some video models are surveyed and reviewed. A video model was chosen and simulated. The simulation results are shown in order to illustrate some generated bit pattern of video sequence. Some of the results found may also be used for the design of efficient traffic control algorithm in ATM networks.

      • 심실전도장애환자에서 위상각 분석의 의의

        It is known that the normal His-Purkinje system provides for nearly synchronous activation of the right and left ventricles. When this His-Purkinje conduction is abnormal, the resulting sequence of the both ventricular contraction should be changed. These abnormal mechanical consequences resulting from abnormal conduction system have been difficult to demonstrate because these are very rapid and complex. We evaluate the phase angle analysis using radionuclide gated blood pool scan(GBP) as a quantitative method which can determine the asynchronous contraction of left ventricule in patients with complete left bundle branch block(C-LBBB, 20 cases) and complete right bundle branch block(C-RBBB, 15 cases). The results as follows : 1) The ejection fractions, peak ejection rates, in GBP were significantly decraesed in patients with C-LBBB compared with controls(10 cases, 70± 4.2 vs 44± 13.9%, 3.51± 0.62 vs 2.48± 0.98, p<0.05 by t-test respectively). The peak filling rates were also decreased in patients with C-LBBB(3.38± 0.92 vs 1.76± 0.71, 1A.05). 2) In the phase angle analysis, the standard deviations and the width of half maximum of phase angle were significantly increased in patients with C-LBBB(8.6± 1.8 vs 20.6± 18.1, 16.0± 3.9 vs 22.5± 9.2, p<0.05 by t-test respectively). And the ranges of phase angle were also increased in C-LBBB(51.3± 5.4 vs 95.7± 31.7, p<0.05). 3) But there were no significant differences in GBP and phase angle analysis between patients with C-RBBB and controls. As the results above, it can be concluded that the phase angle analysis can provide an accurate noninvasive method to detect the asynchronous contraction in patients with abnormal intraventricular electrical activation.
