Objectives : This study was aimed to elucidate the effects of Trichosanthes kirilowii extract (TKE) on the angiogenesis and growth of tumor cells. Methods : Tube formation assay was performed by using human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC), and anchorage dependent colony assay was performed by using B16-F10 melanoma, Hep G2 and HT1080, CT-26 and SNU-1 cells. Results : For HUVEC, TKE at a level of more than 100 ${\mu}g/m{\ell}$ suppresses cell growth. For HUVEC at 100 ${\mu}g/m{\ell}$ and greater TKE density, the formation of tubes was suppressed in a dose-dependant manner. TKE controls the colony formations of B16-F10 melanoma cells, CT 26 cells, and Hep G2 cells, and its effect is proportional to density. In HT1080 cells and SNU-1 cells, formation is suppressed regardless of density. Conclusions : From these results, it could be concluded that TKE has significant properties on anti-angiogenesis and growth inhibiting of tumor cells. It is suggested that TKE will be a good candidate for new drugs or therapeutics for anti-angiogenesis.

In this study, serviceability evaluating methods for buildings undergoing wind actions on several countries were compared to each others and a rational approach method to evaluate serviceability was discussed. A serviceability evaluating method in accordance with Korea wind climate was proposed based on analyzing meteorological wind data in Incheon City. Serviceability of buildings is mainly affected both estimation-time of wind and return period. From the results, there are found that ten minute's estimation-time and one year's return period for evaluating serviceability are appropriate to the wind climate in Incheon City. The results of this study are to be used as basic data on serviceability criteria in Korea. 본 연구에서는 주요 각국 사용성 평가기준을 검토하여 건축물의 사용성 평가를 위한 합리적인 접근방법을 고찰하였다. 그리고 우리나라 인천지역의 풍기후 특징을 분석하여 우리나라에 적합한 사용성 평가방법을 제시하였다. 건축물의 사용성을 합리적으로 평가하기 위해서 가장 중요한 사항은 사용성을 위한 평가시간과 재현기간의 결정이다. 본 연구의 결과로부터 인천의 풍기후에 적합한 사용성 평가방법은 평가시간을 10분, 재현기간을 1년으로 결정하는 것이 바람직한 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 향후 우리나라 사용성 평가기준의 제정에 기초적인 자료로 사용될 것으로 판단된다

This study is concerned with the estimation of wind speeds for return period in the major cities reflecting the recent meteorological data(1991-2002). Annal-maximum wind speeds averaged 10-minute were used in this study. They were standardized homogeneously to the surface roughness category C, and to 10m above ground surface. The data were statistically reduced using extreme value analysis procedures based on Gumbel's distribution. The major cities selected in this study are the east coast(Gangneung, Uljin, Pohang), the south coast(Busan, Yeosu, Ulsan), the west coast(Gunsan, Mokpo, Incheon), the inland(Gwangju, Deagu, Deajeon, Seoul, Jeonju, cheongju) and the island(Seogwipo, Ulleungdo, Jeju). The wind speeds for 100 year's return period in major cities are estimated and then these result compared with Korea Standard Design Load for Buildings. 본 연구에서는 현재 풍하중기준에 반영되지 못한 최근 지표면의 변화와 근년에 우리나라에 내습한 태풍의 풍속자료가 반영된 지역별 년최대풍속자료(1996년~2002년)를 획득하여, 풍하중기준과 같이 극치Ⅰ형분포(Gumbel분포)에 의해 우리나라 대표지역(18개 지역)을 동해안(강릉, 울진, 포항), 남해안(부산, 여수, 울산), 서해안(군산, 목포, 인천), 내륙(광주, 대구, 대전, 서울, 전주, 청주) 및 섬지역(서귀포, 울릉도, 제주)으로 구분하여 각 지역별 100년 재현기대풍속을 추정하였고, Hazen 방법에 의해 재현기대풍속의 적합성을 평가하였으며, 이러한 결과를 현행 풍하중기준과 비교, 검토하였다.
복부근력이 약한 여성에게 데드버그 운동과 복부 드로우-인 운동이 엉덩관절 폄 시 허리폄근의 근활성도와 골반각도에 미치는 영향 비교

목적: 본연구는 데드버그 운동과 복부 드로우-인 운동이 큰볼기근과 척추세움근, 반힘줄건의 근활성도와 골반 앞쪽 기울임 각도에 미치는 영향을 비교해보기 위해 실시하였다. 방법: 총 22명의 복부근력이 약한 영성을 대상으로 복부 드로우-인 운동군(n=11)과 데드버그 운동군(n=11)으로 나누었다. 중재 전에 큰볼기근과 척추세움근, 반힘줄근의 근활성도와 골반 앞쪽 기울임 각도를 측정하였다. 이후 두 집단에게 주어진 운동을 10분 동안 실시한 뒤, 동일한 방법으로 재측정하였다. 결과: 데드버그 운동군에서 큰볼기근의 근활성도는 중재 후에 유의하게 증가하였다(p<0.05). 또한 두 집단 모두 척추세움근의 근활성도가 중재 후에 유의하게 감소하였다(p<0.05). 중재 전과 후의 변화량의 모든 변수는 집단 간 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다(p>0.05). 결론: 그러므로 복부 드로우-인 운동과 데드버그 운동은 복부 근육이 약한 여성에게 엎드려 누워 엉덩관절을 폄하는 동안척추세움근의 근활성도와 골반 앞쪽 기울임을 감소시킴으로 효과적이라고 제안한다. Purpose : The aim of this study was to compare the effects of the abdominal draw-in exercise (ADIE) and the dead bug exercise (DBE) on the pelvic anterior tilt angle (PATA) and the activities of the gluteus maximus (GM), erector spinae (ES), and semi-tendinosus (ST) during prone hip extension (PHE). Methods : A total of 22 female adults with weak abdominal muscles were divided into two groups: ADIE group (n=11) and DBE group (n=12). Before the intervention, PATA and the activities of GM, ES, and ST during PHE were measured. Subsequently, two groups conducted the assigned exercise for 10 minutes, and their muscle activities and the pelvic angle were re-measured after the exercise. Results : In the DBE group, the muscle activity of GM was significantly increased after the intervention (p<0.05). Moreover, in both groups, the activity of ES and the PATA decreased significantly after the intervention (p<0.05). For all other variables, there was no significant difference in the changes before and after intervention between the two groups (p>0.05). Conclusion : Therefore, we suggest that ADIE and DBE are effective for women with weak abdominal muscles since the ES activity and PATA are reduced during PHE.
다기준 의사결정 분석법에 의한 특고압전기설비의 안전등급 평가프로그램 개발

In this paper, an improved standard is proposed for safety level assessment of 22.9 kV class high voltage installations. Also, a web-based safety level assessment program is developed based on the improved standard and algorithm. The structure of safety assessment standard includes electrical factors and environmental factors and the importance of assessment factors is evaluated based on AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) which is one of MCDA(Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis) methods. In order to assess safety level effectively, installations are classified into two types(regular type and simplified type) and hierarchical structure is adopted. Then, with the standard and algorithm, web-based safety assessment program is developed. The developed program can print the results of safety level assessment as pdf file format and the input data can be saved on the server. The simulation result shows that the program can be applicable to assessing safety level of high voltage electrical installations.

Dysphagia is an important complication for the rehabilitative treatment and life quality of stroke patients. This report is about two patients with dysphagia after stroke who were treated with Pyungwesan and Bowhawhan. The severity of the patient's dysphagia was evaluated with stage of dysphagia according to severity. After treatment, dysphagia were remarkably improved(from stage 5 to 2, 5 to 1). This result shows that Pyungwesan and Bowhawhan could be effective against dysphagia after stroke.
