        Nowadays increasing use of abdominal ultrasound in routine check-up may increase the detection rate asymtomatic cystic lesions of pancreas. Even through the majority of the cystic lesions of pancreas is pseudocyst, about 10-15% of those lesions are caused by pancreatic cystic tumor. In the pancreatic cystic tumor, especially, mucinous cystic tumor should be exicised due to its malignant potential, while the pancreatic pseudocyst or serous cystic tumon can be observed for a period or treated medically. Several clinical, radiological, biochemical and pathologic guidelines have been developed in order to distinguish among them. Among pancreatic cystic tumors, mucinous cystic adenocarcinoma is very rare and accounts for only 1% of all pancreatic neoplasms. Unlike extremely poor prognosis of pancreatic adenocarcinoma, mucinous cystic adenocarcinoma has an indolent course and shows a good prognosis after its curative resection. Recently we experienced a 69-year-old woman who had a mucinous cystic adenocarcinoma of the pancreas. We report this case with a review of literature.

      • 김치 용매획분이 고 콜레스테롤 식이를 섭취한 토끼의 심장, 신장 및 폐의 항산화 효소계 활성에 미치는 영향

        김치의 용매획분중 in vitro에서 LDL 산화억제 활성이 강했고 in vivo에서 지질저하 효과가 있었던 디클로로메탄 획분, 에틸아세테이트 획분, 수용성 획분이 고콜레스테롤 식이를 섭취한 토끼의 심장, 신장, 그리고 폐에서 항산화 효소의 활성에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 과산화물 함량은 심장이 가장 높고 신장이 가장 낮았으나, catalase와 GSH-pxghkf성은 심장이 낮았고, 신장은 높은 활성을 나타냈다. Catalase, GSH-px 및 SOD의 활성은 모든 장기에서 1% 콜레스테롤 식이를 섭취한 대조군에 비해 김치 용매획분군에서 낮았고 특히 디클로로메탄 획분군의 항산화효소 활성은 유의적으로 낮았다(p<0.05). 이러한 결과는 김치 용매획분은 심장, 신장 그리고 폐에 지방축적을 억제하는 효과가 있었고, 그로 인해 지질 유리기의 생성이 적어, 각 장기에서 유리기를 제거하는 항산화 효소의 활성이 낮은 것으로 생각된다. The effects of dichloromethane (CH_(2)Cl_(2)), ethylacetate (EtOAc) or water (H_(2)O) fraction of Korean cabbage kimchi on anti-oxidative enzyme activities of the heart, kidney and lung of rabbit fed 1% cholesterol diet for 16 weeks were studied. The amount of kimchi fraction added to the 100g of diet was 8.3mg of CH_(2)Cl_(2), 5.6mg of EtOAc, and 221.9mg of H_(2)O, which are equivalent to 5% of freeze-dried kimchi in the diet. Each group had 6 rabbits and rabbit was housed individually. Lipid peroxide values for the heart was the highest followed by lung and kindey. But the activities of catalase and GSH-px were the lowest in the heart and the highest in the kidney. Activities of anti-oxidative enzymes (catalase. GSH-px, Mn-SOD, Cu, Zn-SOD) of rabbits fed kimchi solvent fractions added diets were lower than those of the control which fed 1% cholesterol diet. Among kimchi groups, CH_(2)Cl_(2) group showed the lowest(p<0.05) enzymes activities. Lipid accumulation in these organs fed diets with kimchi solvent fractions, especially with CH_(2)Cl_(2) fraction, were lower than that of the control. Therefore, production of the lipid free radicals might be suppressed and the activities of anti-oxidative enzymes responsible for removing the free radicals seemed to be lowered in kimch frachoin-fed rabbits.

        NIHSS 활용을 통한 뇌졸중 환자 간호의 질향상 전략

        문제: 뇌졸중 환자를 돌보는 간호현장에서는 급성기 뇌졸중 환자의 증상악화에 대한 조기사정과 적절한 대처가 매우 중요한 문제이다. 그러나 임상현장에서는 이를 객관화하고 수치화하여 모든 의료진이 의사소통할 수 있는 유용한 도구를 사용하고 있지는 못하는 실정이다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기위해 NIHSS(National Institute of Health Stroke Scale)를 신경과 진료의사를 중심으로활용하고 있지만 아직 간호현장에서는보편적으로사용하지 않고있다. 이에 뇌졸중환자간호에 NIHSS를 활용하여 뇌졸중 증상악화의 조기사정과 빠른 대처로 궁극적으로는 뇌졸중환자 간호의 질을보다 향상시키기 위하여 본활동이 시도되었다. 목적: 첫째, 간호사의 NIHSS 측정 신뢰도의 현수준을 점검하고 이를향상시키기 위한 프로그램을 개발·적용한다. 둘째, 간호사가급성기 뇌졸중환자에게 NIHSS 측정을 통하여 뇌졸중악화를 얼마나 예측할 수 있는지 분석하고 이를 향상시킬수있는 방법을 모색한다. 셋째, 궁극적으로 급성기 뇌졸중 환자의 증상악화의 조기 발견과치료를위한의료진의 올바른 대처지침을 마련하여 이를 적용한다. 의료기관: 경기도에 소재한 대학병원의 뇌졸중 집중치료실 질 향상 활동: 첫째, 간호사의 NIHSS 측정 신뢰도 향상을 위해 「NIHSS 간호사 교육 프로그램」을 마련하였다.

        본 연구는 분말상 원료(전분, 대두분)의 저장유통시 품질변화를 건전성과 안전성 측면에서 검토하여 식품의 기준 ·규격 설정f.」 합지적으로 반영하고자 하였다. 전분과 패두분의 이물을 검사하고, 2종 대두분(중국산, 미국산)을 ?0일간 IS'c와 30t에 저장하면서 성상, 수분, 산가, 과산화물가, 지방산 조성,아플라톡신 BB의 생성여부를 분석하였다. 중국산 대두분 30'』 저장군에서 50일 이후 곰팡이가 발생한 것 이외에 모든 시료에서 양호한 성상을 나타내었고, 전분과 대두닥 모든 시료에서 이물은 검출되지 않았다. 산가는 중국산과 미국산 시료간에 편차를 보여 증국산 30"C, 50일 저장시료에서 약 10배끙도 증가하였고, 과산화물가는 저장 90일후 15'E 저장군은 약 2.3배, 30'c 저장군은 3배정도 증가하였다. 대두분의 주요 지방산은 linoleic acidf18. 2), oleic acid(18 : 1), palmitic acid(16 : 0)이었으며, 3개월 저장에 따른 지방산 함량의 변화는 미미하였다. 아플라톡신 B₁은 모든 시료에서 검출되지 않았다. The objective of this study was to investigate auality changes of type raw materials(starch, soy flour) during various storage conditions. Starchflour(source of China, U.S.A) were slfred under two temperature(15'C, 30'c) forSensory evaluation, (o.reign material test, moisture content, acid value, peroxide ualue,composition, aflatorin Bi were analyzed. China soy flour(stor·ed 30'f) was contaminated by fungj on 50 days. Except for soy flour contardnated by fungi, sensory characteristics were not changed and foreign mater;als were notdetected. Acid value of China soy flour(stored at 30'C, 90 days) was about 10 times higherlevel before storage and acid value was more influenced by source(China, USA). Peroxide valuewas in proportion with the storage period slightly. The major fatty acid of soy flour waslinoleic acid(18 . 2), an(3 the change of fatty acid composition was not observed. Aflatoxlrl Blwas not detected.

      • 정의적 특성이 수학적 문제 해결력에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study is to provide some basic data which can be helpful for improving the methods of mathematics teaching-learning emphasizing the affective factors by investigating the effect on affective characteristics and mathematical problem solving ability of the students on the elementary school sixth grade. In order to achieve these purpose, the following research problems were set up for the present study: The results of this study are as follows: First, it was appeared that there was not any difference on attitude on mathematics, belief, self-confidence and the degree of mathematical problem solving ability by sex. Second, it was appeared that there was some statistical meaningful difference on attitude on mathematics, belief, self-confidence and the degree of mathematical problem solving ability according to high middle low ability on mathematics which the students think that they have. Based on the results of this study, I'd like to give some suggestions as followings to provide some help to teaching and learning mathematics. First, the succeeding studies are needed by selecting different population from the population of this study, classifying low-ranking factors consisting of affective characteristics differently from this study, compounding each low-ranking factors in various manners like using new items, etc. Second, the succeeding studies are needed in this part, because what mathematical belief teachers have mathematics can have an effect on students' mathematical belief and action as well as on teachers' thinking process and action in the class. Third, the succeeding studies are needed to develop concrete field study and program which can be helpful for improving actually students' affective behavior characteristics in school field.

      • Effect of Fluoroethylene Carbonate on Electrochemical Performances of Lithium Electrodes and Lithium-Sulfur Batteries

        <P>The positive impact of a fluoroethylene carbonate (FEC) solvent on the interfacial stability of Li metal electrodes and the electrochemical performance of lithium-sulfur (Li-S) cells is investigated. To confirm the effects of FEC on electrolyte decomposition and cell resistance, the surface chemistry and impedance of an Li electrode cycled in electrolytes with and without a FEC solvent are investigated using attenuated total reflectance–Fourier transform infrared (ATR-FTIR) spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), time of flight secondary ion mass spectrometry (ToF-SIMS), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. A protective layer with a FEC solvent for the formation of robust SEI and carbonate-based solvents for the suppression of polysulfide attack against an Li anode was formed on the Li anode by UV-curing polymerization. It is found that the protective layer with FEC effectively suppresses the significant overcharge by the shuttle process of polysulfide species and improves cycling performance of Li-S cells.</P>

      • Validation of the Korean version of the European Community Respiratory Health Survey screening questionnaire for use in epidemiologic studies for adult asthma

        <P><B>Background</B></P><P>Standardized questionnaire is one of key instruments for general population surveys.</P><P><B>Objective</B></P><P>The present study aimed to develop and validate the Korean version of the European Community Respiratory Health Survey (ECRHS) screening questionnaire for adult asthma surveys.</P><P><B>Methods</B></P><P>The ECRHS screening questionnaire was translated into Korean language according to the international criteria. Study participants were prospectively recruited from six referral hospitals and one health check-up center. Comprehensibility of the translation was tested in a pilot study of 10 patients. The reliability was evaluated by internal consistency and test-retest repeatability. Validity was assess with regard to physician-diagnosed asthma.</P><P><B>Results</B></P><P>A total of 100 adult asthma patients and 134 volunteers were recruited. Reliability was examined for 10 items in 100 asthmatics; Cronbach α coefficients were 0.84, and test-retest repeatability was good (Cohen κ coefficient, 0.71-1.00). Validity was assessed for 8 items in 234 participants; in particular, 'recent wheeze' showed a high sensitivity (0.89) for physician-diagnosed asthma. 'Recent asthma attack' and 'current asthma medication' showed high specificity (0.96-0.98).</P><P><B>Conclusion</B></P><P>The present study demonstrated that the Korean version of the ECRHS screening questionnaire was comprehensible, reliable and valid. We suggest the questionnaire to be utilized in further epidemiological studies for asthma in Korean adult populations.</P>

        <P>The microstructure and characteristics of silicon-incorporated diamond-like carbon film, fabricated using a radio-frequency plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition process with hexamethyldisilane [(CH3)3,Si x Si(CH3)3:HMDS] gas as a silicon source, were investigated. Diamond-like carbon films with silicon compositions from 0 to 5 atomic percent were deposited onto ultra-fine grained AZ31 magnesium alloy substrate as buffer layers or multilayers. Si doping led not only to an increase in the bonding ratio (sp3/sp2), but improvements in hardness, critical adhesion, and corrosion resistance. Out of the investigated samples, the multi-deposited silicon diamond-like carbon thin film on magnesium substrate showed the best combination of adhesive, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance properties.</P>

        It is necessary to provide sufficient daylighting to indoor. Daylighting systems are useful to apply for modern buildings. This study is to suggest architectural application of daylighting systems. By case studies, architectural application methods are analyzed. For the study, the configurations and characteristics of day lighting systems are comparatively analyzed. It will help architectural application of daylighting systems.
