Possible degradation pathways of triclosan from aqueous systems via TiO2 assisted photocatalyis
Lucian Alexandru Constantin,Ines Nitoi,Nicolae Ionut Cristea,Mirela Alina Constantin 한국공업화학회 2018 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.58 No.-
Triclosan (TCS) is an antimicrobial agent used for personal care products that cannot be removed bywastewater treatment classical processes. TCS persistence and toxicity is asking for alternative treatmentmethods such as TiO2 assisted photocatalyse. Due to the fact that within the literature are presentedvarious pathways for TCS degradation via UV/TiO2 photocatalysis, some data being contradictory, research work aimed to propose a degradation mechanism supported by as many experimental data. TCSdegradation pathways confirmed by experimental results were: addition of hydroxyl radicals at TCS nonphenolicring, proton extraction by hydroxyl radicals and direct interaction with photo generatedelectrons.

A refinement of Gr"{u}ss type inequality for the Bochner integral ofvector-valued functions in real or complex Hilbert spaces is given. Relatedresults are obtained. Application for finite Fourier transforms ofvector-valued functions and some particular inequalities are provided.
Field Measurements of Wave Directionality in Water of Finite Depth
Constantine Memos,Athanassios Ziros 한국해양과학기술원 2003 Ocean and Polar Research Vol.25 No.3s
Field measurements of directional waves were carried out during the summer of 2002 at two coastal sites in water of finite depth. A couple of general purpose instruments were used employing acoustic Doppler technology. The aim of the study was to investigate the spatial behavior of the directional movement of waves as they come ashore. In total, 74 tests were carried out during which sea states of low to moderate intensity were recorded. A great number of these runs displayed bimodal characteristics of the spreading function at high frequencies. It was found that in general, the frequency-integrated directional width tends to broaden as the water shoals and when refraction effects are negligible. This is attributed to wave-wave interactions that become pronounced in shallow water. The same directional width showed, also, a tendency to increase with increasing peak frequency of the sea state spectrum. The behavior of the kurtosis of the spreading function was also examined. It was found that for higher frequencies this index tends to increase in wave spectra above a certain sea severity threshold.
Benefits of contrast-enhanced ultrasonography for interventional procedures
Constantin Arndt Marschner,Johannes Rübenthaler,Matthias Frank Froelich,Vincent Schwarze,Dirk-André Clevert 대한초음파의학회 2021 ULTRASONOGRAPHY Vol.40 No.2
For evaluating unclear tumorous lesions, contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (CEUS) is an important imaging modality in addition to contrast-enhanced computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging, and may provide valuable insights into the microvascularization of tumors in dynamic examinations. In interventional procedures, CEUS can make a valuable contribution in pre-, peri-, and post-interventional settings, reduce radiation exposure and, under certain circumstances, decrease the number of interventions needed for patients.
Flexural analysis of steel fibre-reinforced concrete members
Constantin E. Chalioris,Thomas A. Panagiotopoulos 사단법인 한국계산역학회 2018 Computers and Concrete, An International Journal Vol.22 No.1
A numerical approach for the evaluation of the flexural response of Steel Fibrous Concrete (SFC) cross-sections with arbitrary geometry, with or without conventional steel longitudinal reinforcing bars is proposed. Resisting bending moment versus curvature curves are calculated using verified non-linear constitutive stress-strain relationships for the SFC under compression and tension which include post-peak and post-cracking softening parts. A new compressive stress-strain model for SFC is employed that has been derived from test data of 125 stress-strain curves and 257 strength values providing the overall compressive behaviour of various SFC mixtures. The proposed sectional analysis is verified using existing experimental data of 42 SFC beams, and it predicts the flexural capacity and the curvature ductility of SFC members reasonably well. The developed approach also provides rational and more accurate compressive and tensile stress-strain curves along with bending moment versus curvature curves with regards to the predictions of relevant existing models.
From Multimedia Data Mining to Multimedia Big Data Mining
Constantin, Gradinaru Bogdanel,Mirela, Danubianu,Luminita, Barila Adina International Journal of Computer ScienceNetwork S 2022 International journal of computer science and netw Vol.22 No.11
With the collection of huge volumes of text, image, audio, video or combinations of these, in a word multimedia data, the need to explore them in order to discover possible new, unexpected and possibly valuable information for decision making was born. Starting from the already existing data mining, but not as its extension, multimedia mining appeared as a distinct field with increased complexity and many characteristic aspects. Later, the concept of big data was extended to multimedia, resulting in multimedia big data, which in turn attracted the multimedia big data mining process. This paper aims to survey multimedia data mining, starting from the general concept and following the transition from multimedia data mining to multimedia big data mining, through an up-to-date synthesis of works in the field, which is a novelty, from our best of knowledge.
ROSSi A Graphical Programming Interface for ROS 2
Constantin Wanninger,Sebastian Rossi,Martin Schorner,Alwin Hoffmann,Alexander Poeppel,Christian Eymueller,Wolfgang Reif 제어로봇시스템학회 2021 제어로봇시스템학회 국제학술대회 논문집 Vol.2021 No.10
The Robot Operating System (ROS) offers developers a large number of ready-made packages for developing robot programs. The multitude of packages and the different interfaces or adapters is also the reason why ROS projects often tend to become confusing. Concepts of model-driven software development using a domain-specific modeling language could counteract this and at the same time speed up the development process of such projects. This is investigated in this paper by transferring the core concepts from ROS 2 into a graphical programming interface. Elements of established graphical programming tools are compared and approaches from modeling languages such as UML are used to create a novel approach for graphical development of ROS projects. The resulting interface is evaluated through the development of a project built on ROS, and the approach shows promise towards facilitating work with the Robot Operating System.
An analysis of Published Process-Product Research on Physical Education Teaching Methods
( Constantine Chatoupis ),( George Vagenas ) 한국스포츠정책과학원(구 한국스포츠개발원) 2011 International Journal of Applied Sports Sciences Vol.23 No.1
The purpose of this study was to identify, categorize, and analyze published process-product research on physical education teaching methods completed between 1960 and 2009. A literature search utilizing electronic databases yielded 138 studies which met the criteria for inclusion in the analysis. Each study was analyzed to obtain information on (a) the decade the study was published, (b) the number of authors, (c) the publication outlet, (d) the type of class, (e) the sampling method, (f) the effect size, (g) the statistics used, and (h) the statistical assumptions. The results indicated that most studies were the result of collaboration efforts among researchers. Also, intact classes rather than randomization was the most common technique used for forming the experimental groups. In the majority of the studies, the selection of the sample was done by means of purposive sampling techniques. A large proportion of the studies used univariate statistics to complete the data analysis. However, the majority of the papers reviewed did not report effect size values nor did they report fulfilment of certain statistical assumptions. The major publication outlet for process-product research was the Journal of Teaching in Physical Education.
