      • 4사이클 가솔린 機關의 熱精算에 관한 硏究

        The performance tests for an 87 PS 4-cylinder 4-cycle gasoline engine were carried out in order to measure the heat balances in various operating conditions. The experimental apparatus is equiped with 130kW eddy current dynamometer. In the heat balance diagram of the engine, mechanical losses could be quite accurately estimated by substracting shaft power from indicated power of the engine since the indicated power was obtained from indicator diagram by a piezo-electric pressure sensor located at the cylinder head and the shaft power was measured by the eddy current dynamometer. The typical results obtained in this study can be summarized as follows. First, The best engine performance shows around 2000 rpm of the engine speed in most running conditions. Second, The heat transfer rate to cooling water and to exhaust gas as well as output and frictional works change considerably with the engine speed and boost pressure. However, the extra losses(those are, heat transfers to oil, air, ete.) do not change much with respect to them. Third, The rate of mechanical loss increases as engine speed increases, but, at the same engine speed, the rate of mechanical loss does not change much as boost pressure varies.

      • 표면 미세 가공 기술로 제작된 Piezoresistive 마이크로 외팔보를 이용한 바이오 센서의 제작 및 특성

        제작이 간단하며 비용이 저렴한 표면 미세 가공 기술을 이용하여 바이오 센서로 이용 될 piezoresistive 마이크로 외팔보를 제작하였다. 바이오 센서의 특성을 평가하기 위해서 마이크로 외팔보 한쪽면에 중착된 금박막에 금 분자와 공유결합을 하는 thiol기를 포함한 cystamine과 cystamine의 amine기와 공유결합을 하는 aldehyde기를 포함한 glutaraldehyde를 연속적으로 흘려주었다. 반응 후의 마이크로 외팔보의 휘어짐은 잘 알려진 광학적 측정 방식과 직접적인 전기적 검출이 가능한 piezoresistive 측정 방식을 사용하여 실시간으로 측정하였다. A microcantilever-based biosensor with piezoresistor has been fabricated using surface micromachining technique, which is cost effective and simplifies a fabrication procedure. To evaluate the characteristics of the cantilever, the cystamine terminated with thiol was covalently immobilized on the gold-coated side of the cantilever and glutaraldehyde that would be bonded with amine group in the cystamine was injected subsequently. This process was characterized by measuring the deflection of the cantilever in real time monitoring. Using a piezoresistive read-out and a well-known optical beam deflection method as well carried out the measurement of deflection.

        Pontine tegmental hemorrhage involving the trigeminal tract, the medial lemniscus, and the spinothalamic tract frequently give rise to various sensory dysfunctions. However, isolated hypesthesia confined to certain parts of trigeminal sensory dermatomes is very rare. We experienced a case of impairment of pain and temperature sense over the unilateral ophthalmic (V1) and maxillary (V2) nerve distribution. Brain CT and gradient echo MRI showed a small hemorrhage in the right dorsomedial midpons. The segmental sensory impairment may explain by somatotopic representation of trigeminal nucleus and tract in the ventral to dorsal and cranio-caudal direction

      • 靑色 사파이어의 熱處理와 分光學的 特性

        For the blue sapphires from Santung, China, the color change before and after has been investigated by UV-Visible spectrophotometry method. The blue sapphires from Shantung show four groups of absorption bands: the bands A (374, 386 and 450 ㎚) being attributed to single Fe^3+ ion, the band B (560, 579 and 704 ㎚) to Fe^2+/Ti^4+ pairs, the band C (∼800 ㎚) to Fe^2+/Fe^3+ pairs, and the D (528 ㎚) to Ti^3+ dd transitions. From those UV-VIS characteristics the origin of blue color of the sapphires is confirmed to be attributed by the factors such as Fe^2+/Fe^3+ and Ti^3+/Ti^4+. The absorption spectra of natural blue sapphires before and after heat treatment show distintive features, comparing with those of sapphires from other localities: the bands of 689 ㎚ and of Cr^3+ are not recorded on the spectra of sapphires from Shantung. The band (492 ㎚), which resulted from Ti^3+, is not shown and the intensity of the band 528 ㎚ decreases after the heat treatment. Decoloration of ink-blue sapphires are found to be successful by heat treatment with the control of annealing and atmosphere. During the diffusion process the excess components of impurities contained originally in the host crystal were expelled to the surface of crystals, enhancing the transparency of the crystals noticeably.

        In this paper, we propose a watermarking technique using biorthogonal wavelet transform and hierarchical correlation. The proposed technique inserts a watermark at high frequency domain and improves the computational time for extracting the watermark using hierarchical correlation. In the experiment, we show the performance of the proposed technique and use bar code as watermark to automatically manage the watermarked images.

        규산질 비료의 참외 흰가루병 발생 억제 효과

        토양에 시용한 규산의 참외 흰가루병에 대한 직접적인 억제 효과와 살균제의 방제 효과를 증진시킬 수 있는 보조효과를 조사하였다. 규산질 비료의 처리는 철가루병 균에 의해 감염된 참외 잎에서 균사의 생장과 분생포자의 형성을 억제함으로써 흰가루병 발생을 일부 억제할 수 있는 것으로 조사되었다. 물론 규산질 비료 자체만의 흰가루병 발생 억제 효과는 매우 미약한 수준이었으나 살균제의 흰가루병 방제 효과를 크게 증진시켜줄 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 현재 농가 현장에서 밝혀지고 있는 규산질 비료의 참외 병해 발생 억제 효과는 주로 이러한 살균제의 효과를 증진시킬 수 있는 규산의 보조적인 작용에 기인하는 것으로 판단된다. 따라서 토양에 대한 적절한 수준의 규산질 비료의 시용은 살균제의 방제 효과 증진을 통하여 과다한 약제의 사용과 그에 따른 부작용을 경감시킬 수 있을 것으로 보인다. 규산질 비료의 흰가루병 발생 억제 효과를 증진시키기 위해서는 앞으로 병의 발생을 최대로 억제할 수 있는 참외 잎 중의 적정 규소 함량에 대한 검토 등의 추가적인 연구가 필요할 것이다. Silicon is known to accumulate in plants and results in greater resistance to diseases and insect pests. In this study, we investigated the effect of silicate fertUizer applied in soil on the development of powdery mildew of oriental melon Oriental melon seedlings of four-leaf stage were transplanted and grown in a plastic film house. silicate fertilizer was applied to maintain soil available SiO₂ level of 200 ㎎/㎏ one week before transplanting. Fungicide trinumizol was sprayed three times; one, two, and three weeks after transplanting. Sphaerotheca fuliginea was inoculated 2 weeks after transplanting. The number of infected leaf and the number of fungal colony in leaves were measured one, two, and three weeks after the inoculation. Three weeks after the fungal inoculation, in the treatment of fungicide triflwnhl, infected leaf numbem and number of colony per leaf were reduced by 10 and 58% respectively. In the silicate fertilizer treatment, infected leaf numbers and numbers of colony per infected leaf were suppressed only by 6 and 16%, respectively, and the efficacy was lower than that of the fungicide triflumizol. The combined treatment of silicate fertilizer and the fungicide suppressed powdery mildew more effectively, and infected leaf numbem and numbem of colony per leaf were reduced by 31 and 80%, respectively. These results indicate that although silicate fertilizer itself is not much effective in the suppression of powdery mildew, it can significantly enhance the efficacy of the fungicide.

      • 초등학교 고학년 학생의 전두엽연합령 기능에 따른 보존논리 형성 정도

        The purpose of this study is to investigate the functions of prefrontal lobe on the formation of conservation scheme of elementary students. In this study, 107 students of 4th to 6th grades were selected from the elementary school in Seoul area. As to the research, 4 items for conservation logic test from GALT test sheet were used. The planning ability, inhibiting ability and reasoning ability were measured for the prefrontal lobe functions. About 30% of 4-6 grade students did not have volume conservation logic skills. The formation of conservations was not linear. Inhibiting ability was significantly different in level of conservation. And, conservation logic skills were significantly correlated with cognitive variables. Reasoning ability was significantly explained about 10% of the conservation logic in 4-6 grades.

        천연염색 의류에 대한 소비자 반응 및 소비자 특성

        The main purpose of this exploratory research was to examine the characteristics of consumers who patronize natural-dyed clothes and their perceptions regarding natural-dyed clothes. Thirty three participants who have worn natural-dyed clothes were interviewed for the study. They were asked about styles and price of natural-dyed clothes they owned, their evaluation on them, and the lifestyles of themselves. Existence of subculture among the interviewes and its characteristics were also probed. The results indicated that natural-dyed clothes are relatively high-priced, mostly of modified hanbok style, and became popular in recent years. Interviewees frequently mentioned uniqueness and comfort as the main benefits of natural-dyed clothes, and expressed dissatisfaction regarding color fastness, easy care and problem of coordination. The consumers of natural-dyed clothes appeared to have strong preferences for environment conservation and Korean traditional culture. They also seemed to form a subcultural group who have commonality in their involvement in Korean cultural activities, mainly tea ceremony.
