      • 철서 지역에서 채집한 양서류의 중금속 오염에 관한 연구

        본 연구는 비오염 지역에서 참개구리의 성장 단계벨로 증금속의 축적 변동을 조사한 것이다. 일반적으로 올챙이 시기의 증금속 농도는 Fe > Mn > Zn > Cu > Ni > Pb > Cd,Hg의 순이었으며 성체 시기에는 Zn > Fe, Mn > Cu > Pb > Ni > Cd, Hg의 순으로 나타났다. Fe, Mn, Cu, Ni 농도는 성장이 진행됨에 따라 점차 낮아지는 경향을 보였고 Zn은 전기간을 통해 큰 변동이 없는것으로 나타났다. 대부분의 원소는 뒷다리 형성 시기에 체중 증가에 따른 농도 회석 현상이 발견 되었으며 이러한 현상은 Fe, Mn, Ni에 대하여 성체가 되는 시기에 특히 현저하였다. Heavy metal accumulations and their age-related changes were investigated in the tadpole and adult frog (Rana nigromaculata) inhabiting non-polluted area. A rank of metal concentrations was Fe > Mn > Zn > Cu > Ni > Pb > Cd. Hg in tadpole stage, and Zn > Fe, Mn > Cu > Pb > Ni > Cd, Hg in frog stage. The concentration of Fe, Mn, Cu and Ni decreased with age, and Zn concentration did not change much. A dilution effect of metal concentration by increased body weight was observed in the stage of tadpole with hind limb for most of metals, and it was marked in the stage of adult frog for Fe, Mn and Ni.

        For finding the optimal strategy in Blackout game which was introduced in the homepage of popular movie "Beautiful mind", we develop a mathematical proof and an algorithm with a software. We only use the concept of basis and knowledge of basic linear algebra. This process can be extended to the fullsize Go table problem and shows why we have to study mathematics at the college level.

        설편평세포암에서 CD44, MMP-2, MMP-9, TIMP-1의 발현

        Adhesion molecules and proteinases play an important role in the invasion and metastasis of a malignant tumor. However, there have not been many studies on tongue squamous cell carcinoma at Saint Mary's Hospital and Kangnam Saint Mary's Hospital, the Catholic University of Korea, between 1994 and 2000, and had not received chemo-or radiotherapy. The expression of the adhesion molecules CD44H, proteinases MMP-2 and MMP-9, and TIMP-1, which controls MMP activity, was analyzed by immunohistochemistry. In addition their association with the tumor size, lymph node metastasis, clinical stage, and cell differentiation was evaluated. Increased MMP-2 expression was significantly correlated with lymph node metastasis and clinical stage. However, it did not correlate with tumor size or cell differentiation. CD44H, MMP-9 and TIMP-1 expression were not significantly related to tumor size, lymph node metastasis, clincial stage and cell differentiation. The results suggest that MMP-2 is a possible immunohistochemical prognostic factor in tongue squamous cell carcinoma. Futher reasearches will be needed to investigate the additional tumor prognostic factors and their mechanisms.

      • 형질변형성장인자가 손상골 재생능에 미치는 영향에 과한 실험적 연구

        The purpose of this study was to observe the effect of TGF-81, which promotes differentiation and proliferation of osteoblasts, on bone regeneration. Experimental bone defects that measured 3 mm in diameter were created on the mandibles of guinea pig by removal of bone with the use of trephine burs. In one side of mandibular body, the experimental groups, bone defects were grafted with Biogran(Orthovita Co., U.S.A.) and TGF 131(R&D System Co., U.S.A.). In the remaining side of the mandiblar body, the control groups, bone defects were grafted with only Biogran. Guinea pigs in the control and experimental groups were serially terminated by fours on the 3 days, the 1 week, the 2 weeks, the 3 weeks, and the 4 weeks after experiment, and both sides of the mandibular bodies were removed and fixed with 10% neutral formalin. They were decalcified and embedded in paraffin as using the usual method. The specimen sectioned and stained with hematoxylin and eosin. Also, they were radiographed with a soft X-ray apparatus. The Obtained results.=were as follows; 1. Hemorrhagic condition, observed in the granulation tissues, disappeared on the 1 week after experiment in both groups, and more prominent in the experimental group. The granulation tissues of the experimental group had larger number of cells than those of the control group. 2. Osteoblastic differentiation in the margin of grafted material and adjacent bone was observed on the 1 week after experiment in both groups. Also, bone formation was observed in immature form on the 1 week after experiment, and more prominent in the experimental group. 3. In the polarizing microscopic examination, bone matrix was very loose on the 1 week after experiment, but increase in density with time, and more prominent in the experimental group. 4. In the microradiographic examination, newly formed bone was observed in the experimental group on the 2 weeks after experiment, and this was observed earlier than in the control group. Newly formed bone was increased with time and defected area was markedly decreased on the 4 weeks after experiment.

        당근 육종에 있어서 계통선발 평점에 관련된 主要 形質들의 經路係數 分析

        당근 육종 과정 중 유망계통으로 선발되는 기준인 선발 평점이 주로 어떤 형질들에 의해 크게 영향받는가를 알고자 하였다. 5년에 걸쳐 봄 재배작형으로 시험한 자료를 가지고 상관 및 경로계수 분석을 통하여 선발평점에 미치는 여러 형질들의 직ㆍ간접효과를 조사한 바, 각 형질의 선발 평점에 대한 기여도는 년차에 따라 달랐다. 따라서 가장 큰 직접효과나 간접효과를 나타내는 형질은 매년 변하였다. 그러나 거의 항상 비교적 높은 직ㆍ간접 효과를 나타내는 형질은 찾을 수 있었는데 이는 근중과 고환성이었다. 이들 다음으로는 엽장과 수경등이었다. 반면 엽수, 지근, 근형, 근피특성 등은 직ㆍ간접효과가 가장 작았다. This study was conducted to clarify the direct and indirect effects of major morphological characters affecting selection score of carrot. The field experiment was carried out five times from 1991 to 1995. Root weight, number of leaf, leaf length, crown diameter, root diameter, root length, branch root, root cracking, bolting, uniformity, root-tail form, root shape, leaf weight, total weight, smoothness of root skin, hypertrophy of root and selection score were investigated. No character constantly showed the highest direct/indirect effect. Therefore the character showed the highest direct/indirect effect changed year to year. But it was possible to find out which characters were more important, or not. In frequency of high-ranked direct/indirect effect, two characters, root weight and root-tail form, were considered more important. The next characters were leaf length and crown diameter. The lowest were leaf number, branch root, smooth of root skin, and root shape.

      • S-Function Builder를 이용한 UWB 시스템의 성능해석

        The application of UWB not only complies with the requirements of remote sensors system(ECG), it also contributes to the effectiveness of the implementations through its unique qualities such as ultra low transmission power - an important factor when dealing with biomedical equipment. In this paper, the aim is to replace the wired ECG sensor with a wireless link and design wireless UWB communication system. The various pulse shapes are presented that satisfies the FCC spectral mask and FCC part 15 rule. It is shown that UWB can be a high rate transmission over short ranges using rake receiver, with the capability for reliably transmitting 100Mbps over distance at about 10 meters.
