모애착이 진로미결정에 미치는 영향 : 타인에 의한 타당화 욕구와 실패공포를 매개변인으로 = The Relationship between Mother’s Attachment and Career Indecision : The Mediation Effect of Validation Needs from Other and Fear for Failure

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The present study aimed to confirm the mediating effect validation needs from other and fear of failure on the relationship between mother`s attachment and career indecision. The data were collected from 328 male and female university students, and were analyzed through structural equation modeling. The results of the study are as follows. First, Higher scores on mother`s attachment were associated with lower levels of career indecision. Second, it was confirmed that when a mother's attachment influences career indecision, the validation needs from other is mediated. The higher mother`s attachment resulted in the lower desirability or relevance from others and vice versa. Third, it was confirmed that the career indecision has led to the fear of failure. This suggests that the lower level of the mother`s attachment will increase the fear of failure, which leads to a increase in the number of career indecision. Fourth, mother`s attachment had an effect on career indecision with the sequential double mediation of validation needs from other and fear of failure. Mother`s attachment has significant effect on career indecision, and it is understood that there is also a relationship between validation needs from other and fear of failure. This suggests that there are significant variables in the field of the career counseling for university students related to attachment problems. Finally, the implications and limitations of this study and the future direction of research were discussed.
