        오징어 게임 속 여성 기호학 분석

        Based on semiotics, this paper analyzes the female characters in Squid Game, which leads to the development trend of female characters in recent years. Squid games were compared to “The Hunger Games” in the U.S., “LIAR Game” in Japan, and “Animal World” in China. These four works have been influential in recent years. Through the comparison between works, the character of women in Asia is analyzed by combining semiotics. The lack and breakthrough of female characters in Asian dramas can be fully organized. There is also a direction for the future development of women’s roles in Asian film and television industry. The influence of Asian film and television industry in the global drama field is also expected to increase.

      • A Study on the Return Phenomenon of China Overseas Talent Studying in the Post-Epidemic Era

        China has been committed to attracting and retaining overseas Chinese students in order to promote innovation and development in the country. The Central Organization Department has developed a series of policies and initiatives aimed at supporting overseas Chinese students in their innovation and entrepreneurship in China. However, covid-19 has had an impact on the phenomenon of overseas Chinese students returning home, which has also raised concerns. Objective: This study aims to explore the policy initiatives of the Central Organization Department and the changing trends of the phenomenon of overseas Chinese students returning home, with a view to providing useful references for China in attracting and retaining overseas Chinese students. Methods: Through literature review and policy analysis, an in-depth analysis was conducted on the policy initiatives of the Central Organization Department and the phenomenon of overseas Chinese students returning to China. Results: The study found that the Central Organization Department set strategic goals in supporting key national innovation projects, focusing on supporting innovation and entrepreneurship of top overseas Chinese students in China. Meanwhile, the phenomenon of overseas Chinese students returning to China after COVID-19 shows a certain trend of change. Conclusion: Research findings indicate that the COVID-19 pandemic has spurred a wave of overseas Chinese students’ returning to China which increases the domestic supply of talent. Governments and educational institutions should provide more support to those graduates adapting to the domestic employment market. What’s more, overseas Chinese students should actively seek opportunities, enhance their competitiveness, adapt flexibly to market changes, and prepare for future career aspirations.

      • Analysis and Modeling for Stray Inductance of Commutation Circuit in Indirect Matrix Converter

        Due to the complex commutation method and process of IMC, the stray inductances of the commutation circuit cannot be negligible, which induces voltage spikes while the power device operates at high frequency. As a result, the voltage stress of power devices is increased, which even causes over voltage damage of the power device. In order to estimate the stray inductance and select appropriate devices, the equivalent circuit model of the commutation circuit is constructed, and the main factors and the effect mechanism are analyzed based on the analysis of the commutation process and circuit of the IMC. A 3D model of the IMC is established by ANSYS software based on the electromagnetic calculation to extract the stray inductance of commutation circuit. The experimental results show that the accurately stray inductance parameters of the commutation circuit can be obtained by using the model, which demonstrates the validity of the analysis and modeling.

        Enhanced Sulfate Reduction by Citrobacter sp. Coated with Fe3O4/SiO2 Magnetic Nanoparticles

        A sulfate-reducing Citrobacter strain was isolatedand coated with Fe3O4/SiO2 magnetic nanoparticles(MNPs) to enhance sulfate reduction. Biolog analysisshowed that it utilizes a broad range of electron donors. The findings also showed that this bacteria strain is afacultative anaerobe and can completely reduce 12 mM ofsulfate to sulfide in 7 days under anaerobic conditions. Moreover, sulfate reduction was enhanced by 79% underoptimized conditions. Different SiO2 wrap-ratios of theMNPs attached to the cell surface were studied to optimizethe sulfate reduction: the surface of cells coated with 300%silica wrap-ratio MNPs showed the highest stability andincreased desulfurization batch time, with a 450% increasein sulfate reduction in comparison with uncoated cellscultivated in anaerobic conditions.

        The cytoplasmic loops of AgrC contribute to the quorum-sensing activity of Staphylococcus aureus

        In Staphylococcus aureus, the accessory gene regulator (agr) quorum-sensing system is thought to play an important role in biofilm formation. The histidine kinase AgrC is one of the agr system components and activated by the self-generated auto-inducing peptide (AIP), which is released continuously into the extracellular environment during bacterial growth. The extracellular loops (Extra-loops) of AgrC are crucial for AIP binding. Here, we reported that the cytoplasmic loops (Cyto-loops) of AgrC are also involved in Agr activity. We identified S. aureus ST398 clinical isolates containing a naturally occurring single amino acid substitution (lysine to isoleucine) at position 73 of an AgrC Cyto-loop that exhibited significantly stronger biofilm formation and decreased Agr activity compared to the wild-type strain. A constructed strain containing the K73I point mutation in AgrC Cyto-loop continued to show a growth dependent induction of the agr system, although the growth dependent induction was delayed by about 6 h compared to the wild-type. In addition, a series of strains containing deletion mutants of the AgrC Cyto- and Extra-loops were constructed and revealed that the removal of the two Cyto-loops and Extra-loops 2 and 3 totally abolished the Agr activity and the growth-dependence on the agr system induction. Remarkably, the Extra-loop 1 deletion did not affect the Agr activity. In conclusion, the AgrC Cyto-loops play a crucial role in the S. aureus quorum-sensing activity.

        Free Vibration of the Cracked Non-uniform Beam with Cross Section Varying as Polynomial Functions

        This paper presents an approach for free vibration analysis of the cracked non-uniform beam with general boundary conditions, whose mass per unit length and bending moment of inertia varying as polynomial functions. Firstly, the general expression of mode shape function of the non-uniform beam with four undetermined coefficients is solved by a generalized power series method based on the Euler-Bernoulli beam theory. Then, the transfer matrix method is combined into the mode shape function of the non-uniform beam to improve the computational efficiency owe to the fewer segments divided by the cracks and joints at the different forms of variable cross-section. The massless rotational springs are adopted to simulate the cracks to derive the transfer relationship of the undetermined coefficients in the same segment. The four undetermined coefficients matrix is obtained by using equilibrium and continuity conditions between two adjacent segments, and then the characteristic equation of the entire cracked beam is formed. Finally, the correctness and reliability of the proposed method in this paper is verified by the methods presented by other published papers and the Finite Element Method (FEM). In addition, the crack parameters on the vibratory characteristics are investigated through the numerical examples.

        An electrochemical sensor based on graphene-chitosan-cyclodextrin modification for the detection of Staphylococcus aureus

        This study reports the synthesis of a novel graphene/chitosan/β-cyclodextrin composite material (GO/CS/β-CD) via a one-step chemical reduction method, which combines the advantages of graphene, chitosan, and β-cyclodextrin. The morphology and structure of the composite were characterized using various techniques, such as scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and Raman spectroscopy. Subsequently, sortase A (SA) was immobilized onto the GO/CS/β-CD for the detection of Staphylococcus aureus. The sensor exhibited a good linear relationship within the concentration range of 30–300 CFU/mL, with a detection limit of 12 CFU/mL. The GO/CS/β-CD composite material showed enhanced properties due to the synergistic effect of graphene, chitosan, and β-cyclodextrin. The immobilization of sortase A onto the composite material improved the sensitivity and selectivity of the sensor for the detection of S. aureus. This study presents a novel graphene/chitosan/β-cyclodextrin composite material with immobilized sortase A, demonstrating enhanced sensitivity and selectivity for the detection of Staphylococcus aureus, which has potential for the development of high-performance sensors in various fields.

        Apoptosis induction by alantolactone in breast cancer MDA-MB- 231 cells through reactive oxygen species-mediated mitochondrion-dependent pathway

        Alantolactone is a sesquiterpene lactone isolatedfrom Inula helenium L. Although alantolactone possessesanti-inflammation and apoptosis-induction activities, theunderlying mechanism of anti-cancer effect on humanbreast cancer cells remains largely unknown. In this study,we explored the possibility of alantolactone as an apoptosis-inducing cytotoxic agent using MDA-MB-231 cells asin vitro model. Alantolactone significantly induced itsapoptosis, demonstrated by cell cycle analysis, annexinV-APC/7-AAD double staining and dUTP nick end labeling. Additionally, alantolactone triggered the mitochondrial-mediated caspase cascade apoptotic pathway, whichwas confirmed by increased Bax/Bcl-2 ratio, loss of MMP,release of cytc from mitochondria to cytoplasm, activationof caspase 9/3, and subsequent cleavage of PARP. Z-VADFMKpartially prevented apoptosis induced by alantolactone. Alantolactone provoked the production of ROS, whileNAC (a scavenger of ROS) reversed alantolactone-mediateddepolarization of MMP and apoptosis. Alantolactonemodulated the activities of MAPKs. As expected, cotreatmentwith SB203580, SP600125 or U0126 could reducedthe apoptotic rate. Furthermore, alantolactone decreasedthe protein expressions of p-NF-kB p65 and p-STAT3,increased p-c-Jun level in a dose-dependent manner. Thesefindings suggested that alantolactone possessed anticanceractivity via ROS-mediated mitochondrial dysfunctioninvolving MAPK pathway, and had an effect on the transcriptionfactors of NF-kB, AP-1 and STAT3.
