To effectively respond to the expected changes in maritime container transport market, it has been proposed to design a novel container transport system, known as Mobile Harbor. Mobile Harbor, in a narrow sense, is a system that can go out to a large container ship anchoring in the open sea, load and unload containers between the container ship and the Mobile Harbor, and transport them to their destinations. In a broader scope, Mobile Harbor system is a new type of container port where multiple Mobile Harbor units serve container ships, linking them to a land-based port or the cargo"s final destination. From this perspective, many new types of planning and scheduling problems arise as Mobile Harbor presents unique issues that are not part of the existing operating system for a conventional port. In this paper, we present three, interconnected planning problems and their formulation for the Mobile Harbor system operation, and report solution schemes studied up to date.
소형 무인기 탐지를 위한 패시브 레이더망 최적 배치 연구

Current low-altitude radar system often fails to detect small unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) because of their small radar cross section (RCS) compared with larger targets. As a potential alternative, a passive bistatic radar system has been considered. We study an optimal deployment problem for the passive bistatic radar system. We model this problem as a covering problem, and develop an integer programming model. The objective of the model is to maximize coverage of a passive bistatic radar system. Our model takes into account factors specific to a bistatic radar system, including bistatic RCS and transmitter-receiver pair coverage. Considering bistatic RCS instead of constant RCS is important because the slight difference of RCS value for small UAVs could significantly influence the detection probability. The paired radar coverage is defined by using the concept of gradual coverage and cooperative coverage to represent a realistic environment.
전투 시뮬레이션에서 정보효과 분석을 위한 정보처리 개념 모델링

Network-Centric Warfare is a forthcoming military revolution paradigm for maximizing combat effectiveness in terms of information superiority. However, quantitative assessment of information effect is a challenging issue. Among the many approaches, war-game is a well known method to evaluate combat effectiveness. However, previous researches and current models have a limited function or logic to simulate information process, which is core concept of NCW. So this research suggests a concept of simulation modeling method to describe the information process as defining of combat information process based on probability decision model. In addition, we suggest a simple scenario to represent proposed concept modelling method. This results can be used in designing war-game analysis model for enhanced information effectiveness.

본 논문에서는 병렬기계 일정계획방법을 통해 대기동지원임무 일정계획을 위한 혼합정수계획 모형을 제시하고, 공병에 할당된 임무들의 일정을 최적으로 계획하기 위한 연구를 수행한다. 대기동지원임무란 공병중대의 전투소대 단위로 수행되며 낙석, 교량폭파 등을 이용해 적의 기동을 저지·지연시키는 작전이다. 또한, 전투소대별 임무 완료시간 불균형의 최소화를 통한 전체 대기동지원임무 완료시간 단축을 위해 소대 간 협업의 개념을 제시한다. 협업을 고려한 일정계획 시, 협업을 고려하지 않고 각 소대에 임무를 할당하는 경우에 비해 전체 임무 완료시간이 단축되는 것을 실험을 통해 확인한다. 또한 협업 시 능력을 최대로 발휘하지 못 하고 일정 비율로 저하되는 경우에도 협업이 임무 완료시간 단축에 여전히 효과적임을 확인한다. 마지막으로 병렬기계 일정 계획 문제가 NP-hard 문제에 속하므로, 더 큰 규모 문제의 최적에 가까운 해를 빠른 계산시간 내에 얻기 위해 유전 알고리즘을 이용한 문제 해결 방법을 제시한다.
