Electric motor efficient improvement from home appliance field is important to the effect reducing the energy consumption. But the electric motor design/analysis technology is still insufficient. Specially the electric motor design/analysis technology of satisfying characteristic of both the induction motor and the synchronous motor such as Line start permanent motor. Therefore the electric motor design/analysis technology is urgently demanded reliability. This paper proposes the sing1e-phase line-start permanent magnet motor to develop the motor it with be able to alternate the sing-phase induction motor it is a refrigerator compressor motor. The sing-phase induction motor is analyzed in the steady state. And we have a certification test to compare our single-phase line-start permanent magnet motor with the sing-phase induction motor. In order to improve the performance, the stator of the single-phase line-start permanent magnet motor is same as the stator of the sing-phase induction motor and changes the rotor form and has the permanent magnet. It used the Finite Element Method(FEM) which is widely used with electronic-magnetic field numerical analysis method.

A hybrid linear polymer-dendrimer block copolymer, poly(ethylene glycol)-block-poly(L-lysine) dendrimer, was synthesized and introduced to form polyionic complexes with DNA. The copolymer formed core-shell type nanoparticles with plasmid DNA. From dynamic light scattering experiments, the mean diameter of the polyplexes was observed to be 154.4 nm. The complex showed much increased water solubility compared to poly(L-lysine). The plasmid DNA in polyplexes was efficiently protected from the enzymatic digestion of DNase I. The cytotoxicity and transfection efficiency for 293 cells was measured in comparison with poly(Llysine).

Purpose The aim of this study was to characterize the patterns of fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) uptake on F-18 FDG positron emission tomography/computed tomography (FDG PET/CT) at the anastomotic site of gastroduodenostomy after distal subtotal gastrectomy in patients with gastric cancer. Methods From May 2007 to May 2010, two or more follow-up measurements using FDG PET/CT scans were done for 19 patients (11 men, 8 women; mean age, $62.0{\pm}10.3$ years) who underwent distal subtotal gastrectomy with gastroduodenostomy between February 2006 and March 2008 for detecting gastric cancer recurrence at our medical center. The FDG PET/CT images were retrospectively reviewed. Patients with local recurrence, regional nodal metastasis or distant metastasis on follow-up studies were excluded. CT and endoscopy were done within 1 month before or after the FDG PET/CT scan. Eight patients had two follow-ups of FDG PET/CT, and 11 patients had three follow-ups. The mean interval between surgery and the first follow-up FDG PET/CT was $12.9{\pm}0.8$ months (n=19); between the first and second it was $12.3{\pm}1.0$ months (n=19); between the second and third it was $11.6{\pm}0.7$ months (n=11). The F-18 FDG uptakes at the anastomotic site and fundus in the remnant stomach were measured by maximum standardized uptake value (SUVmax) using a region of interest technique. Results The SUVmax at the anastomotic site was significantly higher than that of the fundus on all series of first, second and third follow-up studies ($3.3{\pm}1.1$ vs. $2.1{\pm}0.7$, p<0.001: $3.1{\pm}0.9$ vs. $2.2{\pm}0.7$, p=0.001: $3.0{\pm}0.6$ vs. $2.1{\pm}0.7$, p=0.006, respectively). The SUVmax for the anastomotic site and fundus, and SUVmax ratio for the anastomotic site over the fundus were not significantly different throughout the series. Conclusion The SUVmax at the anastomotic site is significantly higher than that of the fundus and does not decrease significantly over time. Therefore, the local recurrence of gastric cancer after surgery could not be definitely differentiated from physiologic uptake or postoperative inflammatory change.

<P><B>Background</B></P><P>Recent studies have shown the importance of postprandial glucose (PPG) in the development of diabetes complications. This study was conducted in order to survey the perceptions of clinicians and diabetic patients with respect to PPG management and the current status of diabetes education.</P><P><B>Methods</B></P><P>This was a cross-sectional study involving face-to-face interviews and an open questionnaire survey conducted in Korea. A total of 300 patients and 130 clinicians completed questionnaires, which included current education status, self monitoring of blood glucose (SMBG), criteria of diagnosis and management, and perceptions relating to PPG management.</P><P><B>Results</B></P><P>While there was a significantly higher perceived need for diabetes education, the sufficiency of the current education was considered to be severely lacking. Fasting plasma glucose (FPG), PPG, and glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) were all important considerations for clinicians when making a diagnosis of diabetes, although PPG was considered less important than FPG or HbA1c in the treatment of diabetes. Most clinicians and patients were aware of the importance of PPG, but actual education on the importance of PPG was not actively being delivered.</P><P><B>Conclusion</B></P><P>Our study showed that the current status of diabetes education is insufficient to meet the needs of the Korean population. A considerable gap was found to exist between awareness and what was actually taught in the current education program in regard to the importance of PPG. These results suggest that clinicians need to be more active in patient education, especially in regard to the importance of PPG.</P>
Case Reports : A Case of McCune-Albright Syndrome with Associated Multiple Endocrinopathies
Sang Hun Sung,Hyun Dae Yoon,Ho Sang Shon,Hong Tae Kim,Woo Young Choi,Chang Jin Seo,Joo Hyoung Lee 대한내과학회 2007 The Korean Journal of Internal Medicine Vol.22 No.1
McCune-Albright syndrome (MAS) is a rare disorder that develops from an activating mutation in the Gs gene. It is characterized by an association with Polyostotic fibrous dysplasia, and precocious puberty, Caf-au-lait pigmentation, and other endocrinopathies that result from the hyperactivity of a variety of endocrine glands. Recently we encountered a patient with MAS with fibrous dysplasia, skin pigmentation, acromegaly, hyperprolactinemia and a thyroid nodule. A 23-year-old male presented for an evaluation of a change in his facial structures. Fibrous dysplasia was diagnosed by a bone biopsy and radiographic studies. The GH level increased paradoxically after an oral glucose load. The plasma prolactin, IGF-1 and alkaline phosphatase were high. Thyroid ultrasonography revealed multiple nodules. The brain MRI demonstrated a mass in the left pituitary gland. Genetic analysis identified a change from Arg (CGT) at codon 201 to Cys (TGT).

<P>The influence of ultrasonication pretreatment on fermentative bioenergy [ethanol/hydrogen (H2)] production from a newly isolated microalgae biomass (<I>Scenedesmus obliquus</I> YSW15) was investigated. <I>S. obliquus</I> YSW15 biomass was sonicated for 0 min (control), 5 min (short-term treatment), 15 and 60 min (long-term treatment), which caused different states of cell lysis for microbial fermentation. Long-term sonication significantly damaged the microalgal cell integrity, which subsequently enhanced the bioenergy production. The accumulative bioenergy (ethanol/hydrogen) production after long-term sonication was almost 7 times higher than that after short-term treatment or the control. The optimal ratio of microalgal biomass to anaerobic inoculum for higher bioenergy production was 1 : 1. Microscopic analyses with an energy-filtering transmission electron microscope (EF-TEM) and an atomic force microscope (AFM) collectively indicated that cells were significantly damaged during sonication and that the carbohydrates diffused out of the microalgae interiors and accumulated on the microalgae surfaces and/or within the periplasm, which led to enhanced bioaccessibility and bioavailability of the biomass. These results demonstrate that ultrasonication is an effective pretreatment method for enhancing the fermentative bioenergy production from microalgal biomass.</P> <P>Graphic Abstract</P><P>Disintegration of algae cell structures during sonication released more algal cell wall carbohydrates to aqueous media, thereby exposing a larger surface area to fermentative microorganisms. <IMG SRC='http://pubs.rsc.org/services/images/RSCpubs.ePlatform.Service.FreeContent.ImageService.svc/ImageService/image/GA?id=c1ee01068a'> </P>
Fuzzy Linear Regression Model Using the Least Hausdorf-distance Square Method
Choi, Sang-Sun,Hong, Dug-Hun,Kim, Dal-Ho The Korean Statistical Society 2000 Communications for statistical applications and me Vol.7 No.3
In this paper, we review some class of t-norms on which fuzzy arithmetic operations preserve the shapes of fuzzy numbers and the Hausdorff-distance between fuzzy numbers as the measure of distance between fuzzy numbers. And we suggest the least Hausdorff-distance square method for fuzzy linear regression model using shape preserving fuzzy arithmetic operations.
