        Koreans have a lot of treasures they have enjoyed singing and dancing from long time ago at present, and they sometimes enjoy them now. These singing-custome, involvng dancing, have been well kept from the ancient contries such as the period of three States, Kolye, and Chosun. Therefore, we happily have a lot of songs or words written by our ancesters. But we need to focus about Hyanga made by Shills period about 1200 or over years ago. But unhappily, the study of music about it are very weak as well as approaching to. Why? It's very sorry that the materials about Hyanga have not been left in the melodies of it. We don't know why we can't find them, and misting or burnt? Even we have few records, we can find some ways to study the meloddy of it. We can imagine that the people of Shilla had sung the Hyanga to place various words on the same melody rather than singing with no rules. We understand the musical instruments such as Gayago, Bipa, Geumungo and so on, were popular by them. So we can guess the melody were deep interested in the scales of them. Besides, we can find the vestages of the Hyanga in the songs of Kolye period even missing the melody of it. For example, "Samogok", one of the songs of Kolye period, is well known "Mokjuga", one of Hyan-gas of Shilla period. And Jungsuh's "Jeunggwajung", when king. Uijong of Kolye dynasty, composes of 10 phrases the same as "Changgipalanga" of that of Shilla. Futhermore, "Silagiga" of that of Japan influenced by that of Shilla provides us good materials. Therefore we have possibility to revive it by such indirect ways or means.

      • 1945년 이후 음열 기법을 이용한 작곡가들에 관한 연구

        20세기의 음악은 2차대전을 전후로 급변하는 세계 정세, 사회 질서의 혼미와 더불어 여러 실험 과정을 보여왔다. 작곡가들은 새로운 음악을 찾기 위하여 악기를 개발하고 기법을 다양화 하였다. 그것은 무조 음악, 12음 음계의 합성, 유연성 음악, 전자 음악 등 여러 음악 형태로 나타나게 된다. 1945년을 이후로 하여 Pierre Boulez, 윤이상, 달라피콜라, 죠지펄, 밀튼 배빗 등에 의해 시작되는 음악에서의 우연의 요소는 그 이전의 전음렬주의나 진위 음악파 등의 작품경향을 20세기 후반을 향한 새로운 기법으로 바꿔주고 있다. 본 논문에서는 1945년 이후 음렬 기법을 사용한 주요 작곡가의 간략한 생애와 주요 작품을 분석해 보았다. Boulez는 Weberu풍의 점묘주의적 음렬 기법을 추구하면서 이것이 더욱 진보되어 음고, 리듬, 표현 기법 등의 모든 요소를 set화시켜 잘 통제되고 제한된 한계 내에서 자유로운 선택이라는 의미를 부여하고 있다. Milton Babbitt는 12음 기법에 있어서 잠재적인 가능성을 더욱 활용하는 새롭고 독창적인 방법을 발전시켜 기본 음렬에서 첫 번째 hexachord에 유용한 4개의 trichord를 사용하는 4개 trichord로 파생되는 음질을 만들어낸다. Dallapiccola는 비엔나의 12음 아파들과 다양한 특질들을 공유한다. 그러나 중음정, 7도, 9도와 더 넓은 음정들에 있어서 그의 선율은 훨씬 더 전통적인 음정을 사용함으로써 독자성을 뛴다. 더욱이 달라피콜라는 반음계를 순수한 전타음과 더불어 통합하는 결과를 거둔다. 한국이 낳은 세계적인 작곡가 윤이상은 동아시아적 음향관과 미학을 유럽의 Avant garde적 음악 언어로 표현하여 "서구 음악의 수단을 통한 한국적 음악의 표현", "한국 음악의 연주 기법과 서양 악기의 결함", "서양 현대 음악 기법을 통한 동아시아적 이미지의 표현"등으로 나타냈다. "윤이상의 선율"은 긴 음가를 나타내는 지속음들로 작품의 뼈대를 구성하는 진정한 의미의 음인 바로 "중심음"을 만들어 낸 것이다. In 20C's music, there have been varions experimental attempts since around World War II. Composers have developed instruments and diversified techniques to create new music. They emerged in the form of atonal music, synthesis of 12-tone scale, random composition music, electronic music etc. Factor of accident in music has changed work trend of Integral Serialism or Avant-garde music to new ways toward the close of 20th century, which was developed by Pierre Boulez, Yoon Yi-Sang, Dallapiccola, George Perle, Milton Babbitt etc. Important composers' life were mentioned briefly, who have used serialism technique sine 1945, and their chief works were analyzed in this thesis. Boulez pursued serialism technique of Webern-style pointillism, and by improving it much more, made sets of all the elements such as pitch, rhythm, and expression technique. Thus he created the meaning of "choosing freely within the limits well controlled and restricted". Milton Babbitt improved the new and unique technique in which potentiality was used still more. Dallapiccola shared many features with Viennese. However, in augmented, 7th, 9th and broader intervals, his melody is unique by using much more traditional interval. Yoon Yi-Sang, the World-wide Korean composer, expressed his East-Asian view of sound and esthetics with European avant-garde musical language: "expression of Korean music by neans of western music", "combination of Korean music performing technique with western instruments", "expression of East-Asian image through modern Western music technique". Yoon Yi-Sang's melody created the true sound "hauptton"(meaning "head tone" in Germany', which organized frame of work with the pedal point of long phonetic value.

      • Stroke에서 감압적 개두술, 정위적 조직 생검과 병리적 소견 고찰 : 중증 제뇌탈출을 동반한 초급성 뇌경색과 신경교종 내 출혈 감별 To differentiate the Herniated hyperacute Cerebral Infarction from the Glioma bleeding

        The authors in this manuscript aimed to provide a practical importance of the differential diagnosis of intracranial brain tumor with emphasis on non-neoplastic abnormalities such as cytotoxic edema of the penumbra zone in strokes. The well known SOLs are cerebral ischemic, inflammatory and dysplastic lesions, which intraaxially imitate glioma and other neurogenic tumors. Brain tumor is the one of common intracranial space-occupying lesions (SOLs) on the diagnostic images. However, many non-neoplastic lesions may be indistinguishable from tumors. Especially, early mortality used to be caused by space-occupying hyperacute ischemic stroke, brain edema and herniations. For the retrospective analysis, the authors reviewed the patient charts, the emergency brain Computerized Tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), clinical stroke history. From Jan. 2003 to Dec. 2003, we managed total 61 acute strokes in ICU. Even though we operated six decompressive craniotomies, nine stereotactic craniotomies including two procedures of brain biopsy and three extraventricular drainage procedures, three patients (4.91%) were finally expired out from the induced herniation and medullary failure by those aggressive strokes. 43 patients (70.5%) were recovered good from stroke attack. 15 patients (24.6%) were improved with residual neurologic deficits. In conclusion, aside from growing efforts of the radiologist to make the early diagnostic impression, the authors suggest that urgent neurosurgical explorations with the pathologic diagnostic decision should be requested to decrease the fatality.

        Carcinoid tumors have been reported in a wide range of organs but most commonly involve the lungs, bronchi and gastrointestinal tract. Within the gastrointestinal tract, appendix is the most common location for carcinoid, followed by the distal small intestine, the rectum, and the stomach. Among these, primary involvement of the ampulla of Vater is extremely rare. We report a case of carcinoid tumor of ampulla of Vater. A 62-year-old man presented with epigastric soreness. Gastroduodenal endoscopy showed hyperemic bulging mass on ampulla of Vater and diagnosed as carcinoid tumor by histologic finding, with immunohistochemical study. In ^(111)In-octreoscan, tumor had regional lymph node metastasis, but no evidence of distant metastasis. Pancreatoduodenectomy with lymph node dissection was performed.

        We investigated the effect of aqueous extract of Ammomum xanthioides(AXAE) on immediate hypersensitivity. AXAE inhibited systemic anaphylaxis induced by compound 48/80 in mice. AXAE inhibited serum histamine levels induced by compound 48/80 in mice. Moreover, AXAE dose-dependently inhibited histamine release in peritoneal mast cells activated by compound 48/80. These results indicate that the AXAE may be benificial in the regulation of immediate type allergic reaction.

        Implementation of High Magnetization System for Performance Enhancement of Magnetic Flux Leakage Tool

        This paper discusses the effectiveness of high magnetization saturation in ILI (In-Line Inspection) using an MFL (Magnetic Flux Leakage) tool, and introduces a practical method for improving the magnetization level together with the piggability. Thin steel plates, replacing the conventional wire brushes were used as conductors to transfer the magnetic flux to the pipe wall. The newly designed MFL tool was compared with the conventional version by means of FEM (Finite Element Method) analysis and full-scale experiments. In the results, the newly developed magnetization system obtained a stronger MFL signal amplitude, specially 2.7 times stronger, than that obtained by the conventional magnetization system for the same defect dimensions.

        Feasibility Study on the Utilization of EMAT Technology for In-line Inspection of Gas Pipeline

        If gas is leaking out of gas pipelines, it could cause a huge explosion. Accordingly, it is important to ensure the integrity of gas pipelines. Traditionally, over the years, gas-operating companies have used the ILI system, which is based on axial magnetic flux leakage (MFL), to inspect the gas pipelines. Relatively, there is a low probability of detection (POD) for the axial defects with the axial MFL-based ILI. To prevent the buried pipeline from corrosion, it requires a protective coating. In addition to the potential damage to the coating by environmental factors and external forces, there could be defects on the damaged coating area. Thus, it is essential that nondestructive evaluation methods for detecting axial defects (axial cracks, axial groove) and damaged coating be developed. In this study, an electromagnetic acoustic transducer (EMAT) sensor was designed and fabricated for detecting axial defects and coating disbondment. In order to validate the performances of the developed EMAT sensor, experiments were performed with specimens from axial cracks, axial grooves, and coating disbondment. The experimental results showed that the developed EMAT sensor could detect not only the axial cracks (minimum 5% depth of wall thickness) and axial grooves (minimum 10% depth of wall thickness), but also the coating disbondment.

      • Performance Analysis of PSK Signal dependent on Propagation Delay in Rician Fading Channel

        본 논문에서는 강한 직접파 성분과 반사파 성분이 존재하는 2채널 환경에 라이시안 페이딩이 결합된 형태의 이동통신 모델을 제시하였으며 신호의 성능 및 전파 지연 영향을 분석하였다. 이때 직접파 성분을 제1경로, 반사파 성분은 제2경로로 모델링하였으며 라이시안 페이딩 파라메타, 전파 지연, 상대 전력을 파라메타로 하여 신호의 잔파지연 양향 및 시스템의 성능을 평가하였다. 연구 결과, 단일경로보다 2경로 모델의 경우가 신호의 성능이 심하게 열화되며 2경로 라이시안 모델은 전파 환경을 해석하는데 매우 유용한 모델임을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 2경로 채널 모델에서 전파 지연은 상대 전력의 영향보다 오율 성능에 큰 변화를 미치는 요인이 됨을 확인 할 수 있었다.

      • 자기누설탐상법을 이용한 가스 배관 결함 추정에 관한 연구

        In general, In-Line Inspection(ILI) tool based on Magnetic Flux Leakage(MFL) technique is widely used to inspect buried gas pipeline. After inspection, the estimation and evaluation of defects are performed using the acquired MFL signal in order to repair the pipeline with defects. It is very important to analyze and estimate the MFL signal from defects as accurately as possible, because a lot of cost of repair is needed to repair the pipeline. But it is difficult to analyze MFL signal, because MFL signal has the nonlinear characteristics. Therefore, in this study, the estimation way to characterize a defect is described. In order to obtain the MFL signal from defect, MFL inspection runs were executed at Kogas Pipeline Simulation Facility(KPSF) including various artificial defects. And, 3 axis MFL signals were acquired from various defects. The length estimation of defect was performed using radial MFL signal, the width estimation was performed using wavelet transform method, and the depth estimation of defect was performed using axial MFL signal. When comparing measured size of defect with estimated size of one, the results show that the length estimation error is ±6.3mm, the width estimation error is ± 18.63mm, and the depth estimation error is ±8.3% thickness of pipewall at 80% confidence interval.
