        E-rosette法에 의한 T cell의 百分率과 螢光抗體法, 感作牛赤血球擔體法, 酵素抗體法 및 마우스赤血球 rosette法에 의한 B cell 의 百分率을 檢査하여 다음과 같이 요약할 수 있었다. 정상성인군의 active T cell은 26±8.2%이었고 total T cell은 72±4.9%이었다. B cell 는 螢光抗體法으로 22±5.4%, 感作牛赤血球擔體法으로 15.8±4.9%, 酵素抗體法으로 15±5.2% 그리고 mouse RBC-rosette法으로 17.2±4.1%이었다. 惡性腫瘍에 있어서 active T cell은 27.±10.4%이었고 total T cell 은 59±11.2%로서 정상인군에 비하여 유의한 감소를 보였다. 良性疾患에 있어서 T cell 은 정상인군에 비하여 유의한 차이를 볼 수 없었다. T cell percent by E-rosette and B cell by fluorescent antibody, senitized ox RBC rosette, enzyme antibody and mouse RBC rosette tests were performed. In healthy adult group the active T cell was 26±8.2% and total T cell was 72±4.9%, B cell by fluorescent antibody was 22.±5.40%, by ox RBC rosette 15.8±4.9%, by enzyme antibody 15±5.2% and by RBC-rosette 17.2±4.1%. In malignant tumor the active T cell was 27±10.4% and total T cell was 59±11.2%. In benign diseases T cell count showed no significant difference from normal adult group.

        The purpose of this study is to grasp the change of consciousness of young people in order to seek new approach of policy for aged era. 1,200 students attending collages and universities in three small or medium sized cities were inquired for 2 months, from October 1 to November 30, 1996. The result is as follows. 1. The characteristic of the respondents of this survey is that they include 72.1% of women, 40.4% of people aged between 20 to 21, and 49.1% of people who do not have any religion. Those who are from big cities and those who are form farming villages or fishing village occupy equally 40.2%, those who reside in that cities for a long period 49.0%, and those who live with their family 60.9%. 2. The family feature of the subject is that 31.5% of them are those whose father is the age of 55 and more than 55, 10% of them are those whose mothers age is so, 33.1% of them have 5 family members, 29.5% of them have the family income of 1,000,000 to 1,490,000 won, 83.9% of them are from middle class, 47.7% of them are the people whose grand parents have passed away, 70.4% of them live apart from their grand parents, and 60.9% of them are second child. 3. 64.0% of males, 70% of respondents who are aged over 24, 58.1% of respondents who are from rural communities, 62.4% of respondents who live in rural area, and 58.3% of respondents who live alone, prefer to live with grand parents, marked higher rate than other groups. The groups whose father and mother are the age of more than 55 marked higher rate of 55.9% and 58% each than any other groups(p<0.05). The groups whose family member is less than three, whose grand parents both have passed away in middle class, who live with their grand parents, and who are second children, give more positive answers than any other groups. 4. Those who are older, who are buddhists, who are from rural area or live in rural area, whose family is small, whose family income is small, who are from lower class and whose grand parents are still alive, shows preference to support their parents after marriage. 5. Females(89.4%), those who are from small or medium sized cities(89%), who live with their family(85.6%), whose father is the age of 55 and more than 55, whose mother is the age of 54 and less than 54, whose family member is 6, who are from middle class, whose grandparents are still alive and who are the eldest child in their family, give more response that they prefer to live apart from their children in their old age than any other groups. 6. What elderly people need most right now is past time(42.3%), and the respondents whose age is 20 to 21, who are buddhists, who are from middle sized cities and live alone, whose parents are the age of more than 55, who have small family income, who live with their grand parents and who are second children show higher level than any other groups. 7. 76.8% of respondents answer that they do not need their parent's fortune, marked still higher rate than the opposite answer. Those who are older, who are buddhists, who are from big cities, who reside in rural area, who live alone and have smaller family, who are in bad family economic conditions and who live with grand parents present higher rate of positive response. 8. 59.3% of respondents reply that they think about death from time to time, and those who are female, who are in the age of 20 to 21, who are christian, who live with their family, whose siblings or other family members offer their education expenses show higher rate than any other groups. 9. 92.3% of respondents answer that the budget for welfare facility for elderly people is very small. The younger the respondents are and the worse economic condition they have among those who live in big cities, the more answered that. 10. 50% of respondents think social security should provide for their old age, and 42.8% of them believe they themselves provide against it. The respondence that social security ought provide for it appeared more among those whose age are over 24, who are female, who reside in rural area, who are christian, who are in bad economic condition, and who ever used medical institutions in recent one month, marked higher level than other groups. 11. The adequate time of retirement is 59.97±5.60 for public officers, the highest and 59.28±6.35 for teachers, the next. 12. 35.2% of respondents reply that the adequate budget for the old age after their retirement at the age of 60 is 220 million won, showed the highest level of respondence. 13. The factors which affect on the old people in the charged welfare facilities are sex(p<0.01), the type of housing(p<0.05) and whole family income(p<0.05). 14. The factors which affect on remarriage are sex(p<0.05) and religion(p<0.05). For varying old population and expanded welfare service for them, government and relevant authority should give more attention to secure the budget, establish effective plans to expand various program and the facilities for elderly people in order that elderly people spend the rest of life time more happily and more fruitfully. To do that, each college and university should open Health courses, and educate and inform about health and welfare.

      • 임상 가검물에서 분리된 균(대장균과 황색 포도균)의 약제 내성

        1981년 1월에서 12월말까지 임상 제료에서 분리한 Escherichia coli (E. coli)와 Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) 중에서 무작위로 각 50주 씩 선택하여 원판 확산법과 평판 희섭법으로 그 내성주를 조사하여 다음과 같은 성적을 얻었다. 전체적으로 볼 때에 Teteracyclin (TET), Chloramphenicol (CM) 및 Ampicillin (AMP)에 대한 내성주가 가장 많았고, Amikacin (AMK)에 대한 내성주는 가장 적어다. 이것을 균종별로 보면 E. coli에 있어서는 TET, AMP 및 CM는 원판 확산법으로서 74∼76%, 평판 희석법으로서는 78∼94%가 내성주임을 나타내었고, 또 Cephalothin(CEP)은 원판 확산법에서는 8%가 내성주로 나타났으나, 평판 의석법에서는 52%가 내성주로 나타났다. S. aureus에 있어서는 TET는 원판 확산법으로 82%, 평판 희석법으로서는 78%가 내성주로 나왔고 Penicillin (P)은 원판 확산법에서는 56% 평판 희석법으로는 22%의 내성주가 나왔으며, GM과 CM은 원판확산법에서는 18∼44%, 평판 희석법에서는 56∼58%가 내성주로 나왔다. Each 50 strains of Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus were selected at random out of the stock cultures which were isolated from the clinical materials in the bacteriological laboratory of the department of clinical pathology. Kyungpook National University Hospital from the first of January to the end of December in 1982, and their resistance against eight antibiotics were as follows; Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus had the most resistant pattern against tetracyclin, chloramphenicol, and ampicillin, while they had the most sensitive pattern against amikacin in general. Escherichia coli revealed resistant pattern to tetracyclin, ampicillin, and chloramphenicol 74-76% by the disk diffusion method and 78-94% by the plate dilution method, and revealed resistant pattern to cephalothin 8% by the disk diffusion and 52% by the plate dilution. Staphylococcs aureus disclosed resistant pattern to tetracyclin 82% by the disk diffusion and 78% by the plate dilution, and disclosed resistant pattern to penicillin 56% by the disk diffusion and 22% by the plate dilution, and to gentamicin and-chloramphenicol 18-44% by the disk diffusion and 56-58% by the plate dilution.

        A Melon Fruit Grading Machine Using a Miniature VIS/NIR Spectrometer: 1. Calibration Models for the Prediction of Soluble Solids Content and Firmness

        Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the potential of interactance mode of NIR spectroscopy technology for the estimation of soluble solids content (SSC) and firmness of muskmelons. Methods: Melon samples were taken from local greenhouses in three different harvesting seasons (experiments 1, 2, and 3). The fruit attributes were measured at the 6 points on an equator of each sample where the spectral data were collected. The prediction models were developed using the original spectral data and the spectral data sets preprocessed by 20 methods. The performance of the models was compared. Results: In the prediction of SSC, the highest coefficient of determination ($R_{cv}{^2}$) values of the cross-validation was 0.755 (standard error of prediction, SEP=$0.89^{\circ}Brix$) with the preprocessing of normalization with range in experiment 1. The highest coefficient of determination in the robustness tests, $R_{rt}{^2}$=0.650 (SEP=$1.03^{\circ}Brix$), was found when the best model of experiment 3 was evaluated with the data set of experiment 2. The best $R_{cv}{^2}$ for the prediction of firmness was 0.715 (SEP=3.63 N) when no preprocessing was applied in experiment 1. The highest $R_{rt}{^2}$ was 0.404 (SEP=5.30 N) when the best model of experiment 3 was applied to the data set of experiment 1. Conclusions: From the test results, it can be concluded that the interactance mode of VIS/NIR spectroscopy technology has a great potential to measure SSC and firmness of thick-skinned muskmelons.

        Purpose: In near infrared spectroscopy, interactance configuration of a light source and a spectrometer probe can provide more information regarding fruit internal attributes, compared to reflectance and transmittance configuration. However, there is no through study on the parameters of interactance measurement setup. The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of the parameters on the estimation of soluble solids content (SSC) and firmness of muskmelons. Methods: Melon samples were taken from greenhouses at three different harvesting seasons. The prediction models were developed at three distances of 2, 5, and 8 cm between the light source and the spectrometer probe, three measurement points of 2, 3, and 6 evenly distributed on each sample, and different number of fruit samples for calibration models. The performance of the models was compared. Results: In the test at the three distances, the best results were found at a 5 cm distance. The coefficient of determination ($R_{cv}{^2}$) values of the cross-validation were 0.717 (standard error of prediction, SEP=$1.16^{\circ}Brix$) and 0.504 (SEP=4.31 N) for the estimation of SSC and firmness, respectively. The minimum measurement point required to fully represent the spectral characteristics of each fruit sample was 3. The highest $R_{cv}{^2}$ values were 0.736 (SEP=$0.87^{\circ}Brix$) and 0.644 (SEP=4.16 N) for the estimation of SSC and firmness, respectively. The performance of the models began to be saturated when 60 fruit samples were used for developing calibration models. The highest $R_{cv}{^2}$ of 0.713 (SEP=$0.88^{\circ}Brix$) and 0.750 (SEP=3.30 N) for the estimation of SSC and firmness, respectively, were achieved. Conclusions: The performance of the prediction models was quite different according to the condition of interactance measurement setup. In designing a fruit grading machine with interactance configuration, the parameters for interactance measurement setup should be chosen carefully.

      • Comparison of Nutrient Deficient Stress Diagnoses of Cucumber Plant Using Non-Destructive Physiological Instruments

        This paper represents methods to diagnose nutrient deficient stresses of cucumber plants using several physiological instruments. The stresses could be detected by measuring and analyzing the difference of chlorophyll content, photochemical efficiency (Fv/Fm), temperature difference (DT) and light absorbance at wavelengths of 480㎚, 560㎚ and 710㎚ between deficient and control plants. From the all over experiments, the stresses could be first diagnosed in the 3rd to 5th day in general after treatment and the overall diagnosis rate was estimated at more than 50% up to 100%.

        Melon Surface Color and Texture Analysis for Estimation of Soluble Solids Content and Firmness

        Purpose: The net rind pattern and color of melon surface are important for a high market value of melon fruits. The development of the net and color are closely related to the changes in shape, size, and maturing. Therefore, the net and color characteristics can be used indicators for assessment of melon quality. The goal of this study was to investigate the possibility of estimating melon soluble solids content (SSC) and firmness by analyzing the net and color characteristics of fruit surface. Methods: The true color images of melon surface obtained at fruit equator were analyzed with 18 color features and 9 texture features. The partial least squares (PLS) method was used to estimate SSC and firmness in melons using their color and texture features. Results: In sensing melon SSC, the coefficients of determination of validation (Rv 2) of the prediction models using the color and texture features were 0.84 (root mean square error of validation, RMSEV: 1.92 °Brix) and 0.96 (RMSEV: 0.60 °Brix), respectively. The Rv 2 values of the models for predicting melon firmness using the color and texture features were 0.64 (RMSEV: 4.62 N) and 0.79 (RMSEV: 2.99 N), respectively. Conclusions: In general, the texture features were more useful for estimating melon internal quality than the color features. However, to strengthen the usefulness of the color and texture features of melon surface for estimation of melon quality, additional experiments with more fruit samples need to be conducted.
