Determination of HIF-1α degradation pathways via modulation of the propionyl mark

The hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α) is a key regulator ofhypoxic stress under physiological and pathological conditions. HIF-1α protein stability is tightly regulated by the ubiquitin-proteasomesystem (UPS) and autophagy in normoxia, hypoxia,and the tumor environment to mediate the hypoxic response. However, the mechanisms of how the UPS and autophagy interplayfor HIF-1α proteostasis remain unclear. Here, we founda HIF-1α species propionylated at lysine (K) 709 by p300/CREBbinding protein (CBP). HIF-1α stability and the choice of degradationpathway were affected by HIF-1α propionylation. K709-propionylation prevented HIF-1α from degradation throughthe UPS, while activated chaperon-mediated autophagy (CMA)induced the degradation of propionylated and nonpropionylatedHIF-1α. CMA contributed to HIF-1α degradation in both normoxiaand hypoxia. Furthermore, the pan-cancer analysis showedthat CMA had a significant positive correlation with the hypoxicsignatures, whereas SIRT1, responsible for K709-depropionylationcorrelated negatively with them. Altogether, our results revealeda novel mechanism of HIF-1α distribution into two differentdegradation pathways.
조직분위기와 종업원 침묵의 관계 및 조직공정성의 조절효과

본 연구는 조직분위기(상사태도, 조직정치지각)와 종업원침묵(체념적침묵, 친사회적침묵)의 관계 및 조직공정성(분배공정성, 상호작용공정성)의 조절효과를 확인하는데 목적이 있다. 건설업, 제조업, 서비스업에 소속된 구성원 241명의 설문결과를 토대로 위계적 다중회귀분석을 실시한 결과, 상사태도는 종업원침묵에 부(-)적인 관계로 나타났고, 조직정치지각은 종업원침묵(체념적, 친사회적)과 정적인 관계로 나타났다. 그리고 조직정치지각이 종업원침묵에 정(+)적인 영향을 미치는 데에 있어서 조직공정성(분배, 상호작용)은 조절효과로서 침묵을 감소시키는 역할을 하였다. 추후 연구에서는 설문대상자들의 시간적 흐름에 따른 의식의 변화와 행태적인 특성을 반영할 수 있는 연구가 이루어져야 할 것이다. This paper reviewed the relationship between organizational climate (superior attitudes, organizational politics perception) and employee silence (acquiescent, prosocial) and the moderating effect of organizational justice. The results of hierarchical multiple regression analysis, based on the reponses from 241 employees in construction industry, manufacturing industry, service industry, showed that superior attitudes appeared to be negatively related with employee silence and organizational politics perception appeared to be positively related with employee silence. In moderating effects, organizational justice interacts with organizational politics perception to have positive effects on employee silence and plays a role in reducing employee silence. The subsequent studies will need to be conducted to reflect the changing consciousness and behavioral characteristics of the survey participants over time.

An intact male, 3-month-old, Great Pyrenees mountain dog, weighing 7.3 kg with a history of severe hematuria during 2 months was referred. Hematology showed mild leukocytosis. There were no remarkable findings in abdominal radiographs due to ingesta and gas in the gastrointestinal tracts. Ultrasonographs showed bilateral hydronephrosis, bilateral dilated and tortuous ureters, and hyperechoic sludges in the urinary bladder (UB). And a dilated cavity was identified cranial to the UB. Excretory urography and cystography were performed to examine the cause of hydronephrosis and an abnormal cavity cranial to the UB. Bilateral ureters were tortuously dilated and opened into the craniodorsal part of the UB. An abnormal cavity was connected to the UB at the left cranioventral part of the UB. Therefore bilateral ectopic ureters and urachal remnant were diagnosed.
Catalytic Properties of Phospholipase D using Phosphatidic Acid as an Activator

The effects of phosphatidic acid(PA) on the activity of phospholipase D were examined in detail. The enzyme activity was examined in the liposome system containing phosphatidylcholine and PA, which was suspended in a desired buffer solution by ultrasonication. The substrate of large unilamella vesicle (LUV) state by ultrasonication was more effective on the enzyme activity than that of multilamella vesicle(MLV) by water-bath type sonication. The most effective molar ratio of PC-PA liposome for enzyme activity was found to be 1:0.7. The other optimum conditions were found 5 mM $Ca^{2+}$ ion, pH 6.6, and incubation temperature of $27^{\circ}C. K_m \;and \;V_{max}$ values were estimated to be 1.43 mM and 0.8 $nmole/min/{\mu}g$ protein respectively. These properties in a PC-PA liposome system were compared with those in a PC-SDS mixed micelle system. The effects of other phospholipids and organic phosphates on the enzyme activity were also examined.

In this study, a new plasma/catalyst continuously regenerative hybrid system is introduced to treat diesel particulate matter (DPM). NOx and CO aftertreatment. The catalyst temperature. plasma energy density and exhaust gas characteristics were investigated on the dynamometer test bed. It was reported the smoke removal efficiency has around 70% in the dynamometer test with 80W energy consumption in stationary engine test bed. The plasma/catalyst hybrid system experiments show almost DPM and CO was removed and 30% of NOx removed simultaneously by this system at each engine condition respectively. Considering these results. moreover. in dynamometer experiments show plasma/catalyst continuously regenerative hybrid system is a promising method to regenerate diesel particulate
