유인효과를 이용한 비교 광고(이하 유인 비교 광고)는 열등 대안과 경쟁 대안에 대한 정보를 함께 제시해주기 때문에 열등 대안과는 일면적 메시지 비교 광고의 속성을 그리고 경쟁 대안과는 양면적 메시지 비교 광고의 속성을 포함하는 새로운 형태의 광고라 할 수 있다. 이런 특성으로 인해 메시지 품질(신뢰성)과 브랜드 품질(구매의도) 평가에 있어 유인 비교 광고는 다른 광고(비비교 광고, 일면적/양면적 메시지 비교 광고)에 비해 상대적으로 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 가상 브랜드가 아닌 실제 브랜드 상황에서 유인비교광고가 여전히 유효한지 그리고 브랜드 선호도에 따라 그 효과가 어떻게 달라지는지를 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 컴퓨터업체의 후발주자인 TG컴퓨터를 대상으로 3집단(비비교광고, 일면적 메시지 비교 광고, 유인 비교 광고)실험 설계를 적용하여 실험을 실시하였다. 실험결과 메시지 신뢰성의 경우 일면적 메시지 비교 광고는 비비교광고와 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났지만, 유인비교광고는 비비교광고에 비해 메시지 신뢰성이 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 한편 구매의도에 있어 일면적 메시지 비교 광고와 유인 비교 광고는 비비교 광고에 비해 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 유인 비교 광고는 TG브랜드에 대한 선호도가 높은 집단과 낮은 집단 모두에서 비비교 광고보다 구매의도가 높게 나타났다. Comparative advertising with attraction effect (referred to as Attraction comparative advertising) presented information for both inferior alternative and competitive alternative. Therefore it can be called a new type of advertising which includes one-sided message of comparative advertising and two-sided message of comparative advertising for competitive alternative. This research looks into whether attraction comparative advertising was still effective in real brand situation, not in imaginary brand situation, and how the effect changed according to its brand preference. According to the experimental results, there appeared no difference in the evaluation of message credibility between one-sided message comparative advertising and non-comparative advertising, while attraction comparative advertising appeared more effective than non-comparative advertising in the evaluation of message credibility. However when it came to purchase intention, the one-sided message comparative advertising and attraction comparative advertising appeared more effective than non-comparative advertising.

<P><B><I>Objective.</I></B> Radiation-induced hemorrhagic gastroduodenal vascular ectasia (GDVE) is rare but difficult to manage. Argon plasma coagulation (APC) has not yet been evaluated in the treatment of radiation-induced hemorrhagic GDVE. The efficacy of APC in patients with radiation-induced hemorrhagic GDVE has been investigated in this article. <B><I>Material and methods.</I></B> Eighteen patients with upper gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding caused by radiation-induced GDVE, including 13 with hepatocellular carcinoma, 3 with pancreatic cancer, and 2 with cholangiocarcinoma, were treated with APC. The efficacy of APC was retrospectively evaluated, based on cessation of macroscopic GI bleeding, resolution or stabilization of anemia and transfusion dependence, endoscopic ablation of almost all vascular lesions, complications, and recurrence. <B><I>Results.</I></B> Mean patient age was 59 years (range 42-80 years). The median time from radiation to GDVE diagnosis was 4.6 months (range 3.3-21.5 months). The median number of APC sessions per patient was 2.4 (range 1-4). All 18 patients showed an endoscopic response to APC treatment, with sustained increases in mean hemoglobin level, from 6.6 g/dL (range 2.9-9.5g/dL) to 9.7 g/dL (range 7.1-12.7 g/dL) (<I>p</I> < 0.001), and decreased dependence on transfusion, from 9.1 (range 0-30) to 4.1 (range 0-15) units of packed red blood cells per patient (<I>p</I> = 0.038) after last endoscopic eradication by APC treatment. There were no major procedure-related adverse events or deaths. At a median follow up of 4.7 months (range 0.6-24.5 months), none of the patients experienced recurrence of GDVE. <B><I>Conclusions.</I></B> APC showed short-term effectiveness and safety in the treatment of radiation-induced hemorrhagic GDVE.</P>

Polymer thin-lm transistors (TFTs) that use Ta2O5 gate insulator were fabricated on plastic substrates. The Ta2O5 gate insulator was prepared by anodizing a Ta gate electrode. Ta2O5 has a much larger relative dielectric constant (" = 20 28) compared with conventional gate insulators, and it enables the polymer TFTs to operate at a lower voltage than previous devices. Poly-3- hexylthiophene (P3HT) was used as semiconducting material in the transistors. P3HT deposited by the micro-contact printing process, which uses a silicon elastomer stamp, enables the patterning of polymer layers without any photo-engraving process (PEP). The polymer FETs exhibited a eld-eect mobility of 8.1 0.5 cm2/Vs and a current on/o ratio of 102 103. Furthermore, in this paper, we discuss the properties of the dielectric material as well as the P3HT-based organic transistors with a Ta2O5 gate insulator.
Real-World National Colonoscopy Volume in Korea: A Nationwide Population-Based Study over 12 Years

Background/Aims: Little is known about the national colonoscopy volume in Asian countries. This study aimed to assess the national colonoscopy volume in Korea over a 12-year period on the basis of a nationwide population-based database. Methods: We conducted a population-based study for colonoscopy claims (14,511,158 colonoscopies performed on 13,219,781 patients) on the basis of the Korean National Health Insurance Service database from 2002 to 2013. The 12-year national colonoscopy burden was analyzed according to patient age, patient sex, and healthcare facility type. Results: The overall volume of colonoscopy increased 8-fold over the 12-year period. The annual colonoscopic polypectomy rate significantly increased in all patient sex and age groups over the 12-years period (all p<0.001). The yearly colonoscopic polypectomy rate for men was significantly increased compared with that for women (2.3% vs 1.7%, p<0.001) and for the screening-age group compared with that for the young-age group (2.0% vs 1.6%, p<0.001). The yearly colonoscopic polypectomy rate relative to the total colonoscopy volume significantly increased in primary, secondary, and tertiary facilities by 2.4%, 1.9%, and 1.4% during the 12-year period (all p<0.001). In addition, the annual colonoscopy volume covered by high-volume facilities significantly increased by 1.8% in primary healthcare facilities over the 12-year period (p<0.001). Conclusions: Healthcare resources should be prioritized to allow adequate colonoscopic capacity, especially for men, individuals in the screening-age group, and at primary healthcare facilities. Cost-effective strategies to improve the quality of colonoscopy may focus on primary healthcare facilities and high-volume facilities in Korea.

Blood samples were collected from 672 goats in 60 farms from five provinces of Korea between November 2009 and August 2011. The prevalence of antibodies to pestiviruses was investigated. The examination for antibodies was performed using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) detecting antibodies to the bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV) and border disease virus (BDV). All blood samples were screened using reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) with primer pairs specific to common pestivirus genome regions. The observed individual seroprevalence was 1.49% and herd seroprevalence was 11.67%. Also, the specific genomes to pestiviruses were detected in 3 out of the 915 clinical samples (0.45%). Based on the nucleotide sequence data, detected pestiviruses were belonged to two BVDV type-1 and one BVDV type-2. The pestivirus infection has been occurred among Korean black goats. However, our results indicate that the prevalence of pestiviruses in black goats was not significantly higher on farms with cattle.

A Face Robot Actuated With Artificial Muscle Based on Dielectric Elastomer

Face robots capable of expressing their emotional status, can be adopted as an efficient tool for friendly communication between the human and the machine. In this paper, we present a face robot actuated with artificial muscle based on dielectric elastomer. By exploiting the properties of dielectric elastomer, it is possible to actuate the covering skin, eyes as well as provide human-like expressivity without employing complicated mechanisms. The robot is driven by seven actuator modules such eye, eyebrow, eyelid, brow, cheek, jaw and neck module corresponding to movements of facial muscles. Although they are only part of the whole set of facial motions, our approach is sufficient to generate six fundamental facial expressions such as surprise, fear, angry, disgust, sadness, and happiness. In the robot, each module communicates with the others via CAN communication protocol and according to the desired emotional expressions, the facial motions are generated by combining the motions of each actuator module. A prototype of the robot has been developed and several experiments have been conducted to validate its feasibility.
