Passivity-Based Design for LCL-Filtered Grid-Connected Inverters with Inverter Current Control and Capacitor-Current Active Damping

        Fan Zeyang,Yi Hong,Xu Jian,Xie Kun 대한전기학회 2024 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.19 No.3

Passivity-based design gains much popularity in grid-connected inverters (GCIs) since it enables system stability regardless of the uncertain grid impedance. This paper devotes to a systematic passivity-based design guidance for the LCL-fltered GCI with inverter current control and capacitor-current active damping. It is found that the passivity can be guaranteed with an optimal damping gain of the capacitor-current active damping, but it sufers from both the flter parameter drift and the lagging phase of the current regulator, especially at the one-sixth sampling frequency. To address this issue, a phase-lead compensation is introduced in series with the current regulator, which helps to enhance the full-band passivity and high robustness against the aforementioned challenge. Experiments are conducted to confrm the theoretical expectation.

Diversity, distribution, and antagonistic activities of rhizobacteria of Panax notoginseng

        Fan, Ze-Yan,Miao, Cui-Ping,Qiao, Xin-Guo,Zheng, You-Kun,Chen, Hua-Hong,Chen, You-Wei,Xu, Li-Hua,Zhao, Li-Xing,Guan, Hui-Lin The Korean Society of Ginseng 2016 Journal of Ginseng Research Vol.40 No.2

Background: Rhizobacteria play an important role in plant defense and could be promising sources of biocontrol agents. This study aimed to screen antagonistic bacteria and develop a biocontrol system for root rot complex of Panax notoginseng. Methods: Pure-culture methods were used to isolate bacteria from the rhizosphere soil of notoginseng plants. The identification of isolates was based on the analysis of 16S ribosomal RNA (rRNA) sequences. Results: A total of 279 bacteria were obtained from rhizosphere soils of healthy and root-rot notoginseng plants, and uncultivated soil. Among all the isolates, 88 showed antagonistic activity to at least one of three phytopathogenic fungi, Fusarium oxysporum, Fusarium solani, and Phoma herbarum mainly causing root rot disease of P. notoginseng. Based on the 16S rRNA sequencing, the antagonistic bacteria were characterized into four clusters, Firmicutes, Proteobacteria, Actinobacteria, and Bacteroidetesi. The genus Bacillus was the most frequently isolated, and Bacillus siamensis (Hs02), Bacillus atrophaeus (Hs09) showed strong antagonistic activity to the three pathogens. The distribution pattern differed in soil types, genera Achromobacter, Acidovorax, Brevibacterium, Brevundimonas, Flavimonas, and Streptomyces were only found in rhizosphere of healthy plants, while Delftia, Leclercia, Brevibacillus, Microbacterium, Pantoea, Rhizobium, and Stenotrophomonas only exist in soil of diseased plant, and Acinetobacter only exist in uncultivated soil. Conclusion: The results suggest that diverse bacteria exist in the P. notoginseng rhizosphere soil, with differences in community in the same field, and antagonistic isolates may be good potential biological control agent for the notoginseng root-rot diseases caused by F. oxysporum, Fusarium solani, and Panax herbarum.

Performance Analysis of Amplify-and-Forward Two-Way Relaying with Antenna Correlation

( Zhangjun Fan ),( Kun Xu ),( Bangning Zhang ),( Xiaofei Pan ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2012 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.6 No.6

This paper investigates the performance of an amplify-and-forward (AF) two-way relaying system with antenna correlation. The system consists of two multiple-antenna sources, which exchange information via the aid of a single-antenna relay. In particular, we derive the exact outage probability expression. Furthermore, we provide a simple, tight closed-form lower bound for the outage probability. Based on the lower bound, we obtain the closed-form asymptotic outage probability and the average symbol error rate expressions at high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), which reveal the system`s diversity order and coding gain with antenna correlation. To investigate the system`s throughput performance with antenna correlation, we also derive a closed-form lower bound for the average sum-rate, which is quite tight from medium to high SNR regime. The analytical results readily enable us to obtain insight into the effect of antenna correlation on the system`s performance. Extensive Monte Carlo simulations are conducted to verify the analytical results.

CDH17 nanobodies facilitate rapid imaging of gastric cancer and efficient delivery of immunotoxin

        Jingbo Ma,Xiaolong Xu,Chunjin Fu,Peng Xia,Ming Tian,Liuhai Zheng,Kun Chen,Xiaolian Liu,Yilei Li,Le Yu,Qinchang Zhu,Yangyang Yu,Rongrong Fan,Haibo Jiang,Zhifen Li,Chuanbin Yang,Chengchao Xu,Ying Long,J 한국생체재료학회 2022 생체재료학회지 Vol.26 No.4

Background: It is highly desirable to develop new therapeutic strategies for gastric cancer given the low survival rate despite improvement in the past decades. Cadherin 17 (CDH17) is a membrane protein highly expressed in cancers of digestive system. Nanobody represents a novel antibody format for cancer targeted imaging and drug delivery. Nanobody targeting CHD17 as an imaging probe and a delivery vehicle of toxin remains to be explored for its theragnostic potential in gastric cancer. Methods: Naïve nanobody phage library was screened against CDH17 Domain 1-3 and identified nanobodies were extensively characterized with various assays. Nanobodies labeled with imaging probe were tested in vitro and in vivo for gastric cancer detection. A CDH17 Nanobody fused with toxin PE38 was evaluated for gastric cancer inhibition in vitro and in vivo. Results: Two nanobodies (A1 and E8) against human CDH17 with high affinity and high specificity were successfully obtained. These nanobodies could specifically bind to CDH17 protein and CDH17-positive gastric cancer cells. E8 nanobody as a lead was extensively determined for tumor imaging and drug delivery. It could efficiently co-localize with CDH17-positive gastric cancer cells in zebrafish embryos and rapidly visualize the tumor mass in mice within 3 h when conjugated with imaging dyes. E8 nanobody fused with toxin PE38 showed excellent anti-tumor effect and remarkably improved the mice survival in cell-derived (CDX) and patient-derived xenograft (PDX) models. The immunotoxin also enhanced the anti-tumor effect of clinical drug 5-Fluorouracil. Conclusions: The study presents a novel imaging and drug delivery strategy by targeting CDH17. CDH17 nanobodybased immunotoxin is potentially a promising therapeutic modality for clinical translation against gastric cancer.

A retrospective study on the efficacy of Roxadustat in peritoneal dialysis patients with erythropoietin hyporesponsiveness

        Jie Liu,Shuang Li,Fan Yang,Tianyu Li,Rui Li,Yousuf Waheed,Chen Meng,Shulin Li,Kun Liu,Yanshan Tong,Haisheng Xu,Chuankuo Tian,Xinglei Zhou 대한내과학회 2024 The Korean Journal of Internal Medicine Vol.39 No.3

Background/Aims: Roxadustat, an oral medication for treating renal anemia, is a hypoxia-inducible factor prolyl hydroxylase inhibitor used for regulating iron metabolism and promoting erythropoiesis. To investigate the efficacy and safety of roxadustat in patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis (PD) with erythropoietin hyporesponsiveness. Methods: Single-center, retrospective study, 81 PD patients (with erythropoietin hyporesponsiveness) were divided into the roxadustat group (n = 61) and erythropoiesis-stimulating agents (ESAs) group (n = 20). Hemoglobin (Hb), total cholesterol, intact parathyroid hormone (iPTH), brain natriuretic peptide (BNP), related indicators of cardiac function and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) were collected. Additionally, adverse events were also recorded. The follow-up period was 16 weeks. Results: The two groups exhibited similar baseline demographic and clinical characteristics. At baseline, the roxadustat group had a mean Hb level of 89.8 ± 18.9 g/L, while the ESAs group had a mean Hb level of 95.2 ± 16.0 g/L. By week 16, the Hb levels had increased to 118 ± 19.8 g/L (p < 0.05) in the roxadustat group and 101 ± 19.3 g/L (p > 0.05) in the ESAs group. The efficacy of roxadustat in improving anemia was not influenced by baseline levels of hs-CRP and iPTH. Cholesterol was decreased in the roxadustat group without statin use. An increase in left ventricular ejection fraction and stabilization of BNP were observed in the roxadustat group. Conclusions: For PD patients with erythropoietin hyporesponsiveness, roxadustat can significantly improve renal anemia. The efficacy of roxadustat in improving renal anemia was not affected by baseline levels of hs-CRP0 and iPTH.

      • Characteristics of Mammary Paget's Disease in China: a National-wide Multicenter Retrospective Study During 1999-2008

        Zheng, Shan,Song, Qing-Kun,Zhao, Lin,Huang, Rong,Sun, Li,Li, Jing,Fan, Jin-Hu,Zhang, Bao-Ning,Yang, Hong-Jian,Xu, Feng,Zhang, Bin,Qiao, You-Lin Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2012 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.13 No.5

The aim of this study was to detail characteristics of mammary Paget's disease (PD) representing the whole population in China. A total of 4211 female breast cancer inpatients at seven tertiary hospitals from seven representative geographical regions of China were collected randomly during 1999 to 2008. Data for demography, risk factors, diagnostic imaging test, physical examination and pathologic characters were surveyed and biomarker status was tested by immunohistochemistry. The differences of demography and risk factors between PD with breast cancer and other lesions were compared using Chi-square test or t-test, with attention to physical examination and pathological characters. The percentage of PD was 1.6% (68/4211) in all breast cancers. The mean age at diagnosis was 48.1, and 63.2% (43/68) patients were premenopausal. There is no difference in demography and risk factors between PD with breast cancer and other breast cancer (P > 0.05). The main pattern of PD in physical exam and pathologic pattern were patients presenting with a palpable mass in breast (65/68, 95.6%) and PD with underlying invasive cancer (82.4%, 56/68) respectively. The rate of multifocal disease was 7.4% (5/68). PD with invasive breast cancer showed larger tumor size, more multifocal disease, lower ER and PR expression and higher HER2 overexpression than those in other invasive breast cancer (P < 0.05). These results suggested that PD in China is a concomitant disease of breast cancer, and that PD with underlying invasive cancer has more multiple foci and more aggressive behavior compared with other breast invasive cancer. We address the urgent needs for establishing diagnostic and therapeutic guidelines for mammary PD in China.

H2S-responsive zwitterionic hydrogel as a self–healing agent for plugging microcracks in oil-well cement

        Xiaona Huang,Hao Zhang,Xuguang Wang,Xiutian Yang,Rongzhuang Lin,Fan Zhang,Ying Liu,Kun Xu,Chao Zhou,Pixin Wang 한국공업화학회 2023 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.127 No.-

During cementing construction, H2S gas leak from micro-cracks of cement ring or cementing interface, seriously damaging wellbore integrity and shortening the life of wells. Therefore, microcrack selfhealingcement technology is of great significance for oil wells to maintain the durability of cement ringsand adapt to complex underground environments. Herein, acrylamide (AM), acrylonitrile (AN) and Nvinylformamide(NVF) were used as functional monomers, and laponite was added to prepareLaponite-poly(acrylamide-acrylonitrile-n-vinylformamide) nanocomposite hydrogel (L-PMAN) withexcellent mechanical strength as micro-crack repair agent for gas-triggered cementing cement sheath. Considering the difference of chemical environment in the process of wellbore cement slurry sealingand subsequent micro-fracture plugging, different structural units were selected to design amphotericstructure. The construction of zwitterionic structure makes it exhibit excellent swelling behavior in saltsolution while maintaining 80% of the original mechanical strength. More importantly, after adding LPMANpowder, cement stone (C1) can achieve good repair of microcracks under the trigger of H2S within3 days, and the maximum gas breakthrough pressure can reach 2.5 MPa, indicating the great potentials ofthe L-PMAN for plugging microcracks in cement sheath.

Ginsengenin derivatives synthesized from 20(R)-panaxotriol: Synthesis, characterization, and antitumor activity targeting HIF-1 pathway

        Guo, Hong-Yan,Xing, Yue,Sun, Yu-Qiao,Liu, Can,Xu, Qian,Shang, Fan-Fan,Zhang, Run-Hui,Jin, Xue-Jun,Chen, Fener,Lee, Jung Joon,Kang, Dongzhou,Shen, Qing-Kun,Quan, Zhe-Shan The Korean Society of Ginseng 2022 Journal of Ginseng Research Vol.46 No.6

Background: Ginseng possesses antitumor effects, and ginsenosides are considered to be one of its main active chemical components. Ginsenosides can further be hydrolyzed to generate secondary saponins, and 20(R)-panaxotriol is an important sapogenin of ginsenosides. We aimed to synthesize a new ginsengenin derivative from 20(R)-panaxotriol and investigate its antitumor activity in vivo and in vitro. Methods: Here, 20(R)-panaxotriol was selected as a precursor and was modified into its derivatives. The new products were characterized by 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR and HR-MS and evaluated by molecular docking, MTT, luciferase reporter assay, western blotting, immunofluorescent staining, colony formation assay, EdU labeling and immunofluorescence, apoptosis assay, cells migration assay, transwell assay and in vivo antitumor activity assay. Results: The derivative with the best antitumor activity was identified as 6,12-dihydroxy-4,4,8,10,14-pentamethyl-17-(2,6,6-trimethyltetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yl)hexadecahydro-1H-cyclopenta[a]phenanthren-3-yl(tert-butoxycarbonyl)glycinate (A11). The focus of this research was on the antitumor activity of the derivatives. The efficacy of the derivative A11 (IC50 < 0.3 µM) was more than 100 times higher than that of 20(R)- panaxotriol (IC50 > 30 µM). In addition, A11 inhibited the protein expression and nuclear accumulation of the hypoxia-inducible factor HIF-1α in HeLa cells under hypoxic conditions in a dose-dependent manner. Moreover, A11 dose-dependently inhibited the proliferation, migration, and invasion of HeLa cells, while promoting their apoptosis. Notably, the inhibition by A11 was more significant than that by 20(R)-panaxotriol (p < 0.01) in vivo. Conclusion: To our knowledge, this is the first study to report the production of derivative A11 from 20(R)-panaxotriol and its superior antitumor activity compared to its precursor. Moreover, derivative A11 can be used to further study and develop novel antitumor drugs.
