Propylene-induced plasticization in silver polymer electrolyte membranes

Silver polymer electrolyte membranes consisting of AgBF4 or AgCF3SO3 dissolved in poly(2-ethyl-2-oxazoline) (POZ) or poly(N-vinyl pyrrolidone) (PVP) have previously shown outstanding separation performance for propylene/propane mixtures. The ideal separation factor (i.e. pure gas selectivity) of propylene over propane reached 15,000, but the actual selectivity (i.e. mixed gas selectivity) was approximately 50. In this study, the origin of large difference between pure and mixed gas selectivities has been elucidated in terms of membrane plasticization by propylene molecules. The membrane plasticization was confirmed by the decrease of selectivity with increasing propylene concentration in the feed, resulting from the increase of both propylene and propane permeances. The decrease of glass transition temperature (Tg) in silver polymer electrolytes upon the sorption of propylene also supported the membrane plasticization, determined by in situ high-pressure differential scanning calorimetry (HPDSC). Further analysis of configuration entropy model revealed that the interaction of propylene/silver ion in POZ/AgBF4 was approximately 2-fold stronger than that in POZ/AgCF3SO3, which is in good agreement with the results of propylene solubility and FT-IR spectra.

Nowadays, fuel receiving attention in the situation that we need alternative energy which is able to solve both the depletion of petroleum resources and environmental problems is natural gas and hydrogen. HCNG is an abbreviation of Hydrogen-Compressed Natural Gas and means fuel which is compound of natural gas and hydrogen. Natural gas is in the limelight as clean fuel because the reserve of it is a large mount and exhaust is less. However, compressed natural gas has slow rate of flame propagation and low limit of flammability. This drawback makes mileage and efficiency worse comparing to existing fuel. In order to make up for the drawback, hydrogen which has fast rate of flame propagation is added, then it makes limit of flammability high. in case of using this fuel with an engine, lean burn can be possible. It makes not only combustion efficiency better but also combustion temperature lower because of lean burn. So, formation of NOx is fundamentally stopped and it finally makes NOx emission reduced dramatically. H/C rate of HCNG fuel is higher than existing fossil fuel, which is advantage of it. An increase of H/C rate can cause reduction of greenhouse gas emission by a decrease of creating CO₂ per on the unit energy. Combustion characteristics were confirmed by CVC experiment and reduction of NOx and CO₂ was ascertained by Chassis Dynamometer experiment.

본 논문은 디지털 이민자 세대의 디지털 불평등을 해소를 위한 메타버스 활용 알고리즘을 제시한다. 중장년층 또는 아동 유저가 유입됐을 때 단계별 최적화 된 알고리즘을 구현하여 특정 세대에 치중된 디지털 불평등을 해소하고 전 세대에 걸쳐 메타버스로의 접근성을 높이는 것을 목적으로 한다. In this paper presents a metaverse utilization algorithm for resolving digital inequality of the Digital Immigrants generation. It aims to solve digital inequality focused on a specific generation and increase access to the metaverse across all generations by implementing an algorithm optimized for each stage when middle-aged or young users are introduced.
은염을 포함하는 고분자 전해질 막을 통한 올레핀 촉진수송의 해석

본 연구에서는 은-고분자 전해질 막에서의 프로필렌/프로판에 대한 순수 기체 선택도 (~10,000)와 혼합기체 선택도(~40)의 큰 차이의 원인을 규명하였다. 먼저 기체 공급 조건이 혼합기체의 투과도와 분리 성능에 미치는 영향을 고찰하였다. 프로필렌의 농도가 감소함에 따라 고분자 전해질 막을 통한 프로필렌의 투과도는 감소하고, 프로판의 투과도는 증가를 하였으며, 그 결과 프로판/프로필렌의 선택도가 감소하였다. 이는 고분자 전해질막의 프로필렌에 의한 가소화에 의한 것임을 실험적 결과 및 수학적 모델에 의해서 확인하였다. 또한, 압력과 무관한 투과도를 사용하였을 때의 이론적 계산에 의한 막 분리 성능은 실험치와 비슷하게 나왔음을 알 수 있었다. The origin of large difference of selectivity of C3H6 over C3H8 between pure gas and mixed gas through silver polymer electrolyte membranes is investigated. Firstly, the effect of feed condition on the permeance of mixture gas (C3H6/C3H8) and the separation performance is examined. Upon decrease of the C3;H6 concentration, the C3H6 permeance decreased whereas the permeance of C3H8 increased, resulting in the decrease of the selectivity of C3H6/C3H8/. This result is ascribed to the C3H6-induced plasticization of membranes. Experimental results were validated by means of mathematical modeling, where pressure independent permeabilities were used.
Clinical Relevance for Serum Cold-Inducible RNA-Binding Protein Level in Alopecia Areata

Background: Alopecia areata (AA), a chronic, relapsing hairloss disorder, is considered to be a T-cell-mediated autoimmune disease. Cold-inducible RNA-binding protein (CIRP) belongs to a family of cold-shock proteins that respond to cold stress, and has been identified as a damage-associated molecular pattern (DAMP) molecule that triggers the inflammatory response. Recent studies have shown that highmobility group box 1, another DAMP molecule, is elevated in serum and scalp tissue of AA patients, suggesting a relationship between DAMP molecules and the pathogenesis of AA. Objective: To investigate the clinical significance of serum CIRP levels in AA. Methods: The serum levels of CIRP were compared between 68 patients with AA and 20 healthy controls. Additionally, the correlation between CIRP level and various clinical parameters was evaluated. Results: The serum CIRP levels were significantly higher in AA patients compared to healthy subjects. Moreover, there was an association between the serum CIRP level and clinical characteristics, such as disease duration and disease activity. However, there was no significant difference in the serum CIRP level among the clinical types of AA (AA multiplex, alopecia totalis, and alopecia universalis). Conclusion: These results suggest that CIRP may play a significant role in the pathogenesis of AA and could be a potential biologic marker for monitoring the disease activity of AA. This work investigated biodegradability for the cellulose acetate, carbon dual, paper and web used to cigarette filter materials by soil test. Also, because of demanded a lot of the time and effort in case of soil test, the possibility of biodegradation by enzyme was studied. The evaluation of degradation for the filter materials by soil test was examined with the naked eye, electron microscopy and weight loss. The biodegradability according to the filter materials was represented in the order of paper > web > carbon dual > cellulose acetate without relating to the evaluation methods. Experiment of biodegradability by the cellulase(E C 3.2.1.4, Trichoderma viride) among the several biodegradability enzymes was demanded reaction time of the $5\~10$ hours and represented the same result with that of soil test.
