      • 알코올의 섭취가 흰쥐의 혈액과 간의 지질대사에 미치는 영향

        To investigate the effects of ethanol on the lipid metabolism in blood and liver, twenty one male Sprague Dawley rats had orally taken the 25% alcohol and 50% alcohol by 5g per Kg of weight during 3 weeks after the adjusting period. For the energy balance, 85% sucrose and 45% sucrose was added in control group and 25% alcohol group each. The weight was reduced by alcohol treatment according to the levels, otherwise the weight of liver and heart was little increased in alcohol groups rather than in control without significance. Moreover, RBC, WBC, hemoglobin and hematocrit were increased by alcohol treatment according to the levels without significance. Otherwise, adjusted bilirubin levels by 100g of weight was significantly increased by alcohol treatment dose dependently. Alcohol induced RBC degradation and increased circulated bilirubin because of liver damage. For blood lipid profiles, blood cholesterol was increased in 50% of alcohol group compared to that of 25% and control groups, otherwise, blood triglycerides (TG) was increased by 30% in 25% alcohol groups rather than in control but not significantly different. The hepatic lipid composition, cholesterol levels in alcohol treatment groups was lower than those in control. The hepatic TG was not influenced by alcohol treatment. The two reasons of decreasing hepatic lipids were suggested by 85% sucrose of control for energy balance more synthesized cholesterol and TG than those in 25 or 50% alcohol groups, and by cholesterol and TG could not be synthesized because of liver damage from alcohol.

        서울지역 주부들의 한과에 대한 인지도 조사

        A self completed survey of 250 housewivies living in the Seoul. The aim of this study was to investigate the perceptions and preferences of 20's, 50s housewives to Korean traditional cookies. The result is as follows. As to the preference of Korean traditional cookies, 86.0% answered they liked it. The frequency rate of eating Korean traditional cookies showed that 2 times a year reached the highest 45.6%. They usually purchase Korean cookies on the market rather than making them by themselves. The study showed that 50s housewives preferred Korean cookies are yakwa(74.3%), maejackwa(35.7%) and kangjung(34.3%) otherwise 20s housewives preferred Korean traditional cookies are yakwa(79.4%), kangjung(60.0%) and yeat gangjung(39.4%) This survey study may contribute to the improvement of Korean traditional cookies.

        The purpose of this experimental study is to investigate the validity of code equation and table to calculate the reduction coefficient for effective net area in the limit state design code of steel structure and offer the basic research data for the effective net area of tee shape members in tension. The experimental tests were performed by loading the specimens through the flange with high strength bolt. Length of connection, number of bolt and the eccentricity are the parameters in test. According to result, the failure loads in test is less than predicted loads and it well showed when the predicted loads are based on reduction coefficient of the table in code. The lateral buckling of stem occurred in the members with big eccentricity and it reduce the failure loads. Therefore, we thought that an additional tests and research on the factors of effective net area is required.

        대구지역 주민들의 식행동과 일부 건강상태 지표와의 관련성(Ⅰ) : 주부들의 식행동과 비만정도를 중심으로 Focused on Dietary Behaviors and Obesity of Housewives

        This study was intended to collect the baseline information on dietary behavior of adults to develop nutrition education program in the context of health promotion at community level. Nutrients intake of 135 housewives were assessed by 24 hour recall methods. Also food habits, nutrition knowledge and attitude were investigated by self-administered questionnaires. Our results indicated dietary intake of calcium and vitamin B_2 were insufficient when they were compared to Korean recommended dietary allowances(RDA). Among five food groups, intakes of milk and dairy product was inadequate as compared to the recommended amount. When we compared the fatness indices to self-evaluated meal problems, overeating and speedy eating were significantly related to fatness indices. Fatness indices such as relative body weight(RBW) and body mass index(BMI) were significantly higher in the subjects who self-evaluated their unsound food behavior as overeating. However, there were no significant difference of food habit score and nutrition knowledge among groups classified by fatness or meal problem. Body fat ratio, frequencies of night snack and skipping meal significantly increased with age. Food habit score was positively related to health-concerned attitude and active attitude toward change. We concluded that nutrition education program for housewives should include detailed strategies to modify unsound food behaviors for healthy weight.

        수종 치과용 합금의 세포독성 평가에 관한 연구

        The restorations with dental alloys have toxic as well as mechanical stimulation to gingival tissue when they were contacted for long time. Cell culture method is one of the tests for evaluation of biocompatibility of the material or its components. In this study, the cytotoxicity of type Ⅲ dental crown and bridge casting alloys, dental amalgams, dental amalgam alloy containing metals, and copper-alluminum alloys was evaluated. L 929 cells were cultured in Eagle's MEM supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum, 100 IU/㎖ of penicillin, and 100 ㎍/㎖ of streptomycin and seeded with ?? cells/㎖ in plastic dishes (100×15㎜). After the cell monolayer had formed, medium was removed and the medium containing agarose was added. The cells were stained with 0.01% neutral red solution and the specimens were placed on the agar. After incubation for 24 hours at 37℃ in the CO₂incubator, the cultures were examined macroscopically and microscopically under a microscope to determine the cytotoxicity. From the experiments, the following results were obtained : 1. Type Ⅲ dental crown and bridge casting alloys, dental ceramic alloys, dental Co-Cr alloys, pure silver, and pure tin showed mild cytotoxicity with zone index of 1.0-1.5 and lysis index of 1.0-2.0. 2. Copper-based alloys (NPG), after ethylene oxide gas sterilization, showed mild cytotoxicity with response index of 1.0/2.0 ; after autoclave sterilization, showed moderate cytotoxicity with response index of 2.0/3.0. 3. Dental high copper amalgam (HVA) showed moderate cytotoxicity with response index of 2.0/3.0. 4. Of the constituent metals of dental amalgam alloy, copper showed severe cytotoxicity with response index of 4.0/4.5, and zinc showed moderate cytotoxicity with response index of 3.0/3.3.

      • 당뇨병의 유병기간과 아연 및 구리 영양상태와의 관련성

        Literature suggest a relationship between trace elements status and diabetic mellitus. This study was intended to examine the zinc and copper status of diabetic patients. Subjects who participated in this study 79 type H diabetic patients and 77 normal adults. The mean of diabetic duration was 9 years. The mean age of diabetic patients and control group was 57.4 years and 55.2 years, respectively. Zinc and copper intake was measured by food record and food frequency method. Urinary zinc and copper was assessed. There was no significant difference of zinc and copper intake between diabetic patients and control group. Urinary zinc and copper of diabetic patients was significantly higher than control group. It appeared that the longer the diabetic duration, the lower the zinc intake. We concluded that dietary information to increase zinc intake should be included for nutrient education of diabetic patients.

      • 청소년기 여학생의 아연 및 구리 영양상태와 흡연과의 관련성

        This study was intended to figure out how smoking affected the nutritional status of zinc and copper in adolescent girls. The subjects were girl students attending high school in Daegu. Dietary intakes were estimated by 2-days food record and food frequency method. Zinc and copper levels in the 24-hour urine were analyzed by ICP. Dietary zinc intake was 5.9±2.4mg in smoking group, 5.6±1.8mg in non-smoking group. Average urinary zinc excretion was 0.21±0.1mg in smoking group and 0.27±0.21mg in non-smoking group, which indicated the marginal zinc deficiency status. It appeared that 77.3% of the smokers and 60.9% of the non-smokers were at marginal zinc deficiency according to urinary zinc excretion. The concentration of plasma zinc was lower in smoking group(0.86±0.14mg/l) than non-smoking group(0.90±0.14mg/l) without statistical significance. Average dietary copper intake was 0.87±0.29mg in smoking group and 0.84±0.39mg in non-smoking group. Dietary zinc intake showed significantly positive correlation with the amount of smoking, while it had negative correlation with urinary zinc excretion(p<0.05). The amount of smoking was negatively correlated with urinary copper excretion(p<0.05). Dietary intake and urinary excretion of Zn and Cu, were not significantly different between smoking group and non-smoking group, however, the ratio of students who belonged to subnormal range is higher in smoking group than non-smoking group. This study suggested that smoking leads to negative effect of nutritional status of Zn and Cu.

      • 농산물과 가공식품의 선택기준과 품질개선에 관한 대구지역 주부 소비자들의 인식

        The purpose of this study was to contribute to the establishment of quality improvement program of farm products and processed food, and to provide the direction of consumer education. A survey was conducted to figure out the differences in the consumer perception of farm products and processed foods according to age group and education level. From the citizens in Tague area, 509 housewives were selected as sample subjects by stratified random sampling procedure. It appeared the main criteria for purchasing farm products was significantly different among age group. Most of consumers(84.5%) thought that food safety of farm products did not belong to safe level. The way to distinguish imported farm products was significantly different among education level. While most of consumers(79.4%) check up the place of origin, the tendency was significantly different among education level. Higher educated group utilized labelling system for the place of origin more often than others to distinguish foreign products. Perception on the farm-brand processed food products was significantly different among age group and education level : it appeared that the younger age group and higher educated group tended to purchase more farm-brand processed food products than other groups.

      • 유아의 식습관과 칼슘 영양상태

        This study was conducted to investigate the relationship of dietary intake of calcium and food habit. The data were collected by cross-sectional surveys on 124 preschool children aged 4 to 6 years in Daegu. Dietary intakes were measured by food record method for two days. Dietary habit and calcium status of preschool children were compared by food habit. Average daily energy intake was 1357.7 kcal in children having unbalanced food habit, while it was 1501.5 kcal in children having balanced food habit. There were significant differences in average intake of carbohydrate, fiber, and vitamin b_(6) between balanced and unbalanced food habit group. Calcium intake was below the level of 7th Recommended Dietary Allowances for Korean. Dietary Variety Score(DVS) of children with unbalanced diet was lower than children with balanced diet(p<0.05). Urinary calcium excretion was not significantly related to calcium intake level. Based on these results, it is necessary to incorporate the message of balanced food habit to achieve the optimal growth and nutritional adequacy during early growth period of children.

      • 식사구성안과 식품군 섭취 점수로 평가한 성인남녀의 영양섭취 균형도

        In the context of establishing community based nutritional service system, this study was conducted to evaluate the diet quality of 99 adults men and 97 adults women in Kyungpook area. Information on nutrient intake was collected by 24-hour recall method. Diet quality was evaluated by food composition group of meat, dairy, fruit, vegetables, grain groups. Only 21.1% of the subjects acquired 6 points from food composition group score(FCGS). While 9.6% of women had 10 points, none of men acquired 10 points. In Dietary Diversity Score(DDS), 53.1% of the subjects had 4 points, and 21.4% of the subjects ate five food groups which are the most desirable pattern. Both men and women took more than recommended amount of standard food composition group(SFCG) in meat, fish, egg, beans, vegetables and fruit. But they consumed less amount in milk and dairy group than SFCG.(50% of SFCG). While 9.6% of women had 10 points, none of men acquired 10 points. In DDs, 53.1% of the subjects had 4 points. FCGS showed significantly positive correlation with all nutrients intake in men, while it did not show significant correlation with Vit C in women. DDS showed significantly positive correlation with Ca, P, K and Vit B_2. It appeared that FCGS was a good method to evaluate diet precisely. DDS showed significantly positive correlation with intake of Ca and Vit A. Mean Adequacy Ratio(MAR) showed significantly positive correlation with FCGS (P<0.001) in men, whereas it showed significantly positive correlation with DDS, FCGS in women.
