        다변수 LSTM 순환신경망 딥러닝 모형을 이용한 미술품 가격 예측에 관한 실증연구

        새로운 미술품 유통방식의 발달로 미술품의 미적 효용을 넘어 투자재로서 바라보는 시각이 활성화되고 있다. 미술품의 가격은 주식이나 채권 등과 달리 객관적 요소와 주관적 요소들이 모두 반영되어 결정되는 이질적 특성이 있기 때문에 가격 예측에 있어서 그 불확실성이 높다. 본 연구에서는 LSTM(장단기 기억) 순환신경망 딥러닝 모형을 활용하여 낙찰총액 순위 1위부터 10위까지의 한국 작가의 회화 작품을 대상으로 작가의 특성, 작품의 물리적 특성, 판매적 특성 등을 입력으로 하여 경매 낙찰가의 예측을 시도하였다. 연구 결과, 모델에 의한 예측 가격과 실제 낙찰 가격의 차이를 설명하는 RMSE 값이 0.064 수준이었으며 작가별로는 이대원 작가의 예측력이 가장 높았고, 이중섭 작가의 예측력이 가장 낮았다. 투자재로서 미술품 시장이 더욱 활성화되고 경매 낙찰 가격의 예측 수요가 높아지면서 본 연구의 결과가 활용될 수 있을 것이다. With the recent development of the art distribution system, interest in art investment is increasing rather than seeing art as an object of aesthetic utility. Unlike stocks and bonds, the price of artworks has a heterogeneous characteristic that is determined by reflecting both objective and subjective factors, so the uncertainty in price prediction is high. In this study, we used LSTM Recurrent Neural Network deep learning model to predict the auction winning price by inputting the artist, physical and sales charateristics of the Korean artist. According to the result, the RMSE value, which explains the difference between the predicted and actual price by model, was 0.064. Painter Lee Dae Won had the highest predictive power, and Lee Joong Seop had the lowest. The results suggest the art market becomes more active as investment goods and demand for auction winning price increases.

        Dysregulated CREB3 cleavage at the nuclear membrane induces karyoptosis-mediated cell death

        Cancer cells often exhibit resistance to apoptotic cell death, but they may be vulnerable to other types of cell death. Elucidating additional mechanisms that govern cancer cell death is crucial for developing new therapies. Our research identified cyclic AMP-responsive element-binding protein 3 (CREB3) as a crucial regulator and initiator of a unique cell death mechanism known as karyoptosis. This process is characterized by nuclear shrinkage, deformation, and the loss of nuclear components following nuclear membrane rupture. We found that the N-terminal domain (aa 1-230) of full-length CREB3 (CREB3-FL), which is anchored to the nuclear inner membrane (INM), interacts with lamins and chromatin DNA. This interaction maintains a balance between the outward force exerted by tightly packed DNA and the inward constraining force, thereby preserving INM integrity. Under endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress, aberrant cleavage of CREB3-FL at the INM leads to abnormal accumulation of the cleaved form of CREB3 (CREB3-CF). This accumulation disrupts the attachment of CREB3-FL to the INM, resulting in sudden rupture of the nuclear membrane and the onset of karyoptosis. Proteomic studies revealed that CREB3-CF overexpression induces a DNA damage response akin to that caused by UVB irradiation, which is associated with cellular senescence in cancer cells. These findings demonstrated that the dysregulation of CREB3-FL cleavage is a key factor in karyoptotic cell death. Consequently, these findings suggest new therapeutic strategies in cancer treatment that exploit the process of karyoptosis.

        MEKs/ERKs-mediated FBXO1/E2Fs interaction interference modulates G1/S cell cycle transition and cancer cell proliferation

        E2F 1, 2, and 3a, (refer to as E2Fs) are a subfamily of E2F transcription factor family that play essential roles in cell-cycle progression, DNA replication, DNA repair, apoptosis, and differentiation. Although the transcriptional regulation of E2Fs has focused on pocket protein retinoblastoma protein complex, recent studies indicate that post-translational modification and stability regulation of E2Fs play key roles in diverse cellular processes. In this study, we found that FBXO1, a component of S-phase kinase-associated protein 1 (SKP1)-cullin 1-F-box protein (SCF) complex, is an E2Fs binding partner. Furthermore, FBXO1 to E2Fs binding induced K48 ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of E2Fs. Binding domain analysis indicated that the Arg (R)/Ile (I) and R/Val (V) motifs, which are located in the dimerization domain of E2Fs, of E2F 1 and 3a and E2F2, respectively, acted as degron motifs (DMs) for FBXO1. Notably, RI/AA or RV/AA mutation in the DMs reduced FBXO1-mediated ubiquitination and prolonged the half-lives of E2Fs. Importantly, the stabilities of E2Fs were affected by phosphorylation of threonine residues located near RI and RV residues of DMs. Phosphorylation prediction database analysis and specific inhibitor analysis revealed that MEK/ERK signaling molecules play key roles in FBXO1/E2Fs’ interaction and modulate E2F protein turnover. Moreover, both elevated E2Fs protein levels by knockdown of FBXO1 and decreased E2Fs protein levels by sh-E2F3a delayed G1/S cell cycle transition, resulting in inhibition of cancer cell proliferation. These results demonstrated that FBXO1-E2Fs axis-mediated precise E2Fs stability regulation plays a key role in cell proliferation via G1/S cell cycle transition.

        Comparison and Validation of 10 Equations Including a Novel Method for Estimation of LDL-cholesterol in a 168,212 Asian Population

        <▼1><P>Supplemental Digital Content is available in the text</P></▼1><▼2><P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>Low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) is frequently estimated using the empirical Friedewald equation. We compared the accuracy of the novel equation named as the 180-cell method (180-c), which estimates LDL-C using a stratification approach, to those of 9 previously suggested formulas, including the Friedewald equation.</P><P>We compared the accuracy of 10 equations by calculating intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) and weighted kappa index in relation to direct LDL-C measurement values. Two independent populations used in the validation were the Severance Hospital LDL-C (SHL) registry (n = 164,358) and the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES) 2009 to 2010 (n = 3,854), each representing the hospital patient population and the general Korean population, respectively.</P><P>The 180-c and DeLong equations showed the highest ICCs, indicating the best agreement with direct LDL-C measurement. The 180-c and Chen equations showed the highest kappa indices. For the hypertriglyceridemic subpopulation from SHL, the 180-c equation showed the best agreement with direct LDL-C measurement in terms of ICC.</P><P>We compared the novel 180-c method for LDL-C estimation with 9 previous formulas in a non-US population as the first external validation. The 180-c equation, with Chen equation, appeared to be more accurate than the Friedewald equation. Although the DeLong equation showed better performance in the hypertriglyceridemic subpopulation, the 180-c equation performed appropriately in Asian population.</P></▼2>

      • Improved three-dimensional multi-echo gradient echo based myelin water fraction mapping with phase related artifact correction

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Myelin water fraction (MWF) mapping with a multi-echo gradient echo (mGRE) sequence using complex-value based model fitting approach was recently described, in which the phase of the data plays an important role in the accuracy of the fitting results. Thus, influences coming from the undesirable phase components need to be reduced. Targeted for improved MWF mapping, methods to combat these phase related issues which include offset correction, main magnetic field (B<SUB>0</SUB>) inhomogeneity related correction, and flow compensation have been developed. For offset correction, a coil combine method with bipolar readout gradients has been devised. For B<SUB>0</SUB> related artifact, a voxel spread function correction approach along with a navigator echo acquisition was utilized. Finally, flow compensation gradients were used to reduce the effects of flow from regions including the veins. The correction methods led to reduced residual fitting error and improved quality of the resultant MWF maps. Quantitative analysis shows increased reliability when the corrections were used. Data from normal volunteers showed improved MWF mapping with the integrated method developed in this work.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> We have explored a 3D MWF mapping method which accounts for phase related artifacts. </LI> <LI> Complex-valued modeling and complex three-compartment fitting show improved reliability when phase related disturbances are compensated. </LI> <LI> The results will improve the quality of mGRE based MWF mapping in human brain. </LI> </UL> </P>

        보육교사의 개인정보보호 인식 수준에 대한 연구

        본 연구는 보육교사의 개인정보보호 인식 수준에 대한 실태를 확인하기 위하여 수행되었다. 이를 위하여 P시에 소재한 어린이집에서 근무하고 있는 보육교사 964명을 대상으로 설문조사를 수행한 뒤 해당 결과를 분석하였다. 자료의 분석은 SPSS 25.0 ver.을 활용하였다. 분석은 연구대상의 사회인구학적 배경에 따른 개인정보보호의 일반적 경향성, 수준, 수준 차이 등을 확인하였다. 분석은 카이검증을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 보육교사의 개인정보보호 일반적 경향성은 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 보육교사의 개인정보보호 수준을 확인하면 A등급은 전체 인원의 1.3%로 나타났다. 이는 해당 인원만 개인정보보호를 지키고 있다는 것으로 대부분 불합격 상태임을 나타낸다. 셋째, 보육교사의 일반적 배경에 따른 개인정보보호 수준의 차이를 살펴본 결과 연령과 경력이 낮을수록 개인정보보호 수준이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 향후 보육교사의 개인정보보호 인식 증진을 위한 정책 마련과 프로그램 개발의 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이라 기대한다. This study was conducted to confirm the actual status of childcare teachers' privacy consciousness level. To this end, a questionnaire survey was conducted on 964 child care teachers working at day care centers located in P city and the results were analyzed. The data was analyzed using SPSS 25.0 ver. The analysis confirmed the general tendency, level, and level difference of personal information protection according to the socio-demographic background of the study subject. Analysis was performed by chi verification. The research results are as follows. First, it was found that the general tendency of childcare teachers to protect personal information was low. Second, when checking the level of personal information protection of childcare teachers, A grade was found to be 1.3% of the total number of employees. This indicates that only the relevant personnel are protecting personal information, and most of them are disqualified. Third, as a result of examining the difference in the level of personal information protection according to the general background of childcare teachers, the lower the age and experience, the higher the level of personal information protection. The results of this study are expected to be used as basic data for policy preparation and program development to increase awareness of personal information protection of childcare teachers in the future.
