Qiong Tang,Heqin Li,Min Zuo,Jing Zhang,Yiqin Huang,Peiwen Bai,Jiaqi Xu,Kuan Zhou 성균관대학교(자연과학캠퍼스) 성균나노과학기술원 2017 NANO Vol.12 No.2
In order to explore the effect of hierarchical porous carbon on the performances of Li–S batteries, we synthesized three kinds of micro-/meso-/macroporous carbon materials with different pore properties by facile hard-template method. Different from the majority of reports on porous carbon ensuing large specific surface area (SSA) and total pore volume, it was found that in the case of identically high sulfur content, the pore size distribution substantially influences the performances of Li–S batteries rather than the SSA and total pore volume. Furthermore, in the assembly of micro-/meso-/macropores, the micropore volume ratio to the total pore volume is dominant to the capabilities of batteries. Among the samples, the porous carbon carbonized with the precursor of sucrose at 950℃ presents the highest initial discharge specific capacity of 1327 mAh/g and retention of 630 mAh/g over 100 cycles at 0.2C rate along with the best rate capability. This sample possesses the largest micropore volume ratio of 47.54% but a medium SSA of 1217 m2 /g and inferior total pore volume of 0.54 cm3 /g. The abundant micropores effectively improve the conductivity of dispersed sulfur particles, inhibit the loss of sulfur series and enable the cathode to exhibit superior electrochemical performances.

Corona discharge is always a sign of failure processes of high-voltage electrical apparatus, includingthose utilized in electric railway systems. Solar-blind ultraviolet (UV) cameras are effective tools for coronainspection. In this work, we present an automatic railway corona-discharge detection system based on solarblindultraviolet detection. The UV camera, mounted on top of a train, inspects the electrical apparatus, including transmission lines and insulators, along the railway during fast cruising of the train. An algorithmbased on the Hough transform is proposed for distinguishing the emitting objects (corona discharge) fromthe noise. The detection system can report the suspected corona discharge in real time during fast cruises. An experiment was carried out during a routine inspection of railway apparatus in Xinjiang Province, China. Several corona-discharge points were found along the railway. The false-alarm rate was controlled to lessthan one time per hour during this inspection.

The influence of heat treatment (100 °C, 150 °C, 200 °C, 300 °C, and 400 °C) on the structure and the zinc ion storage performance of V2O5·nH2O is explored. The results show that the interlayer water content, interlayer distance, and V4+ content in V2O5·nH2O can be regulated by heat treatment. Electrochemical characterization demonstrates that the as-prepared vanadium pentoxide without heat treatment shows rather poor cycling stability (only 56 m Ah g−1 after 600 cycles at 0.5 A/g). After being heat treated in the temperature range of 100 to 200 °C, the zinc ion storage performance of vanadium pentoxide can be enhanced dramatically. Particularly, the vanadium pentoxide after being heat-treated at 150 °C exhibits the best cycling stability (179 mA h g−1 after 600 cycles at 0.5 A/g), superior high-rate capability (117 mA h g−1 at 3.0 A/g), and faster electrochemical reaction kinetics. The results reported in this work could provide clues for regulating and optimizing the electrochemical performance of vanadium pentoxide as a cathode material for ZIBs.

Objective: The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of dietary choline supplementation on hepatic lipid metabolism and gene expression in finishing pigs with intrauterine growth retardation (IUGR). Methods: Using a $2{\times}2$ factorial design, eight normal birth weight (NBW) and eight IUGR weaned pigs were fed either a basal diet (NBW pigs fed a basal diet, NC; IUGR pigs fed a basal diet, IC) or a diet supplemented with two times more choline than the basal diet (NBW pigs fed a high-choline diet, NH; IUGR pigs fed a high-choline diet, IH) until 200 d of age. Results: The results showed that the IUGR pigs had reduced body weight compared with the NBW pigs (p<0.05 from birth to d 120; p = 0.07 from d 120 to 200). Increased (p<0.05) free fatty acid (FFA) and triglyceride levels were observed in the IUGR pigs compared with the NBW pigs. Choline supplementation decreased (p<0.05) the levels of FFAs and triglycerides in the serum of the pigs. The activities of malate dehydrogenase and glucose 6-phosphate dehydrogenase were both increased (p<0.05) in the livers of the IUGR pigs. Choline supplementation decreased (p<0.05) malate dehydrogenase activity in the liver of the pigs. Gene expression of fatty acid synthase (FAS) was higher (p<0.05) in the IC group than in the other groups, and choline supplementation decreased (p<0.05) FAS and acetyl-CoA carboxylase ${\alpha}$ expression in the livers of the IUGR pigs. The expression of carnitine palmitoyl transferase 1A (CPT1A) was lower (p<0.05) in the IC group than in the other groups, and choline supplementation increased (p<0.05) the expression of CPT1A in the liver of the IUGR pigs and decreased (p<0.01) the expression of hormone-sensitive lipase in both types of pigs. The gene expression of phosphatidylethanolamine N-methyltransferase (PEMT) was higher (p<0.05) in the IC group than in the other groups, and choline supplementation significantly reduced (p<0.05) PEMT expression in the liver of the IUGR pigs. Conclusion: In conclusion, the lipid metabolism was abnormal in IUGR pigs, but the IUGR pigs consuming twice the normal level of choline had improved circulating lipid parameters, which could be related to the decreased activity of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate-generating enzymes or the altered expressions of lipid metabolism-related genes.

Most of the existing studies developed and improved local path planning algorithms independently of global planning, i.e., ignoring the global optimal constrains. To meet the requirements of practical applications, this paper presented an energy-efficient hierarchical collision avoidance algorithm for unmanned surface vehicle operating in clustered dynamic environments. For the global level, genetic algorithm was modified by strategies of greedy-inspired population initialization, penalty-based multiobjective fitness function, and joint crossover. For the local level, velocity obstacle was combined with dynamic window approach to provide the kinematic constraints of the vehicle to its admissible velocities and simplified collision avoidance rules to guide the evasive maneuvers. Simulations showed that the proposed global algorithm was superior to three other algorithms in terms of path length, path smoothness, and convergence speed regardless of the environment size. The performance of the local algorithm was also verified for various encounter scenarios and speed ratios. In addition, the combination of the global and local planning can effectively solve the path optimization and dynamic obstacle avoidance in a designed offshore environment of fish cage culture.

Objective: To compare 5-year disease-free survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS) rates oflaparoscopic radical hysterectomy (LRH) and abdominal radical hysterectomy (ARH) forstage IB1 and tumor size <2 cm with visible or invisible tumors. Methods: We retrospectively compared the oncological outcomes of 1,484 cervical cancerpatients with IB1 and tumor size <2 cm on final pathology, who received ARH (n=899) or LRH(n=585) between January 2004 and December 2016. Patients were divided into visible tumorsubgroup (ARH: n=668, LRH: n=444) and invisible tumor subgroup (ARH: n=231, LRH:n=141) according to tumor type. Results: LRH and ARH showed similar 5-year DFS and OS rates (93.3% vs. 93.1%, p=0.997;96.2% vs. 97.5%, p=0.351) in total study population. LRH was not associated with worse5-year DFS rate (hazard ratio [HR]=0.96; 95% confidence interval [CI]=0.58–1.58; p=0.871)or OS rate (HR=1.37; 95% CI=0.65–2.89; p=0.409) by multivariable analysis. In the visibletumor subgroups, LRH and ARH showed similar 5-year DFS and OS rates (91.9% vs. 91.9%,p=0.933; 95.0% vs. 96.9%, p=0.276), and LRH was not associated with worse 5-year DFS orOS rate (p=0.804, p=0.324). In the invisible tumor subgroups, LRH and ARH also showedsimilar 5-year DFS and OS rates (97.3% vs. 97.1%, p=0.815; 100% vs. 99.5%, p=0.449), andLRH was not associated with worse 5-year DFS rate (p=0.723). Conclusions: Among patients with stage IB1 and tumor size <2 cm, whether the tumor isvisible or not, the oncological outcomes of LRH and ARH among cervical cancer patients arecomparable. This suggests that LRH may be suitable for stage IB1 and tumor size <2 cm withvisible or invisible tumors.Trial Registration: International Clinical Trials Registry Platform Identifier: CHiCTR180017778
Bond Properties of FRP-concrete Interface with Nano-modified Epoxy Resin under Wet-dry Cycles
Yue Li,Xiongfei Liu,Jiaqi Li 대한토목학회 2017 KSCE JOURNAL OF CIVIL ENGINEERING Vol.21 No.4
The interface bonding properties of FRP-reinforced concrete under wet/dry conditions are studied by performing the interface bond test. The effects of the number of wet/dry cycles and FRP layers, and FRP reinforcing sequence on the efficiency of reinforcement are studied. The microstructure of FRP-concrete interface is observed by SEM. The variations in bond properties of FRP-concrete interface under extreme conditions under tension are investigated. Experimental results show at the early stage of wet/ dry cycles, the strengths of concrete and epoxy resin increase, and further interface bond strength enhances. As wet/dry cycles forward, defects and loose microstructure form in both FRP and concrete, and the interface bond strength decreases. Under identical conditions, the interface bond strength of sample strengthened by FRP after wet-dry cycles is higher than that of sample strengthened before wet-dry cycles. FRP-concrete bond strength is related to the number of wet-dry cycles.
