        지적 심상 관점에서 애니메이션 브랜드 로고 표현 요소가 인지, 감정 및 행동의도에 미치는 영향 -박물관과 미술관 브랜드 로고 중심으로-

        브랜드의 성장과 확장은 고정적이고 스태틱 로고에서 역동적인 애니메이션 브랜드 아이덴티티로의 전환을 이끌어냈다. 본 연구에서는 박물관ㆍ미술관의 브랜드로고가 스태틱 로고와 애니메이션 로고의 형태로 브랜드 로고의 표현 요소가 지적 심상에 미치는 영향, 소비자들에게 긍정적인 감점에 대한 일으킬 방응, 행동의도에 미치는 영향에 대해 실증적으로 검증하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 본 연구는 문헌연구를 통해 애니메이션 로고의 디자인 및 움직임 요소, 지적 심상, 소비자 감정 및 행동 의도에 대한 개념 및 이론을 살펴본다. 또한 박물관 애니메이션 브랜드 로고 사례를 수집하고 디자인요소 및 움직임요소를 도출하여 샘플을 제작하여 설문조사를 통해서 스태틱 및 애니메이션 로고 표현 요소가 소비자 지적 심상, 긍정적인 감정, 행동의도에 대해 미치는 영향을 비교 분석하고자 한다. 결과적으로 소비자가 static로고보다 animated로고에 대한 지적 심상(정교함, 품질) 요소별 더 많다는 결과가 나온다. 모든 박물관 브랜드 스태틱 및 animated 로고가 지적 심상의 품질이 긍정적인 감정 및 행동 의도에 대한 유의미한 영향을 미친다. 또한 모두 static로고보다 animated logo가 긍정적인 감정은 행동의 의도에 대한 미치는 영향력이 더 많음을 알 수 있다. 본 연구는 결과의 토대로 스태틱과 animated 브랜드 아이덴티티의 표현 특성을 통해 박물관ㆍ미술관 animated 브랜드 로고 디자인의 전략을 제안하는 데 도움이 될 것이라 판단된다. The growth and expansion of the brand has led to a transition from a static logo to animated brand identity. The purpose of this study is to empirically verify the effect of the design elements of museums and art galleries’ animated and static brand logos on mental imagery, responses to positive emotions for consumers, and effects on behavioral intentions. Through literature research, we explore the definitions and theories about the design and movement elements of animated logos, mental imagery, consumer emotions, and behavioral intentions. In addition, we collect examples of museum animated brand logo cases, derive design elements and motion elements, produce samples to compare and analyze the impact of static and animated logo expression elements on consumer mental imagery, positive emotions, and behavioral intentions. The result is that consumers have more mental imagery (Elaboration, quality) for animated logos than static logos. For all museum brand static and animated logos, the quality of mental imagery has a significant influence on positive emotions and behavioral intentions. In addition, it can be seen that the positive emotion of the animated logo has more influence on the behavioral intention than the static logo. Based on the results, this study is considered to be helpful in proposing a strategy for designing animated brand logos for museums and art galleries through the expressive characteristics of static and animated brand identity.

        An energy-efficient hierarchical algorithm of dynamic obstacle avoidance for unmanned surface vehicle

        Most of the existing studies developed and improved local path planning algorithms independently of global planning, i.e., ignoring the global optimal constrains. To meet the requirements of practical applications, this paper presented an energy-efficient hierarchical collision avoidance algorithm for unmanned surface vehicle operating in clustered dynamic environments. For the global level, genetic algorithm was modified by strategies of greedy-inspired population initialization, penalty-based multiobjective fitness function, and joint crossover. For the local level, velocity obstacle was combined with dynamic window approach to provide the kinematic constraints of the vehicle to its admissible velocities and simplified collision avoidance rules to guide the evasive maneuvers. Simulations showed that the proposed global algorithm was superior to three other algorithms in terms of path length, path smoothness, and convergence speed regardless of the environment size. The performance of the local algorithm was also verified for various encounter scenarios and speed ratios. In addition, the combination of the global and local planning can effectively solve the path optimization and dynamic obstacle avoidance in a designed offshore environment of fish cage culture.

        Seafloor terrain detection from acoustic images utilizing the fast two-dimensional CMLD-CFAR

        In order to solve the problem of false terrains caused by environmental interferences and tunneling effect in the conventional multi-beam seafloor terrain detection, this paper proposed a seafloor topography detection method based on fast two-dimensional (2D) Censored Mean Level Detector-statistics Constant False Alarm Rate (CMLD-CFAR) method. The proposed method uses s cross-sliding window. The target occlusion phenomenon that occurs in multi-target environments can be eliminated by censoring some of the large cells of the reference cells, while the remaining reference cells are used to calculate the local threshold. The conventional 2D CMLD-CFAR methods need to estimate the background clutter power level for every pixel, thus increasing the computational burden significantly. In order to overcome this limitation, the proposed method uses a fast algorithm to select the Regions of Interest (ROI) based on a global threshold, while the rest pixels are distinguished as clutter directly. The proposed method is verified by experiments with real multi-beam data. The results show that the proposed method can effectively solve the problem of false terrain in a multi-beam terrain survey and achieve a high detection accuracy.

        Experimental studies on the aerodynamic performance of two box girders with side openings

        A butterfly web girder is a box-shaped girder with discretely distributed side openings along the spanwise direction. Until now, there have been few studies related to the aerodynamic performance of the butterfly web bridge. The objective of the current study was to clarify the effects of the side openings on the aerodynamic performance of the girder. Two butterfly web girders with side ratios B/D = 3.24 and 5, where B is the girder width and D is the depth, were examined through a series of wind tunnel tests. A comparison of the results for butterfly web girders and conventional box girders of the same shape confirmed that the side openings stabilized the vortex-induced vibration and galloping when B/D = 3.24, whereas the vortex-induced vibration and torsional flutter were stabilized when B/D = 5. The change in the flow field due to the side openings contributed to the stabilization against the vibration. These findings not only confirmed the good aerodynamic performance of the butterfly web bridge but also provided a new method to stabilize the box girder against aerodynamic instabilities via discretely distributed side openings.

        Bioelectrochemical performance of microbial fuel cell powered electro-Fenton system (MFCⓅEFs) with composite PANI-Mn/CF anode

        Microbial fuel cell powered electro-Fenton system (MFCⓅEFs) is a self-sustainable energy conversion process to degrade refractory pollutants utilizing green biomass energy. Most previous works usually employed innovative cathode to minimize electron transfer losses but neglected the development of high-efficiency anode to enhance electron generation. The synergy of polyaniline (PANI) and MnO2 on electrode could improve charge accessibility and facilitate rapid electron transfer due to its superior conductivity and capacitance, which had not been applied to MFCⓅEFs as anode so far. In this study, a PANI-Mn/CF (carbon fiber loaded with polyaniline and MnO2) composite anode was introduced into MFCⓅEFs to enhance interface activity and realize more efficient electricity generation and pollutant degradation. Experimental results showed that a higher power density (5.49 times that of the original CF) and lower ohmic resistance (7.17 Ω) occurred in the MFCⓅEFs with PANI-Mn/CF anode, which consumed more sewage sludge (37.14% of TCOD removal), leading to achieving more effective pollutant degradation (93.03% of tetracycline hydrochloride removal). Overall, this study provided an innovative way of thinking and approach to efficient utilization of biomass waste and degradation of refractory pollutants with the merits of environmental sustainability.

        Prediction of Undisturbed Clay Rebound Index Based on Soil Microstructure Parameters and PSO-SVM Model

        The rebound index Cr is an important design parameter in engineering construction, and its determination is cumbersome and susceptible to errors. Explaining the macroscopic rebound characteristic parameter Cr from the perspective of microscopic mechanism is an important research area that is addressed in this study. In this paper, the different soil parameters, including the Cr parameter and the physical parameters (void ratio e, liquid limit water contentwL, and plasticity index Ip), have been determined through experiments for the undisturbed clay of Chongming East Shoal (CES), Shanghai. Further, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) imaging was used to analyze the microstructural features. Through SEM, the grey correlation degree, the average abundance of structural units ACp and the average equivalent diameter of pores ADv were determined as the soil microstructure parameters with the most significant correlation with Cr. The predictive analysis model of Cr was then carried out combined with the PSO-SVM algorithm. In order to evaluate the influence of microscopic parameters of soil on the prediction accuracy, four sets of input parameter combinations were used. The results indicate the high prediction accuracy of the developed model. Sensitivity analysis was also carried out, which showed that the sensitivity of Cr to ACp and ADv was significantly lower than e; however, the difference from wL and Ip was small, indicating that it is imperative to consider microscopic parameters while predicting Cr. This study, thus, provides a basis and method for predicting the rebound index of soil from the microstructure perspective.

        The rationale and potential for using Lactobacillus in the management of periodontitis

        Periodontitis refers to a wide range of the inflammatory conditions of supporting dental structures. For some patients with periodontitis, antibacterial agents are needed as an adjuvant to mechanical debridement treatments and oral hygiene maintenance. However, the widespread use of broad-spectrum antibiotics for the prophylaxis and treatment of periodontal infections results in the emergence of resistant pathogens. Therefore, probiotics have become markedly interesting to researchers as a potentially safe alternative to periodontal treatment and maintenance. Probiotics have been used in medicine for decades and extensively applied to the treatment of inflammatory diseases through the modulation of microbial synergy and other mechanisms. A growing amount of evidence has shown that using Lactobacillus strains for oral cavity maintenance could improve periodontal health. In this study, we reviewed studies showing proof of the inhibitory effects of Lactobacillus species on periodontal inflammation. We also explored the rationale and potential for using Lactobacillus species in the management of periodontitis.
