        Objective: This study was designed to estimate the frequency and risk factor for edenomyosis Methods: The clinical records of 623 women undergoing hysterectomy were retrieved in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Soonchunhyang University Hospital, during 5 years, from Jan. 1995 to Dec. 1999. Results: The following result were obtained. 1. Adenomyosis was found in 247 of 623 patients(39.6%) 2. The highest incidence was 40-49 years of age group, an incidence of 46.6% and mean age was 44.7 years. 3. Adenomyosis was more frequently observed in parous women than non-parous women, such as 93.1% and 6.9%, respectively. 4. Dysmenorrhea, metrorrhagia, pelvic pain and vaginal bleeding were common symptom of adenomyosis, an incidence of 28.7%, 19.0%, 18.2% and 16.2%, respectively. 5. Myoma was the most combined disease in adenomyosis, showing the incidence of 54.7%. 6. Grossly, the size of uterus was enlarged more than 10 weeks gestational size in adenomyosis, an incidence of 61.9%. 7. Preoperative diagnostic accuracy of adenomyosis was 6.9%. Conclusion: The results show that deeply understanding of the common symptoms and epidemiology of adenomyosis improve the preoperative diagnostic accuracy.

        Universal Efficiency Improvement in Organic Solar Cells Based on a Poly(3‐hexylthiophene) Donor and an Indene‐C<sub>60</sub> Bisadduct Acceptor with Additional Donor Nanowires

        <P>With poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) nanowire (NW) inclusion in active layers (ALs), organic solar cells (OSCs) based on P3HT donor and indene-C-60 bisadduct (ICBA) acceptor showed power conversion efficiency (PCE) improvements for both bulk heterojunction (BHJ)- and bilayer (BL)-structure AL devices. The PCE increase was approximately 14% for both types of P3HT:ICBA OSCs. However, improvements in short-circuit current density (J(sc)) were about 4.4 and 6.4% for BHJ- and BL-type AL devices, respectively. A systematic study showed that the addition of P3HT NWs did not result in enhanced internal quantum efficiencies for either type of device. However, the difference in light-harvesting efficiency was important in accounting for J(sc) variations. Interestingly, there was no correlation between J(sc) and PCE variations, whereas the open-circuit voltage (V-oc) and fill factor (FF) showed correlations with the PCE. The variation in FF is discussed in terms of V-oc and equivalent-circuit parameters based on a nonideal diode model.</P>

        Changes in the Fatty Acid Composition of Phospholipid in the Dried and Salted Mullet Roe during Processing and Storaging

        염건 숭어알을 10% 염농도의 간장에 침지하고 1.2㎝ 두께로 압착하여 20℃에서 3m/seC 풍속으로 음건하여 제조하였다. 제품의 지질을 중성지질, 당지질 및 인지질로 분획하고 유리인지질은 9.3㎎/100㎎, 결합인지질은 13.0㎎/100㎎함유하였으며 가공과 저장중에 빠른 속도로 감소하였다. 인지질을 구성하는 주요 지방산은 C_(16:0), C_(20:0), C_(16:1), C_(18:2)와 C_(20:5)였으며, 이들 지방산의 함량은 6.64㎎/100㎎으로 총인지질 지방산의 72%를 점유했다. 불포화도는 유리 인지질에서 1.53이었고 결합 인지질에서는 0.34로 낮았다. 그러나 결합 인지질의 불포화도는 신선할 때는 1.04이었고 6주후에는 0에 가깝고, 필수지방산도 3.85㎎/100㎎으로 전체 필수지방산의 75% 정도이었으나 가공중에 거의 파괴되었다. Mullet roe was salted and dried by the conventional processing method. Mullet roe was first salted with soybean sauce containing 10% NaCl and then pressed down to be a 1.2㎝ of thickness. It was dried at 20℃ under 3m/sec of aeration for 20 days. The lipids of the processed roe were fractionated by free and bound phospholipids. The contents of free and bound phospholipids were 9.30㎎/100㎎ and 13.0㎎/100㎎ respectively. The content of bound lipids were rapidly decreased than that of free fatty acids during processing and storaging. The major fatty acids of phospholipids were C_(16:0), C_(20:0), C_(16:1), C_(18:2) and C_(20:5), whose contents were 6.64㎎/100㎎ that occupied 72% of the total phospholipids. The ratio for the unsaturated fatty acids to the saturated ones of free phospholipids in fresh roe was 1.53 and it was decreased down to 0.34 in 9 weeks of storage. But the ratio of bound phospholipids was 1.04 of fresh roe and zero in 6 weeks. The content of essential fatty acids in bound phospholipids was 3.85㎎/100㎎ occupying 75% of total essential fatty acids of the fresh roe, but they were totally destroyed during processing.

      • 효율적인 테스트 알고리즘을 이용한 메모리의 고장과 결함 검출 가능한 Built-In Self Test 회로의 설계

        In memory testing, fault coverage and testing time should be considered. The exhaustive memory testing is not very practical because enormous testing time is required. The optimal solution of this problem is to maximize fault coverage and to minimize complexity of testing algorithm. In this paper, resistive shorts on drain-source, drain-gate, and gate-source caused by spot defects or gate oxide shorts in MOS FET are considered. Behavior of memory is observed by analyzing voltage at storage nodes of memory and IDDQ (quiescent power supply current) through PSPICE simulation. Using this behavioral analysis, a new effective testing algorithm of complexity O(N) which can be applied to both functional testing and IDDQ testing simultaneously is proposed. By using new effective test algorithm, Built-In self test(BIST) circuit which is used for testing fault and defect of the memories are developed and implemented to improve the quality and efficiency.

        CREATING A MODEL OF COLLEGE STUDENTS' REVISIT INTENTION FORMATION IN THE THEME PARK INDUSTRY

        이 연구의 목적은 테마파크 산업에서 대학생 고객들의 재방문 의도 형성을 설명하는 구조모델을 도출하는 것이다. 문헌분석을 통해서, 재방문 의도에 영향을 주는 여섯가지 선행변수들을 도출하였다: 인지도, 이미지, 지각된 품질, 만족도, 감정적 신뢰도, 지각된 가격 공정성. 이들 개념적 변수들의 이론적인 인과관계를 고찰하여 16개의 가설들을 도출하였으며, 구조모델이 탄생되었다. 이 구조모델은 테마파크를 방문한 경험이 있는 미국 대학생들로부터 수거된 데이터 로 검증되었다. 데이터 분석에 의하면, 테마파크의 인지도와 이미지는 대학생 방문객들이 테마파크의 객관적인 질을 평가할 때 유의하게 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났으며, 이는 곧 재방문 의도로 귀결된다는 것이 밝혀졌다. 또한 만족도, 가격공정성, 그리고 감정적 신뢰도는 직/간접적으로 재방문 의도에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 더욱 중요한 것은, 이 과정에서 테마파크까지의 인지거리가 조절변수의 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 데이터 분석 결과를 바탕으로 하여 실무적 시사점들이 논의되었다. The purpose of this research was to create a model cf college students' revisit intention formation in the theme park industry. Based on a literature review, six theoretical constructs influencing revisiting intention were derived: brand awareness, brand image, perceived qualify, satisfaction, affective commitment, and perceived price fairness. The existing theoretical background support causal relationships between the concepts, thus deriving 16 hypotheses. The hypotheses were tested using the data collected from actual colleges students in United States. Data analysis revealed tint awareness and image about the theme park influences college students' perceived qualify about the theme park, thus inducing revisit intentions. Moreover, satisfaction, perceived price fairness, and affective commitment has direct/indirect influences on revisit intentions. During this process, distance played a moderating role in the relationship between perceived price fairness and revisit intention. This indicates that students' develop strong bonds with theme parks which overcome distance in matters of affection and satisfaction, but price, being a less emotional factor, is less affected. Key practical implications for theme park companies are discussed.

        Selective Uterine Artery Embolization for Management of Interstitial Ectopic Pregnancy

        Interstitial ectopic pregnancy is a rare condition of pregnancy and may be very dangerous if not identified and treated urgently. We report a case of successful treatment of an interstitial pregnancy using selective uterine artery embolization. A 27-year-old woman with interstitial pregnancy was treated by uterine artery embolization after failure of systemic methotrexate treatment. Her serum betahuman chorionic gonadotropin ( -hCG) was undetectable one month after the therapeutic embolization and transvaginal sonography 31 days after embolization showed normal endometrium and cornu. The patient achieved a normal pregnancy eight months after embolization.

      • A Ratiometric Two-Photon Fluorescent Probe Reveals Reduction in Mitochondrial H<sub>2</sub>S Production in Parkinson’s Disease Gene Knockout Astrocytes

        <P>Hydrogen sulfide (H<SUB>2</SUB>S) is a multifunctional signaling molecule that exerts neuroprotective effects in oxidative stress. In this article, we report a mitochondria-localized two-photon probe, SHS-M2, that can be excited by 750 nm femtosecond pulses and employed for ratiometric detection of H<SUB>2</SUB>S in live astrocytes and living brain slices using two-photon microscopy (TPM). SHS-M2 shows bright two-photon-excited fluorescence and a marked change in emission color from blue to yellow in response to H<SUB>2</SUB>S, low cytotoxicity, easy loading, and minimum interference from other biologically relevant species including reactive sulfur, oxygen, and nitrogen species, thereby allowing quantitative analysis of H<SUB>2</SUB>S levels. Molecular TPM imaging with SHS-M2 in astrocytes revealed that there is a correlation between the ratiometric analysis and expression levels of cystathionine β-synthase (CBS), the major enzyme that catalyzes H<SUB>2</SUB>S production. In studies involving DJ-1, a Parkinson’s disease (PD) gene, attenuated H<SUB>2</SUB>S production in comparison with wild-type controls was observed in DJ-1-knockout astrocytes and brain slices, where CBS expression was decreased.       • Prothrombin kringle-2 induces death of mesencephalic dopaminergic neurons in vivo and in vitro via microglial activation

        <P>We have shown that prothrombin kringle-2 (pKr-2), a domain of human prothrombin distinct from thrombin could activate cultured rat brain microglia in vitro. However, little is known whether pKr-2-induced microglial activation could cause neurotoxicity on dopaminergic (DA) neurons in vivo. To address this question, pKr-2 was injected into the rat substantia nigra (SN). Tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) immunohistochemistry experiments demonstrate significant loss of DA neurons seven days after injection of pKr-2. In parallel, pKr-2-activated microglia were detected in the SN with OX-42 and OX-6 immunohistochemistry. Reverse transcription PCR and double-label immunohistochemistry revealed that activated microglia in vivo exhibit early and transient expression of inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS), cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) and several proinflammatory cytokines. The pKr-2-induced loss of SN DA neurons was partially inhibited by the NOS inhibitor N<SUP>G</SUP>-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester hydrochloride, and the COX-2 inhibitor DuP-697. Extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1/2, c-Jun N-terminal kinase and p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase were activated in the SN as early as 1 hr after pKr-2 injection, and localized within microglia. Inhibition of these kinases led to attenuation of mRNA expression of iNOS, COX-2 and several proinflammatory cytokines, and rescue of DA neurons in the SN. Intriguingly, following treatment with pKr-2 in vitro, neurotoxicity was detected exclusively in co-cultures of mesencephalic neurons and microglia, but not microglia-free neuron-enriched mesencephalic cultures, indicating that microglia are required for pKr-2 neurotoxicity. Our results strongly suggest that microglia activated by endogenous compound(s), such as pKr-2, are implicated in the DA neuronal cell death in the SN. © 2009 Wiley-Liss, Inc.</P>

        Improvement of Electrical and Thermal Characteristics of Nano-Micro Epoxy Composite

        Polymer nanocomposite has been attracting more attention as a new insulation material because homogeneous dispersion of nano-sized inorganic fillers can improve various properties significantly. In this paper, various kinds of epoxy-based nanocomposites were made, and the AC breakdown strengths of Nano filler and micro-$SiO_2$ filler mixtures of epoxy-based composites were analyzed using sphere-to-sphere electrodes. Moreover, nano- and microfiller combinations were investigated as an approach to practical application of nanocomposite insulation materials. Its composition ratio was 100 (resin):82 (hardener):1.5 (accelerator). AC breakdown tests were performed at room temperature ($25^{\circ}C$), $80^{\circ}C$, and $100^{\circ}C$ in the vicinity of $T_g$ ($90^{\circ}C$). Thermal conductivity was measured using TC-30.

        절연파괴강도에 대한 검토는 송전용량의 증대 및 초고압화가 가속됨에 따라 고전계하에서의 장기적인 절연성능을 좌우하는 중요한 요소이며 절연열화 현상을 진단하는 방법으로도 이용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 송전급 HYDC용 나노복합 XLPE와 LDPE 절연재료 및 케이블 평가기술 개발의 기초연구로써 XLPE와 LDPE의 나노첨가제가 혼합된 복합 XLPE와 LDPE의 시편에 대하여 직류 절연파괴 강도 및 극성반전 파괴강도 측정 실험을 상온과 최고사용 온도인 90 ℃에서 측정하였다. 측정 후 취득한 데이터는 와이블 분포법을 이용하여 분석하였다.
