국립공원 내 공중화장실에 대한 탐방객 인식에 관한 연구 : 지리산국립공원을 중심으로

본 연구는 공원 내 공중화장실에 대한 탐방객의 인식이 만족도에 미치는 영향을 규명하고자 수행하였다. 현지 설문조사는 지리산국립공원의 성삼재와 중산리 일원을 방문한 탐방객 292명을 대상으로 이루어졌다. 분석결과, 공중화장실의 관리상태, 외관, 디자인 요인 모두 탐방객의 공중화장실 이용 만족에 영향을 주는 것으로 분석되었으며, 그 중 관리상태가 가장 큰 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 탐방객의 인식과 만족을 향상시키기 위해서는 공중화장실의 청결한 관리 및 유지, 악취 방지, 소모품의 원활한 공급 등에 우선순위를 두어 집중적으로 관리할 필요가 있는 것으로 나타났다. This study conducts to investigate the relationship between visitors’ perception and satisfaction. Data of 292 visitors were collected from Seongsamjae and Jungsanri in Jirisan National Park. The results showed that maintenance, outlook and design of public toilet are positively related to visitors’ satisfaction. One of the major research findings is that the maintenance of public toilet most affects visitors’ satisfaction. Therefore, the park managers need to put great emphasis on the cleanliness and maintenance, preventing stinks, consumable supplies of public toilet in order to enhance visitors’ perception and satisfaction.
골격근 근형질세망의 ATPase활성도에 대한 Vanillylnonanamide의 영향

To investigate the effect of vanillylnonanamide(VN) on the ATPase activity of the sarcoplasmic reticulum(SR) of the skeletal muscle, we prepared the SR vesicles from the back muscle of the rabbit, and measured ATPase activity. The results as follows: Ca-ATPase activity was about 50% in the total ATPase activity of skeletal muscular SR. In the reaction mixture with calcium, 100μM VN increased ATPase activity to 20%, and 100 nM and 10 μM thapsigargin(THP) inhibited the ATPase activity to 50% and 60%, respectively. And 100 μM VN plus 100 nM or 10 μM THP more inhibited ATPase activity than THP alone did it. However, without calcium, 100μM VN did not affect ATPase activity, and 10 μM THP inhibited it to 41%, but VN plus THP inhibited it to 31%. The above results show that VN in the reaction mixture with or without calcium has the different action to ATPase activity when it is used alone or together with Ca-ATPase inhibitor THP. This suggests that VN might increase or decrease the skeletal SR Ca-ATPase activity through affecting the lipid membrane around the Ca-ATPase.

This study was conducted to evaluate the blood lead levels in 141 pregnant women who were not occupationally exposed to lead and their umbilical cord, and to identify some differences in blood lead levels by living area. The subjects were all delivered at St. Benedict Hospital in Pusan and the blood lead levels were measured by graphite furance atomic absorption spectrophotometer. The summarized results were as follows. 1. The geometric mean lead levels in maternal and cord blood were 8.0±1.8μg/dl, 5.0±0.6μg/dl respectively. 2. Lead levels in maternal(8.7±1.7μg/dl) and cord blood(5.4μ±0.7μg/dl) of industrial area(n=24) were higher than residential area(n=124) which were 7.9±1.7μg/dl and 5.0±0.6μg/dl respectively(p<0.05). 3. Maternal blood lead concentration was significantly correlated to cord blood lead concentration(r=0.6090, p<0.001), but other variables(maternal age, paternal smoking, birth weight, etc) were not correlated.

Background and Objectives: The aim of the study was to identify the factors associated with life satisfaction of hospitalized Vietnam veterans. Material and Methods: The data were collected from 200 hospitalized Vietnam veterans of 5 veterans hospitals in Korea from September 13 to 23, 2004. Information of general characteristics, health behavior, disease history, family function, depression and life satisfaction were collected by structured questionnaire. Results: The mean of life satisfaction was 21.48(±6.03), and the mean of depression was 53.10(±9.64). The prevalence of depression was mild depression 24.0%, moderate depression 43.5% and severe depression 25.0%. Depression was associated with life satisfaction and depression was higher, life satisfaction was lower. Family function and age were positively associated with life satisfaction, Conclusion: Life satisfaction was affected by depression and family function in hospitalized Vietnam veterans. Therefore, it was thought that psychosocial approaches such as improve depression and family function in care of hospitalized Vietnam veterans is required.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the anxiety of inpatients in a general hospital in Daejeon. Data were collected through self-reported questionaires from January, 2003 to February, 2003, The anxiety was measured by Zung's Self-Rating Anxiety Scale. Analysis of data was done was descriptive statistics, t-test ANOVA and factor analysis. The results of the study were as follows : (1) The average score for the level of anxiety was 37.75±8.44 point (2) The anxiety items, such as sweating. apprehension, dyspnea, insomnia and restlessness showed the high score in inpatient. (3) Anxiety showed significant difference by education level(p<0.01), duration of hospitasization (p<0.01), prognosis(p(0.05), ward(medical/surgical) (p{0.05), experienc of admission (p<0.05). (4) According to the factor analysis, four factors of sweating, apprehension, dyspnea and restlessness showed high score in inpatient. Inpatient's anxiety characteristically showed more somatic symptoms than affective symptoms.
폴리우레탄을 이용한 Thiobacillus sp. IW의 고정화

The immobilization of Thiobacillus sp. IW, the hydrogen sulfide removing bacterium, was studied by using the adsorption and physical capture methods. In the case of immobilization by the adsorption, the type, size, and amount of polyurethane foam were affected by the cell immobilization capacity of supporter. Among supporters, MC-70 was better immobilizing material. The optimum size and amount of polyurethane foam were 5∼8mm and 8g/L, respectively. In the case of immobilization by the physical capture, polyurethane foam could be prepared with the same ratio of modified MDI prepolymer, polyol, and medium with better condition. The optimum size and amount of polyurethane foam were 6∼7mm and 8g/L, respectively. Considering the cell immobilization capacity, the immobilization by physical capture was more effective than the immobilization by adsorption. The immobilization intensity by adsorption was 85% after shaking for 24hrs, whereas the immobilization by physical capture was 92% under the same condit

Background/Aims: A common feature of cancer cell is the abrogation of cell cycle checkpoints, either by the aberrant positive regulation or the loss of negative regulation. We investigated differential expression of cell cycle-related genes in pancreatic cancer (PC) and normal pancreas (NP) by comparing gene expression profile. Methods: cDNA was prepared from 25 samples of PC adenocarcinoma and 20 samples of NP. Affymetrix Human Genome U95 GenChip set was used. Overexpressed or downexpressed genes at least threefold (P<0.001) in PC were identified, compared with those in NP. From these genes, cell cycle-related genes were identified by gene ontology. For validation, two genes were selected and their expressions were tested in 3 samples of PC and NP by polymerase chain reaction (PCR), Western blot and in 7 samples of PC and NP by immunohistochemistry (IHC). Tissue microarray (TMA) from 36 samples of PC was conducted to assess association between gene expression and histologic data. Results: cDNA microarray revealed 857 overexpressed genes and 914 underexpressed genes in PC, compared with NP. Of these genes, 37 overexpressed genes and 32 under-expressed genes were found to be related to cell cycle in PC. For verification, dynein and clusterin were selected. mRNA and protein of dynein and clusterin was found to be overexpressed and underexpressed, respectively, in PC compared with NP through PCR and western blot. In IHC, dynein was expressed in 5 (71.4%) of 7 samples of PC and 1 (14.3%) of 7 samples of NP (P=0.031), whereas clusterin was not expressed in stroma of PC but it expressed in stroma of all samples of NP. In TMA of PC, dynein expression intensity was not significantly associated with TNM stage and differentiation of PC. Conclusions: We have identified 69 differentially expressed genes related to cell cycle though cDNA microarray in PC. Of these genes, differential expressions of dynein and clusterin were validated by other three methods. These finding may provide important information on cell cycle in PC.

AGenome-wide association studies (GWAS) have proven a useful technique for identifying genetic loci responsible for natural variation in rice. With the fast developed next-generation sequencing technology, it is possible for people to carry out GWAS by phenotyping different traits. However, how to make full use of huge data, abandon unnecessary data, and solve the problem of data application effectively seems still an obstacle for many researchers. Taking the case of whole-genome resequencing of Korean authentic rice core set, here we present a general technological path of GWAS including: 1) a schematic view of sequencing-based GWAS in rice; 2) a user-friendly and interactive web application for GWAS in rice by the aid of experience from Arabidopsis; 3) Haplotype and association analysis of candidate genes in a certain mechanism pathway, giving 10 starch synthesis genes as example; and 4) functional validation by Trans- and Mata-Omics analysis.
