To measure atmospheric temperature, water vapor, and aerosol simultaneously, an efficient multi-function Raman lidar using an ultraviolet-wavelength laser has been developed. A high-performance spectroscopic box that utilizes multicavity interference filters, mounted sequentially at small angles of incidence, is used to separate the lidar return signals at different wavelengths, and to extract the signals with high efficiency. The external experiments are carried out for simultaneous detection of atmospheric temperature, water vapor, and aerosol extinction coefficient in Beijing, under clear and hazy weather conditions. The vertical profiles of temperature, water vapor, and aerosol extinction coefficient are analyzed. The results show that for an integration time of 5 min and laser energy of 200 mJ, the mean deviation between measurements obtained by lidar and radiosonde is small, and the overall trend is similar. The statistical temperature error for nighttime is below 1 K up to a height of 6.2 km under clear weather conditions, and up to a height of 2.5 km under slightly hazy weather conditions, with 5 min of observation time. An effective range for simultaneous detection of temperature and water vapor of up to 10 km is achieved. The temperature-inversion layer is found in the low troposphere. Continuous observations verify the reliability of Raman lidar to achieve real-time measurement of atmospheric parameters in the troposphere.
Effect of MUC1 siRNA on Drug Resistance of Gastric Cancer Cells to Trastuzumab
Deng, Min,Jing, Da-Dao,Meng, Xiang-Jun Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2013 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.14 No.1
Trastuzumab is the first molecular targeting drug to increase the overall survival rate in advanced gastric cancer. However, it has also been found that a high intrinsic or primary trastuzumab resistance exists in some proportion of gastric cancer patients. In order to explore the mechanism of resistance to trastuzumab, firstly we investigated the expression of MUC1 (membrane-type mucin 1) in gastric cancer cells and its relationship with drug-resistance. Then using gene-silencing, we transfected a siRNA of MUC1 into drug-resistant cells. The results showed the MKN45 gastric cell line to be resistant to trastuzumab, mRNA and protein expression of MUC1 being significantly upregulated. After transfection of MUC1 siRNA, protein expression of MUC1 in MKN45cells was significantly reduced. Compared with the junk transfection and blank control groups, the sensitivity to trastuzumab under MUC1 siRNA conditions was significantly increased. These results imply that HER2-positive gastric cancer cell MKN45 is resistant to trastuzumab and this resistance can be cancelled by silencing expression of the MUC1 gene.

Based on the optimized three-step search algorithm. Combining threshold judgment as well as local full search, a more efficient motion estimation algorithm is proposed. The algorithm not only inherited the traditional three-step algorithm’s quick speed but also kept the advantages of a relatively small amount of calculation, besides it can avoid the local optimum problem in the three-step search algorithm (TSS). In addition, the algorithm combined with the threshold judgment and local full search algorithm, so it also maintains satisfactory visual quality. Comparing the algorithm with TSS and local full search algorithm (LFS). The algorithm has great performance in search points and peak signal-to-noise ratio. Experimental results show that compared with LFS, search points drop by 34.61% ~ 54.47% .While compared with the TSS, the search points only rise by 6.15% ~ 12.21%. The average PSNR of proposed Algorithm is 0.24dB higher than LFS and 3.30dB higher than TSS.
Optimization of the NPK Ratio for Vegetative Growth in Aeschynanthus longicaulis
Min Deng,Qiansheng Li 한국원예학회 2022 원예과학기술지 Vol.40 No.6
Aeschynanthus longicaulis is a gesneriad that can be grown as a hanging basket or indoor pot plant. Fertilization practice is rarely researched in relation to the genus Aeschynanthus cultivation. This pot experiment is conducted on soilless media to optimize the best NPK ratio for the vegetative growth of A. longicaulis. Four fertilization levels (0, 1, 2, 3) were established for three factors of N, P, and K with 14 fertilizer treatments (“3414” fertilizer experiment design). The relationships between nutrient levels, plant growth, and tissue nutrient concentration were investigated. The results showed that increasing the NPK application concentration significantly improved plant growth. However, N had a more significant influence on the shoot growth and root/shoot ratio than P and K. The NPK ratio 3-1-2 is recommended for A. longicaulis vegetative growth on soilless media.

Ascocarps of some species of the genus Cordyceps have long been used as a traditional medicine and food source for promoting human health. The compound cordycepin, isolated from C. militaris ascocarps (CE), show similar health effects to CE. In this study, we investigated and compared the anti-obesity and antidiabetic effects of dietary CE and Paecilomyces tenuipes ascocarps (PE) in mice. In addition, we investigated their effects on the expression of genes related to the regulation of obesity and diabetes. We found that dietary CE and PE suppressed body weight gain and fat accumulation in the liver and adipocyte tissues of mice fed a high-fat diet (HFD). Enzyme and lipid profiles induced by HFD returned to normal with CE or PE treatment. Dietary CE or PE reduced fasting blood glucose and serum insulin levels in HFD-fed mice. Finally, we show that CE and PE treatment restored to normal the hyperlipidemia- and hyperglycemia-related gene expressions in HFD-fed mice. These results indicate that dietary CE or PE exert their anti-obesity and antidiabetic effects by regulating adipogenesis and insulin signaling pathways. Finally, we show that dietary CE or PE have similar anti-obesity and antidiabetic effects even when included in a normal mouse diet. Although cordycepin is not found in PE, PE treatment improves lipid and glucose metabolic parameters in a manner similar to CE. We find that PE provides alternative potential therapeutic treatments for obesity and diabetes.

<P>It is expected that the market dominance of lithium-ion batteries will continue for at least another decade as there are currently no competing alternatives with the versatility of lithium-ion batteries for powering mobile and portable devices; and for buffering the fluctuating supply of intermittent energy sources such as wind and solar. While the pursuit of higher energy density and higher power density materials constitute the bulk of current interest, there is increasing interest in durable active battery materials that can be produced with minimum environmental impact. It is with these considerations that TiO2- and Sn-based anode materials are most interesting candidates for fulfilling future green energy storage materials. This review will focus on the recent developments of nanostructured TiO2 and Sn-based anode materials, including rutile, anatase, TiO2 (B), and coated TiO2, and pristine SnO2, and SnO2/C, Sn(M)/C composites.</P> <P>Graphic Abstract</P><P>Recent advances in the synthesis and storage of lithium ions in nanostructured TiO2 and Sn-based anode materials for lithium ion batteries is reviewed, and an outlook on future developments presented. <IMG SRC='http://pubs.rsc.org/services/images/RSCpubs.ePlatform.Service.FreeContent.ImageService.svc/ImageService/image/GA?id=b823474d'> </P>
A Study on Parents' View of the Augmented Reality Card Use for Pr e-School Education
Deng, Qianrong,Cho, Dong-min Korea Multimedia Society 2021 멀티미디어학회논문지 Vol.24 No.6
Parents' influence on children's development is generally considered essential. This paper attempts to explore the role of AR in preschool education from the perspective of parents, aiming to help parents better understand the impact of children's use of augmented reality in preschool education. The subjects were parents of children in the preschool age range (3-6 years old), and the experimental equipment was AR cognitive cards. In order to extract parents' views on AR, five parents were invited to conduct an experiment with their children using AR cognition cards, and then an open interview survey was conducted. In the second experiment, the answers obtained from the first experiment were sorted out and formed a questionnaire to conduct a closed-book survey. It shows that parents are satisfied with the characteristics of AR to assist their children's learning. At the same time, parents also value technology, usage management and playing environment. AR can stimulate children's learning initiative. Children like to use AR, AR is suitable for learning, make parents satisfied. But even if AR is suitable for learning, parents will control the time their children use it.
