전라남도 고흥군 소재 팔영산 (608.6 m) 일대의 삼림군락에 대한 색생조사를 1993년 10월부터 1995년 7월까지 실시하였다. 조사한 자료는 Z-M 방식에 의해 종조성표를 작성하였다. 이에 따라 삼림군락은 신갈나무군락, 졸참나무군락, 굴참나무군락, 서어나무군락, 소나무군락등 5 개 군락으로 분류되었다. 입지와 환경과의 유기적 관계를 조사하기 위해 토양을 분석한 결과, 신갈나무군락은 토양의 비옥도가 높은 산의 능선 부위에 집중 분포하였으며, 굴참나무군락과 소나무군락은 토양의 비옥도가 낮고 비교적 건조한 고도 400 m 이하 지역에 주로 군락을 형성하고 있었다. 또한 졸참나무군락은 고도 300 - 550 m 이내에서 부분적으로 나타났으며, 서어나무군락은 토양의 비옥도가 양호한 고도 300 - 550 m 사이의 골짜기 주변에 국지적으로 분포하였다. 팔영산 삼림식생의 특징은 상록활엽수림이 형성될 수 있는 지역이나 후박나무, 동백나무, 사스레피나무 등의 몇몇 종을 제외하고는 상록활엽수의 분포를 확인할 수 없었으며, 일부 식재림을 제외한 대부분의 지역이 낙엽활엽수와 소나무의 혼효림으로 구성되어 있었다. The phytosociological study forest vegetation on Mt. Palyoung (608.6 m) was investigated from October 1993 to July 1995 in Koheug-Gun, Cheonnam province. According to Z-M method, the floristic composition table of the forest vegetation was divided into five community as follows; Quercus mongolica community, Quercus serrata community, Quercus variabilis community, Pinus densiflora community, Carpinus laxiflora community. The soil was analyzed to investigated the soil conditions and soil fertility. As a result, the organic matters which showing soil fertility were found to be low Quercus variabilis and Pinus densiflora community at comparatively xerophic conditions, below 400 m altitude, while they were increased in Quercus mongolica community on mountain ridge, and that Quercus serrata community was appeared 300-550 m altitude around mountain stream to moderate soilfertility. The forest vegetation of Mt. Palyoung area unconfirmed capable of evergreen broad-leaved forest, but appeared to Machilus thunbergii, Camellia japonica and Eurya japonica species etc. On the other hand, surveyed site's vegetation was distributed mixed forest of deciduous leaved forest and Pinus desiflora, except for some afforestation.

1983년 5월부터 1994년 12월까지 본 교실에 내원하여 전산화단층촬영상 자발성 소뇌 혹은 뇌교 출혈로 진단되어 입원가료한 소뇌출현 62례와 뇌교출혈 38례 대상으로 임상경과와 방사선학적 소견, 치료의 방법과 예후를 조사분석 하였다. 소뇌출혈과 관계된 예후인자를 보면, 내원 당시 의식장애가 없을수록, 혈종량이 적을수록, 소뇌반구 혈종일수록, 사구체조 폐쇄와 수두증이 없을수록 좋은 예후를 나타내었다. 혈종량이 적고 사구체조의 폐쇄와 수두증이 동반되지 않을 경우 재출혈등의 합병증이 없다면 보존적 요법만으로 좋은 결과를 볼 수 있었다. 즉, 예후를 추정하고 수술의 적응을 잡는 도구로서 혈종량만을 고려하는 것은 의미가 없으며, 뇌간 압박 소견인 사구체조 폐쇄와 수두증의 합병증 유무가 더 중요하였다. 뇌교 출혈과 관계된 예후인자는 내원 당시의 의식상태가 좋을수록, 혈종량이 적을수록, 사구체조 폐쇄 없을수록 좋은 예후를 나타내었고, 혈종의 위치는 기저·피개 혼합부를 모두 침범한 경우가 가장 나쁜 예후를 나타내었다. The author studied 62 consecutive patients with spontaneous cerebellar hemorrhage and 38 patients with spontaneous pontine hemorrhage diagnosed by computerized tomography scanning from May 1983 to December 1994 and assessed the relationship of outcome to initial GCS score, CT findings, and treatment modality. In cerebellar hemorrhage, good outcome was achieved in patients with high initial GCS score(>13), small hematoma, patent quadrigsminal cistern, absent hydrocephalic change, and the location of the hemorrage in the hemisphere. Although the size of hematoma was an important prognostic factor it had no constant bearing on the level of consciousness, degree of quadrigeminal cistern obliteration, and outcome. Absence of quadrigeminal cistern obliteration predicted a good outcome whether the hematoma was evacuated or not as long as obstructive hydrocephalus, if present. was relieved early. However, partial obliteration of the quadrigeminal cistern was a predictor of good outcome if the hematoma was evacuated within 48 hours after the onset of hemorrhage. Total obliteration of the quadrigeminal cistern inevitably predicted an unfavorable outcome. In pontine hemorrhages a good outcome was achieved in patients with high initial GCS score(<13), small size hematoma(<5cc) and patent quadrigeminal cistern. Especially, the size of the hematoma was an important prognostic factor and guideline for the determination of surgical candidates. Small hematomas(<5cc) responded more positively to conservative management than to surgery. However, early hematoma evacuation(<48hr) had improved the outcome in moderate sized hematomas(5-l0cc). Large hematomas(>10cc) inevitably showed an unfavorable outcome.

Batch-type thickening experiments were conducted to investigate the thickening characteristics of sludge produced from. drinking water treatment plants (WTPs). For this purpose, 8 water treatment plants in both upper and downstream, portions of four large rivers were selected as model facilities. Half the WTPs take raw water from rivers, while the other half takes water from. reservoirs or near dams. The limiting solid flux (SFL) varied remarkably according to water supply and season. For WTPs taking raw water from rivers, the value of SFL was in the range of 6.0 to 180 kg TS/㎡·d. On the other hand, WTPs taking raw water from reservoirs had much lower SFL. Especially in the case of Chungju and Hwasun WTPs, the SFL of sludge was lower than 10 TS/㎡·d during all seasons. Since the gravitational sludge thickeners of both WTPs were designed on the present guideline of 10 to 20 kg TS/㎡·d, it expected that both plants might suffer from operational problems caused by insufficient thickening area. This result strongly suggests that the gravitational sludge thickeners should be designed after considering the type of water supply and the thickening characteristics of the sludge to be generated at each specific WTP.

<P>Intestinal barrier is the first line of defense inside the body and comprises intercellular tight junction (TJ) proteins that regulate paracellular permeability. Deoxynivalenol (DON), a fungal metabolite often found in the contaminated food of domestic animals, is known to impair intestinal barrier function and may be involved in intestinal inflammation. Unlike in humans and mice, the importance of Toll-like receptor (TLR) 2 expressed in porcine intestinal epithelial cells is largely unclear. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to investigate whether TLR2 stimulation enhances intestinal barrier function and protects against DON exposure. We found that the cells treated with TLR2 ligands decreased the epithelial barrier permeability and enhanced TJ protein expression in intestinal porcine epithelial cells (IPEC-J2). In addition, pretreatment with TLR2 ligand, including Pam3CSK4 (PCSK) and lipoteichoic acid from <I>Bacillus subtilis</I>, prevented DON-induced barrier dysfunction by increasing the expression of TJ proteins via the PI3K-Akt-dependent pathway. It is likely that the DON-disrupted intestinal barrier caused biological changes of immune cells in the lamina propria. Thus, we conducted co-culture of differentiated IPEC-J2 cells in the upper well together with peripheral blood mononuclear cells in the bottom well and found that apical TLR2 stimulation of IPEC-J2 cells could alleviate the reduction in cell survival and proliferation of immune cells. Conclusively, TLR2 signaling on intestinal epithelial cells may enhance intestinal barrier function and prevent DON-induced barrier dysfunction of epithelial cells.</P><P><B>Electronic supplementary material</B></P><P>The online version of this article (doi:10.1186/s13567-016-0309-1) contains supplementary material, which is available to authorized users.</P>

The photovoltaic(PV) generation system have recently become widely used to solve the environmental problems and running out of fossil fuels. However, the study on maintenance is inadequate for PV system. This paper proposes the novel diagnosis method of output power decline to maintain the normal output performance of PV array. The diagnosis method used the proportional relation of irradiation-output current(S-I) of PV array at maximum power point(MPP). And, first order polynomial using the relation is proposed to easily apply PV system. To estimate the relation in case of separation of PV array producer and diagnosis system producer. Kalman Filter algorithm is also proposed at 30.2㎾ grid-connected PV system. Then, the performance of diagnosis method is evaluated using the hardware tests as well as the simulation.
