Influences of Financial Inclusion on Sustainable Development of India: Using Internet Subscribers as a Moderator

Swapnil Singh THAKUR(Swapnil Singh THAKUR ),Rahul Singh GAUTAM(Rahul Singh GAUTAM ),Ajay Kumar YADAV(Ajay Kumar YADAV ),Hitesh PATOLE(Hitesh PATOLE ),Aashi RAWAL(Aashi RAWAL ),Shailesh RASTOGI(Shailes 한국유통과학회 2023 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.10 No.2

The goal of this study is to understand how financial inclusion (FI) as influenced by Internet subscribers in India, affects India’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). This study makes use of secondary data that was collected from 16 Indian states and one Union Territory between the fiscal years of 2018 and 2020. The goal of this study has been investigated using panel data regression analysis (PDR). And the study’s findings indicate that wages received through MNREGA accounts and post office operating accounts under the supervision of Internet subscribers have a significant negative impact on India’s SDGs, demonstrating how financial inclusion is harming the country’s efforts to achieve sustainable development. This study suggests that it is important to pay attention to rural areas’ access to the digital environment and their degree of digital literacy. These findings imply that improving the MGNREGA program and employees’ pay might help the government alleviate poverty in India. Financial inclusion also depends heavily on financial literacy. The government should improve its digital infrastructure in rural and urban areas so that people there may better understand and utilize it given that it promotes financial inclusion, digitalization, economic advancement, rural development, and poverty reduction.

Molecular heterogeneity of plpE gene in Indian isolates of Pasteurella multocida and expression of recombinant PlpE in vaccine strain of P. multocida serotype B: 2

        Ajay Pratap Singh,Satparkash Singh,Santosh Kumar Gupta,Vijendra Pal Singh,Bhaskar Sharma,Rajeev Ranjan 대한수의학회 2010 Journal of Veterinary Science Vol.11 No.3

Outer membrane proteins of Pasteurella (P.) multocida have been known to be protective immunogens. Pasteurella lipoprotein E (PlpE) has been reported to be an important cross reactive outer membrane protein in P. multocida. The gene encoding the PlpE of P. multocida serotypes A: 3, B: 2and D: 1 was amplified from the genomic DNA. The amplified products were cloned and the nucleotide sequence was determined. Sequence analysis of the recombinant clones revealed a single open reading frame of 1,011 bp, 1,008 bp and 1,017 bp encoding a protein with a calculated molecular mass of 37.829 kDa, 37.389 kDa and 37.965 kDa for serotypes A:3, B: 2 and D: 1 respectively. The comparison of the plpE sequence in different capsular types revealed a high degree (>90%) of homology. Furthermore, the plpE gene of Haemorhhagic septicaemia causing serotype (B: 2) was expressed in E. coli and recombinant PlpE was strongly immunostained by antiserum against whole cell antigen, indicating that the protein is expressed in vivo.

Estimation of Genetic Parameters for First Lactation Monthly Test-day Milk Yields using Random Regression Test Day Model in Karan Fries Cattle

        Singh, Ajay,Singh, Avtar,Singh, Manvendra,Prakash, Ved,Ambhore, G.S.,Sahoo, S.K.,Dash, Soumya Asian Australasian Association of Animal Productio 2016 Animal Bioscience Vol.29 No.6

A single trait linear mixed random regression test-day model was applied for the first time for analyzing the first lactation monthly test-day milk yield records in Karan Fries cattle. The test-day milk yield data was modeled using a random regression model (RRM) considering different order of Legendre polynomial for the additive genetic effect (4th order) and the permanent environmental effect (5th order). Data pertaining to 1,583 lactation records spread over a period of 30 years were recorded and analyzed in the study. The variance component, heritability and genetic correlations among test-day milk yields were estimated using RRM. RRM heritability estimates of test-day milk yield varied from 0.11 to 0.22 in different test-day records. The estimates of genetic correlations between different test-day milk yields ranged 0.01 (test-day 1 [TD-1] and TD-11) to 0.99 (TD-4 and TD-5). The magnitudes of genetic correlations between test-day milk yields decreased as the interval between test-days increased and adjacent test-day had higher correlations. Additive genetic and permanent environment variances were higher for test-day milk yields at both ends of lactation. The residual variance was observed to be lower than the permanent environment variance for all the test-day milk yields.

      • Tuning Solid-State Fluorescence to the Near-Infrared: A Combinatorial Approach to Discovering Molecular Nanoprobes for Biomedical Imaging

        Singh, Ajay,Lim, Chang-Keun,Lee, Yong-Deok,Maeng, Joon-ho,Lee, Sangyoup,Koh, Joonseok,Kim, Sehoon American Chemical Society 2013 ACS APPLIED MATERIALS & INTERFACES Vol.5 No.18

Dyes showing solid-state fluorescence (SSF) are intriguing molecules that can emit bright fluorescence in the condensed phase. Because they do not suffer from self-quenching of fluorescence, nanoscopic dense integration of those molecules produces particulate nanoprobes whose emission intensity can be boosted by raising the intraparticle dye density. In spite of the potential promise for imaging applications demanding intense emission signals, their excitation and emission spectra are generally limited to the visible region where biological tissues have less transparency. Therefore, the SSF-based nanoprobes have rarely been applied to noninvasive in vivo imaging. Here we report a combinatorial chemistry approach to attain a high level of tissue transparency of SSF by tuning its excitation and emission wavelengths to the truly near-infrared (NIR) region. We built a dipolar arylvinyl (ArV) scaffold-based chemical library where the optical bandgap could be narrowed to the NIR above 700 nm by combinatorial modulation of the π-electron push-pull strengths. The ArV-aggregated nanoparticles (FArV NPs) with a colloidal size less than 20 nm were formulated using a polymeric surfactant (Pluronic F-127) and applied to bioimaging in cells and in vivo. We demonstrate that some of FArV NPs have truly NIR excitation and emission of SSF, capable of noninvasive in vivo imaging (efficient lymph node mapping and early diagnosis of tumor) in mouse models by virtue of bright solid-state NIR fluorescence and high signal-to-background contrast (S/B ≈ 8) as well as facile circulation in the living body.

Graphic Abstract

ACS Electronic Supporting Info

Intrathecal levobupivacaine versus bupivacaine for inguinal hernia surgery: a randomized controlled trial

        Ajay Singh,Anshu Gupta,Kumar Datta,Maitree Pandey 대한마취통증의학회 2018 Korean Journal of Anesthesiology Vol.71 No.3

Background: Levobupivacaine is an attractive alternative to racemic bupivacaine for spinal anesthesia due to the lower potential for cardio-toxicity and faster recovery profile. This study was designed to compare isobaric levobupivacaine with hyperbaric racemic bupivacaine with respect to intraoperative quality of anesthesia and the postoperative recovery profile in patients undergoing inguinal hernia surgery. Methods: A total of 100 American Society of Anesthesiologists 1 and 2 patients, aged 18–60 years, undergoing elective daycare unilateral inguinal hernia surgery, were randomized into two groups. Group L received spinal anesthesia with 3 ml of 0.5% plain levobupivacaine. Group B received 3 ml of 0.5% hyperbaric racemic bupivacaine. Quality of anesthesia, sensory and motor block characteristics, duration of effective analgesia, time to mobilization, and incidence of side effects were compared. Results: The quality of anesthesia was comparable between the two groups. No difference was observed in the block onset time or maximum block height. The duration of anesthesia was significantly shorter in group L compared with that in group B (206.2 ± 18.9 min vs. 224.1 ± 15.6 min, P < 0.001), as was duration of motor block (185.9 ± 20.3 min vs. 196.4 ± 21.2 min, P = 0.016) and time to walk unaided (321.9 ± 19.2 min vs. 356.7 ± 26.6 min, P < 0.001). The incidence of hypotension was less in group L (12%) compared to group B (32%) (P = 0.028). Conclusions: Levobupivacaine is an effective alternative to bupivacaine for patients undergoing unilateral inguinal hernia surgery. It has a shorter duration of sensory and motor block, allowing earlier mobilization in daycare surgeries, and a lower incidence of intraoperative hypotension.

      • Review of international wind codes and recent research on mono-slope canopy roof

Ajay Pratap Singh,Neelam Rani 한국풍공학회 2022 Wind and Structures, An International Journal (WAS Vol.34 No.4

Buildings with mono-sloped roofs are used for different purposes like at railway platforms, restaurants, industrial buildings, etc. Between two types of mono-slope roofs, clad and unclad, unclad canopy types are more vulnerable to wind load as wind produces pressure on both upper and lower surfaces of the roof, resulting in uplifting of the roof surface. This paper discusses the provisions of wind loads in different codes and standards for Low-rise buildings. Further, the pressure coefficients on mono-slope canopy roof available in wind code and standards are compared. Previous experimental studies for mono-slope canopy roof along with the recent wind tunnel testing carried out at Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee is briefly discussed and compared with the available wind codes. From the study it can further be asserted that the information available related to staging or blocking under the mono-slope canopy roofs is limited. This paper is an attempt to put together the available information in different wind codes/standards and the research works carried out by different researchers, along with shedding some light on the future scopes of research on mono-slope canopy roofs.

Evaluation of Pharmacognostical Characters andComparative Morphoanatomical Study of Saussurea costus (Falc.) Lipchitzand Arctium lappa L. Roots

Ajay Kumar Singh Rawat,Madan Mohan Pandey,Subha Rastogi 한국생약학회 2007 Natural Product Sciences Vol.13 No.4

costus (Falc.) Lipchitz syn S. lappato the family Asteraceae is a well known medicinal plant which finds wide usage in different indigenous systemsof medicine of India, China, Korea & Tibet. In different folk medicines the rots of S. costus are used to treatvarious disorders like ulcer, stomachache, malaria, leprosy, dysentery and toothache. However due to overexploitation, it has become endangered and has become the concern of different governmental bodies in India. The increasing demand of this endangered Himalayan species has resulted in a situation where it is oftensubstituted, knowingly or unknowingly, by other morphologically similar species. Arctium lappa, belonging to thesame family, is one such plant that has often been found to be present in the market samples of ‘Kuth’. Thepresent study was thus carried out and morphoanatomical characters, physicochemical as well as chemicalparameters were developed for proper identification of roots of S. costus and its differenciation from A. lappa aswell as authentication of the commercial market samples. The detailed morphoanatomical studies revealed thatroots of S. costus can be distinguished from A. lappa on the basis of some important microscopial characters eg.S. costus, were absent in A. lappa.. Besides, the HPTLCfingerprint profile showed a distinct band at Rf. 0.72 in S. costus, which was totally absent in A. lappa and a bandat Rf 0.64 in A. lappa which was absent in S. costus Chlorogenic acid, used as a chemical marker for HPTLCanalysis, was estimated to be 0.077% in S. costus as compared to 0.107% in A. lappa. Thus these detailedpharmacognostical parameters can be successfully used to distinguish between roots of S. costus and A. lappa.KeywordsSaussurea costus, Arctium lappa, ‘Kuth’, ‘Jangali Kuth’, Pharmacognosy, Chlorogenic acid
