본 연구에서는 루비와 가넷을 감별하는데 첨단기기분석인 FT-IR, UV-VIS spectroscopy를 이용하였다. FT-IR을 이용한 분석결과 루비와 가넷의 격자진동에 의한 흡수 스펙트럼은 아주 다른 특성을 보여주었다. UV-VIS spectroscopy을 이용한 분석결과 루비는 적색과 청색영역에서 두개의 투과가 나타났고 이와 다르게 가넷은 오직 적색영역에서만 투과가 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다 이러한 결과를 토대로 루비와 가넷을 감별할 수 있는 컬러필터를 개발하였고 이를 HJH(Hwang Ji Ho) Filter라고 명명하였다. HJH Filter를 통해 봤을 때, 루비는 청색으로 보여지고 가넷은 진한 적색으로 보여졌다 이는 HJH Filter의 청색영역 투과도 때문이다. 스피넬, 투어멀린과 같은 또 다른 적색 보석들은 가릿과 같이 진한 적색으로 보여졌다. 이는 루비와 적색보석들을 감별하는데 유용한 결과가 있음을 알았다. The FT-IR absorption spectrum by the lattice vibrations of ruby and garnet obtained from FT-IR shows quite different characteristics. By the UV-VIS spectroscopy it was found that the ruby has two transmission bands in red and blue region, while garnet has only one transmission band in red region. The color filter to distinguish ruby from garnet was developed and named HWANG JI HO filter. Through the HWANG JI HO filter, ruby was shown in blue color and garnet was shown in dark red color because of the only the blue region transmittance of the filter. Other red stones, such as spinel, tourmaline were shown in dark red color like as garnet. The ruby could be recognized easily from the red stone.
장식용 유리용융을 위한 스컬 용융 시스템의 조건에 관한 연구

다양한 유리의 종류 중에서 장식용 유리를 제조하기 위해서 스컬 용융법을 이용해 유리를 용융시켜 실험하였다. 스컬 용융법을 이용해서 장식용 유리를 용융시키기 위해서 유리의 융점에서의 재료(SiO_2)의 전기 저항값과 RF generator의 출력주파수, tank condenser의 용량 변화에 따른 주파수, work coil, 냉각도가니 크기 등의 조건에 변화를 주어 장식용 유리를 용융시킬 수 있는 최적의 조건을 계산하였다. 그 결과 유리의 용융온도 1,880℃에서 융점에서의 재료의 전기 저항값이 10^-4 Ω/m일 때 ∅24×H40cm 도가니와 2,000pF tank condenser 용량 사용에 따른 3.08MHZ 주파수가 장식용 유리를 용융시킬 수 있는 최적의 조건임을 알 수 있었다.

Although the mummies of Lee Myeong-Jung and his wife who were a member of the Moon family, were buried in similar sites in around 1560, the degree of decay of the dead bodies and antiquities between two people were quite different. This study was focused on the cause of-those differences in terms of engineering geology. Cranular soil found several metered depth around the study site has good drainage ability and such characteristic could be a factor of excellent conservation of dead body. From the physical characteristics of the lime-containing material that is considered to be a barrier from water and air, it was observed that the material around dead body of wife was more compact and denser than that of husband. Such results could be a clear evidence that the lime containing material around dead body of wife was excellent barrier for keeping away from water and air. To investigate those differences of physical characteristics and constituent materials between two lime-containing materials, minerals had to be identified from the two materials. It was revealed that lime-containing material around dead body of wife contains gypsum and more calcite, which could be the reason for better barrier preventing from water and air than those around husband.

1. Objective The purpose of this study is to examine the characteristics and the improvement in the symptoms of the patients who administrated Hyungbangjihwang-tang. 2. Methods We examined 793 case report forms(CRFs) from six oriental medical hospitals and three regional oriental medicine clinics. These CRFs are recorded from november 2007 to july 2008. All constitutions of cases were diagnosed not only by Sasang constitution experts but also through clinical experiences. The traits of the patients and the effects of their treatment were examined. 3. Results and Conclusion 1. The chief complaints in which the patients showed improvement were Headache, fatigue, lumbago, dyspepsia. 2. The ordinary symptoms in which the patients showed improvement were insomnia, fatigue, constipation, dyspepsia, headache. 3. The average food intake of the patients was normal(65.2%) and their feces had intermediate hardness (semi-soft). The color of their urine was either clear or yellow. 4. The amount of the patients' sweat was appropriate (39.1%) Their water intake was approximately normal, and they preferred drinking the cold water. 5. Among the diseases that the patients previously had chronic gastritis(19.6%) had the highest frequencies. 4. Conclusion: The above results show that Hyungbangjihwang-tang can be considered beneficial to headache, fatigue, lumbargo, insomnia, constipation, dyspepsia patients whose food intake is normal, whose sweat level is either appropriate, who prefer to drink cold water, and who are suffering from chronic gastritis.
마황윤폐탕(麻黃潤肺湯)이 호흡기 뮤신 분비 및 기관지 평활근에 미치는 영향

Objectives : The purpose of this study was to investigate whether Mahwangyunpye-tang(MYT) significantly affects mucin secretion from airway epithelial cells. Methods : Confluent hamster tracheal surface epithelial (HTSE) cells were metabolically radiolabeled with 3H-glucosamine for 24 hrs and chased for 30 min in the presence of MYT to assess the effect of the agent on 3H-mucin secretion. Total elution profiles of control spent media and treatment sample through Sepharose CL-4B column were analyzed. Effect of MYT on contractility of isolated tracheal smooth muscle was investigated; also investigated was effect of the agent on MUC5AC gene expression in cultured NCI-H292 cells. Possible cytotoxicities of the agent were assessed both by measuring lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) release from HTSE cells and examining the rate of survival and proliferation of NCI-H292 cells. Results : MYT significantly increased mucin secretion from cultured HTSE cells, without significant cytotoxicity. MYT chiefly affected the 'mucin' secretion. MYT inhibited Acetylcholine-induced contraction of isolated tracheal smooth muscle. MYT did not significantly affect the expression levels of MUC 5AC gene in cultured NCI-H292 cells. Conclusions : Based on the above results, it is suggested that MYT increased mucin secretion from cultured HTSE cells without significant cytotoxicity and inhibited contraction of isolated tracheal smooth muscle.
