        목적: 게이트 심장 혈액풀 스캔(Multi-gated cardiac blood pool, GBP)은 좌심실의 기능을 비침습적으로 검사할 수 있는 간편한 방법이며 이를 통해 얻을 수 있는 좌심실 심박출 계수(Left ventricular ejection fraction, LVEF)는 허혈성심질환이나 판막질환 등의 심질환에 있어서 예후를 결정할 수 있는 중요한 지표로 간주되고 있다. 정확한 LVEF를 산출하기 위해서 최적중격상(best septal view)을 얻어야한다. 본 연구는 심실중격의 각도를 측정하여 최적중격 영상을 얻고자 하였고, LAO 45 영상과의 정량분석 값을 비교하고자 한다. 대상 및 방법: 2015년 3월부터 7월 사이에 국립암센터 핵의학과에서 GBP 스캔을 실시한 환자 중에서 혈관조영증강 흉부 CT를 시행한 265명을 기본 대상으로 하였다. 혈관조영증강흉부 CT의 횡단면 영상에서 좌심실의 크기가 가장 크고, 심실중격의 경계가 선명한 곳을 선택한다. 극상돌기와 흉골 또는 검상돌기의 중심을 잇는 선을 가상 중앙선이라 하고, 심실중격의 경계와 평행이 되는 선과 가상 중앙선의 예각(${\theta}$)을 측정한다. ${\theta}$와 45 각도와의 차이가 ${\pm}10^{\circ}$ 이상 차이나는 환자를 대상으로 LAO 45와 $LAO\;{\theta}$ 영상을 촬영하고 자동 관심영역 설정 모드(Automated Region Of Interest; Auto-ROI)와 수동 관심영역 설정모드(Manual Region Of Interest; Manual-ROI)에서 LVEF를 5번씩 구하여 서로 비교 평가하였다. 결과: 대상 환자 265명에서 ${\theta}$의 전체 평균은 $37.0{\pm}8.5^{\circ}$ 이었다. 그 중 ${\theta}$와 $45^{\circ}$ 각도의 차이가 ${\pm}10^{\circ}$ 이상 차이나는 환자는 총 88명이었고 평균은 $29.3{\pm}6.1^{\circ}$ 이었다. LAO 45와 ${\theta}$간 측정한 LVEF 차이는 Auto-ROI와 Manual-ROI 모두에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다(P < 0.001, both). 이러한 차이는 ${\theta}$와의 유의한 상관관계는 보이지 않았다. 두 방법 모두 5번 반복 측정을 통해 구한 급내 상관계수에서도 모두 95% 이상으로 우수한 재현성을 보였다. Auto-ROI 와 manual-ROI에서 측정한 LVEF 차이에 대하여 LAO 45 및 LAO ${\theta}$ 에서의 대응표본 T검정으로 비교한 결과, 두 측정 각도에서의 유의한 차이는 보이지 않았다. 고찰 및 결론: 영상의학과에서 시행하고 있는 조영증강흉부 CT 영상을 통하여 심실중격 각도(${\theta}$)를 구하고 이를 GBP 스캔의 좌전사위상에 반영하였다. 이러한 방법은 기존의 LAO 45로 일괄적으로 촬영하던 방법과 유의한 차이를 보였다. Purpose In order to calculate the left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) accurately, it is important to acquire the best septal view of left ventricle in the multi-gated cardiac blood pool scan (GBP). This study aims to acquire the best septal view by measuring angle of ventricular septal wall (${\theta}$) using enhanced CT scan and compare with conventional method using left anterior oblique (LAO) 45 view. Materials and Methods From March to July in 2015, we analyzed the 253 patients who underwent both enhanced chest CT and GBP scan in the department of nuclear medicine at National Cancer Center. Angle (${\theta}$) between ventricular septum and imaginary midline was measured in transverse image of enhanced chest CT scan, and the patients whose difference between the angle of ${\theta}$ and 45 degree was more than 10 degrees were included. GBP scan was acquired using both LAO 45 and LAO ${\theta}$ views, and LVEFs measured by automated and manual region of interest (Auto-ROI and Manual-ROI) modes respectively were analyzed. Results $Mean{\pm}SD$ of ${\theta}$ on total 253 patients was $37.0{\pm}8.5^{\circ}$. Among them, the patients whose difference between 45 and ${\theta}$ degrees were more than ${\pm}10$ degrees were 88 patients ($29.3{\pm}6.1^{\circ}$). In Auto-ROI mode, there was statistically significant difference between LAO 45 and LAO ${\theta}$ (LVEF $45=62.0{\pm}6.6%$ vs. LVEF ${\theta}=64.0{\pm}5.6%$; P = 0.001). In Manual-ROI mode, there was also statistically significant difference between LAO 45 and LAO ${\theta}$ (LVEF $45=66.7{\pm}7.2%$ vs. LVEF ${\theta}=69.0{\pm}6.4%$; P < 0.001). Intraclass correlation coefficients of both methods were more than 95%. In case of comparison between Auto-ROI and Manual ROI of each LAO 45 and LAO ${\theta}$, there was no significant difference statistically. Conclusion We could measure the angle of ventricular septal wall accurately by using transverse image of enhanced chest CT and applied to LAO acquisition in the GBP scan. It might be the alternative method to acquire the best septal view of LAO effectively. We could notify significant difference between conventional LAO 45 and LAO ${\theta}$ view.

        N/A Chromium is an essential nutrient and participates in glucose and lipid metabolism in human beings and animals. The present study was conducted to assess the effects of chromium picolinate (Cr-pic) on glucose tolerance and insulin sensitivity in type Ⅰ and Ⅱ diabetic rats. The experimental groups were type Ⅰ diabetic (streptozotocin-induced: 40㎎/㎏, i.p.) and type Ⅱdiabetic (Goto-Kakizaki rats) models. Each group was subdivided into control, low-dose and high-dose of Cr-pic treated groups. The Cr-pic was orally administered with Cr-pic (100 mg/kg for low dose group and 200㎎/㎏ for high dose group) for 4 weeks. And then we performed intraperitoneal glucose tolerance test (IPGTT) and insulin sensitivity test (ITT). The glucose tolerance test was carried out by injection of glucose (2 g/㎏, i.p.). The peripheral insulin sensitivity test was conducted by injection of insulin (5 units/㎏, s.c.) and glucose. We performed determining of blood glucose concentration at 0, 10, 30, 60, 90, and 120 min using automated glucose analyzer. The plasma insulin concentration was determined by rat insulin EIA kit. Administration of Cr-pic improved weight gain in all groups with higher significant in the low-dose group. There was no significance between the control and the Cr-pic treated groups in the area under the blood glucose curve and serum insulin concentration plots of IPGTT and peripheral ITT in type Ⅰ diabetic rats. But Cr-pic treated groups showed significantly lower levels of the area under the blood glucose curve during IPGTT and ITT and the high-dose group showed less effects compared with the low-dose group in the type Ⅱ diabetic rats. The plasma insulin concentration of both diabetic groups was not influenced by Cr-pic supplementation. We can conclude that chromium picolinate may improve the endogenous and exogenous insulin action and peripheral insulin sensitivity in type Ⅱ diabetic rats.

        Purpose: Many researchers have tried to develop animal models that mimic the human immune system, e.g. a humanized mouse model, to improve the engraftment of hematopoietic stem cells and develop human immune cells in an animal model. This study evaluated the feasibility of the cultured human umbilical cord blood (hUCB)-derived CD34? cells for cell expansion, in Rag2<SUP>-/-</SUP>γc<SUP>-/-</SUP> mice, and establish co-transplantation with human fetal thymus/liver tissue (Thy/Liv) under the kidney capsule. Methods: Co-transplantation of hUCB-derived CD34? cells with Thy/Liv was performed. The hUCB-derived CD34? cells were prepared by freshly thawing (G1) and culturing for 7 days with two types of cytokine combinations (G2, G3). The CD45? cell populations were measured at 6, 8, 10 and 16 weeks in the peripheral blood. The splenocytes were cultured with mitogenic stimuli (PHA -L or IL-2) at 20 weeks posttransplantation, and the proliferation of human immune cells was evaluated. Results: There were no significant differences in the human CD45? cell populations at 6, 8, 10 and 16 weeks post-transplantation between the groups. In the cultured splenocytes at 20 weeks post-transplant with PHA-L or IL-2, there was remarkable expansion of CD3? cells in the three groups. Although no CD19? cells were detected in the spleen, human Ig G was detected in the sera of these mice. Conclusion: The cultured and expanded hUCB-derived cells with cytokine combinations might be a feasible cell source in humanized mouse modeling. In addition, human immune cells can be reconstituted from the co-transplantation of Thy/Liv and cultured hUCB-derived CD34? cells.

        N/A Background/Aims: Most of Ihe chronic liver diseases of variable etiologies are accompanied by a pathobiochemical reaction So-called fibrosis. Liver fibrosis was recently recognized as all the complexity of dynamic changes of the hepatic extracellular matrix(ECM). And ECM consists of four major components: collagen, glycoprotein such as fibronectin and laminin, proteoglycan, and elastin. Among these, collagen I and III are the representatives of disproportion of synthesis and degradation in conjunction with fibrogenesis. To elucidate the clinical significance of procollagen propeptide I(PICP) and III(PIIINP) measurements among the sera out of patients with chronic liver diseases, radioimmunoassay 4vas employed in this investigation. Methods: Sera tested were obtained from pathologically-proven 54 patients; 4 cases of fatty liver, 11 cases of chronic persistent hepatitis, 13 cases df chronic active hepatitis, 15 cases of liver cirrhosis and 11 cases of hepatocellular carcinoma. All:the patients except 4 cases of fatty liver were shown positivity of HBsAg. PICP and PIIINP radioimmunoassay kits(Farmos Diagnostica, Oulunsalo, Finland)were purchased for this study. ResOlts: PICP concentration (mean+standard error) was highest in liver cirrhosis (280.06>39,83 pg/L). PICP in liver cirrhosis was significantly elevated in cornparison to that (109.30+14.58) in fatty:liver(p=0.045), that (122.22>10.26) in chronic persistent hepatitis (p=0.003), and that (158.59>21.58) in chronic active hepatitis(p=0.016), PICP in hepatocellular carcinoma was decreased to 1'94.05+ 29.89. Similarly, PIIINP concentration revealed highest level in liver cirrhosis(17.29+3.58 pg/L). This value was significantly higher than that of chronic persistent hepatitis(5.12+0.59)(p=0.008). Contrarily to these results, concentration ratio of PICP/PIIINP was high in fatty liver (29.27>6.29) and chronic persistent hepatitis (25.04+2.00), These value were statistically higher than that of chronic active hepatitis (17.632.67) (p=0.043). PICP/PIIINP ratio in liver cirrhosis (21.58+3.29) showed no statistical difference. Conclusions: On the basis of these data, it is suggested that the elevation of PICP and PIIINP in the sera of the patients with chronic liver diseases means emerging the liver cirrhosis. And the ratio of these markers can be helpful in differential diagnosis of chronic liver diseases. (Korean J Gastroenterol 1996; 28:815-823)

        3차원 형상 복원을 위한 다중시점 영상 디블러링

        본 논문에서는 객체의 모션 블러(motion blur)를 포함하고 있는 다중시점(multi-view) 영상을 이용하여 객체의 3차원 형상 복원시 영상을 효과적으로 디블러링(deblurring)하여 3차원 형상 복원의 정확도를 높이는 기법을 제안한다. 다중시점 영상의 디블러링 수행시 다중시점 영상 간의 기하학적 상관관계를 고려하여 보다 정확히 PSF (point spread function)를 구함으로써 결과적으로 보다 정확한 3차원 형상 복원을 수행할 있다. 제안하는 기법은 각각의 입력 영상에서 초기 2D PSF를 독립적으로 구한 후, 3차원 PSF의 후보를 각 입력 영상의 카메라 행렬에 의해 투영했을 때 이들에 전역적으로 가장 잘 부합하는 3D PSF를 탐색한다. 3D PSF는 방향과 밀도 성분으로 구성되며 이는 결국 3차원 공간에서의 물체의 움직임 궤적과 동일하다. 추정된 3D PSF는 각 영상으로 다시 투영되어 각 영상의 2D PSF로 추정되고, 이에 의해 각 영상의 디블러링을 수행한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 기법을 이용하여 다중시점 영상 디블러링과 3차원 형상 복원을 수행한 결과, 단일 영상만을 이용하여 복원할 경우에 비하여 디블러링과 3차원 형상 복원 모두 현저히 개선된 결과를 확인할 수 있다. In this paper, we propose a method to reconstruct accurate 3D shape object by using multi-view images which are disturbed by motion blur. In multi-view deblurring, more precise PSF estimation can be done by using the geometric relationship between multi-view images. The proposed method first estimates initial 2D PSFs from individual input images. Then 3D PSF candidates are projected on the input images one by one to find the best one which are mostly consistent with the initial 2D PSFs. 3D PSF consists with direction and density and it represents the 3D trajectory of object motion. 야to restore 3D shape by using multi-view images computes the similarity map and estimates the position of 3D point. The estimated 3D PSF is again projected to input images and they replaces the intial 2D PSFs which are finally used in image deblurring. Experimental result shows that the quality of image deblurring and 3D reconstruction improves significantly compared with the result when the input images are independently deblurred.

        폴리프로필렌 표면 위에 폴리비닐피롤리돈의 플라즈마 유도 그래프트 공중합

        본 연구의 목적은 대기압 플라즈마 처리된 평판형 폴리프로필렌(polypropylene, PP) 필름 표면 위에 폴리 비닐피롤리돈(poly(N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone), PVP)을 그래프트 공중합시키기 위한 최적 조건을 찾는데 있다. 대기압 플라즈마 처리 조건은 RF power 200W, Ar 유속 6 LPM, 처리시간 30초, 처리 후 노출시간은 5분으로 고정 하였다. 그래프트 공중합에서는 중합 시간, 중합 온도, 비닐피롤리돈(N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone, NVP) 농도의 조건을 각 각 달리하여 표면 그래프트도의 변화를 조사하였다. 그 결과, 중합 시간 6시간, 중합 온도 90 oC, NVP 농도 40%에서 가장 높은 그래프트도를 나타내었다. ATR-FTIR, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS), SEM 분석을 통해 서도 PVP의 도입을 확인할 수 있었다. The objective of this study is to investigate optimum reaction conditions for the grafting of poly(Nvinyl- 2-pyrrolidone) (PVP) onto the surface of plasma-treated polypropylene film. The plasma treatment conditions were fixed as 200 W rf power, 6 LPM Ar flow rate, 30 sec treatment time, and 5 min exposure time after treatment. For graft copolymerization, we investigated the change of grafting degree with respect to reaction time, reaction temperature and N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone concentration. Maximum grafting degree was obtained at the conditions of 6 h reaction time, 90 oC reaction temperature, and 40% N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone concentration. The introduction of PVP was confirmed by ATR-FTIR, XPS, and SEM analysis.
