In this paper, a 2.4 GHz low-voltage CMOS double-balanced down-conversion mixer using neutralization technique has been proposed and verified by circuit simulations and measurements. The grounded source structure was used for low-voltage operation. The neutralization technique was used to improve a conversion gain. The proposed mixer is fabricated in $0.25{\mu}m$ CMOS process for a 2.4 GHz wireless receiver. The mixer consumes 1.94 mW and gives conversion gain of 5.66 dB, input IP3 of 0.7 dBm and P1dB of -11.2 dBm at 1.5 V power supply. Measured results for the designed mixer show improved conversion gain of 2.86 dB over conventional mixer of grounded source structure.

In this paper, variable gain amplifier(VGA) with a gain slope controller has been proposed and verified by circuit simulations and measurements. The proposed VGA has a gain control, gain slope switch and variable gain range. The input source coupled pair with diode connected load is used for VGA gain stage. The gain slope controller with switch can control VGA gain slope. The proposed VGA is fabricated in $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS process for multi -standard wireless receiver. The proposed two stage VGA consumes min. 2.0 mW to max. 2.6 mW in gain control range and gives input IP3 of -3.77 dBm and NF of 28.7 dB at 1.8 V power supply under -25 dBm, 1 MHz input. The proposed VGA has 37 dB(-16 dB $\sim$ 21 dB) variable gain range, and 8 dB gain range control per 0.3 V control voltage, and can provide variable gain, positive and negative gain slope control, and gain range control. This VGA characteristics provide design flexibility in multi-standard wireless receiver.

This paper resents variable gain amplifier(VGA) with a gain slope controller. The proposed VGA has a gain control, gain slope switch and shift function of gain range. This VGA characteristic provides design flexibility in multi-standard system. The proposed VGA has 15㏈ gain control range, under 1㏈ gain error and 0.7㎽ power dissipation with 1.8V power supply and it was simulated by using 0.18㎛ CMOS process library.

This paper presents low voltage Low Noise Amplifier(LNA) using RF trap with coupling capacitance. RF trap and coupling capacitance provide minimum required voltage for operation and cascode topology LNA as AC equivalent. Measurement results show that the LNA provides a noise figure of 5.58 ㏈, gain of 8.80 ㏈. And power dissipation is 26㎽ for 1V supply. This LNA has fabricated TSMC 0.25㎛ CMOS process.

This paper presents received signal strength indicator(RSSI) for use of automatic gain control in multi-standard RF system. In oder to compensate offset and input dynamic range in each RF input specification, we proposed RSSI with the function of the output control. The proposed RSSI have -95 ㏈m input sensitivity, 60 ㏈ input dynamic range control in 0.8V~1.2V control signal, and 62.34㎽ power dissipation with 3.3V power supply and it was simulated by using 0.35㎛ CMOS process library.

In this study, it was investigated by comparing the experimental hemming by the 3 steps and 2 steps in order to stabilize the quality of the hemming process. In the experimental results, the three-step hemming superior to the two-step one and the dimensional stability of part that was made by the three-step on was high. When the second stage Hemming has been found that the deflection caused by the force to the wear of the punch becomes larger plane can be folded by the hemming crimping and crimp uncertain.

This study has been investigated to apply fiber reinforced composites instead of asbestos as a friction material. The reinforcement used was E-glass fiber and binder resin was phenol having good mechanical properties and heat resistance. And it has been also investigated the effect of molding conditions and some additives such as carbon black, alumina and rubber powder in E-glass fiber/phenol resin composites on the friction and wear characteristics. As a result, it was found that the molding conditions of E-glass fiber/phenol resin composites for friction materials had to be different from those of phenol resin and was found that the wear rate of E-glass fiber/phenol resin composites added alumina powder was higher than that of composites added carbon black in the same wear distance. And it was also found that friction coefficient of E-glass/phenol resin composites added carbon black was decreased and that of the composites added the powder of natural rubber and ABS rubber were increased compared to the composites.
