Vol.10 No.8
This paper presents a design of low power CMOS LNA(Low Noise Amplifier) for 2.4 GHz ZigBee applications that is a promising international standard for short area wireless communications. The proposed circuit has been designed using TSMC $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS process technology and two stage cascade topology by current reuse technique. Two stage cascade amplifiers use the same bias current in the current reused stage which leads to the reduction of the power dissipation. LNA design procedures and the simulation results using ADS(Advanced Design System) are presented in this paper. Simulation results show that the LNA has a extremely low power dissipation of 1.38mW with a supply voltage of 1.0V. This is the lowest value among LNAs ever reported. The LNA also has a maximum gain of 13.38dB, input return loss of -20.37dB, output return loss of -22.48dB and minimum noise figure of 1.13dB.

Tuberculosis remains as a major public health problem worldwide. In addition to classic pulmonary tuberculosis, tuberculosis may sometimes present atypically. In the case of atypical tuberculosis, the unusual sites and properties that mimic other diseases can lead to a misdiagnosis and therapeutic delay. Abdominal and pharyngeal tuberculosis are uncommon extrapulmonary manifestations of tuberculosis. To the best of our knowledge, a combination of abdominal and pharyngeal tuberculosis with endobronchial tuberculosis has not been reported. We report a case of concurrent abdominal and pharyngeal tuberculosis in a patient with chronic endobronchial tuberculosis mimicking a metastatic malignancy on computed tomography and FDG-PET. A Proposal of Methodologies for Implementing Digital Chips in the Latest Processes
2024 IDEC Journal of Integrated Circuits and Systems Vol.10 No.2
In this paper, design methodologies suitable for implementing digital systems at various processes are suggested. Important issues such as Multi Corner Multi Mode, Hierarchical Design, adoption of CCS model, and changes in design flow must be considered for ultra-fine processes. The Cortex-M0 SoC Platform is implemented, taking into account theses important issues, and the results using various digital libraries are compared. All implemented platforms meet specifications and operate normally with both hardware and software. The fastest clock cycle that can be synthesized is 4ns for Samsung 28nm process.

The propellant level measurement system of the next Koreanized launch vehicle shall adapt a capacitive type sensor, which can generate capacitive values continuously considering cryogenic environment and the characteristics of flowrate control. At present there are a twin-arc and a triple-arc methods as a capacitive type signal sensing method. In this study a highly accurate triple-arc method, which can apply to almost all fluids, is chosen. In this paper the review results on the principle of triple-arc sensing, the analysis results on the influence on capacitive values due to shape change of sensing part, and the simulation results to monitor the influence on signal sensing according to the location of sensing part in the upper part of propellant tank are included. Information obtained from this study can be used in the designing and manufacturing of on-board propellant level measurement system in tanks.
