        활성견운모를 이용한 방사성 Cs(1)의 측정용 센서 개발

        Cesium is considered as the most abundant and hazardous radio toxic pollutant in liquid radioactive waste. The aim of the present investigation is to utilize the activated sericite in the attenuation of radio toxic cesium from aqueous solutions. Further, the material is assessed for its suitability in the modification of carbon paste electrode and employed as working electrode in cyclic voltammetry (CV) for the determination of trace level of radio toxic cesium in the aqueous media. Electrochemical behaviour of Cs(I) is obtained for a wide range of applied potential ±1.5 V against the standard Ag/AgCl reference electrode. The activated sericite carbon paste electrode (AS-CPE) showed a good tendency to Cs(I) ions and the presence of same amount of other metal ions could not hamper the detection of Cs(I). The presence of Na+ ions upto 5 mg/L could not significantly affect the determination of Cs(I), however the presence of excess Na+ ions in solution inhibit the detection of Cs(I) completely. Under the optimum conditions, a linear relationship is obtained between the scan rate and the cathodic peak current and moreover, fairly linear correlation was obtained in the concentration range of 10 ug/L to 50 ug/L with the correlation coefficients of 0.99 in the cathodic potential with the scan rate 200 mV/sec.

        에너지 저감 및 막 오염 제어를 위한 공기세정 일체형 중공사막 모듈 연구

        목적: MBR (Membrane BioRactor)은 생물반응조와 분리막을 결합하여 하·폐수를 처리하는 기술로, 고품질 처리수생산이 가능하여 각광 받는 기술이다. 본 연구 목적은 막 오염을 제어를 위해 효율적인 구조로 개선된 모듈을 개발하고, 개발된 세정공기 일체형 침지식 중공사막 모듈을 활용하는 것이다. 또한, 에너지 저감을 위한 세정공기 공급량의 최적화 방안에 대해 연구하였다. 방법: 본 연구에서는 세정공기 일체형 침지식 중공사막 모듈을 이용하여 40.0~140.0 m³ air/m² projected area·hr까지 세정공기의 단계별 공급에 따른 막 오염 현상을 실험하고, 추가로 처리수의 수질분석을 실시하였다. 결과 및 토의: 세정공기 공급량을 단계적으로 조절하여 실험한 결과, 80 m³ air/m² projected area·hr까지의 공급량으로 효율적인 막 오염 제어가 가능하였으며, 60 m³ air/m² projected area・hr이하부터 투과압력이 점진적으로 증가하여 막 오염 현상이 가속화되었다. 기존 100~140 m³ air/m² projected area・hr의 일반적인 세정공기 공급량과 비교시 20% 이상의 공급량을 저감함으로써 송풍기 조절에 따른 전기·유지비 저감이 가능하였다. 이와 동시에 투과성능 또한 기존과 동등한 것으로 확인됐다. 개발된 모듈을 적용한 SJMBR의 pilot test 실험결과, 처리수질은 BOD 1.4 mg/L, COD 4.2 mg/L, SS 0.7 mg/L, T-N 5.56 mg/L, T-P 0.56 mg/L, 총대장균군 0 ea/mL, 생태독성 0 TU 등이었다. 결론: 결과들을 종합하면 공기세정 일체형 중공사막 모듈 이용할 시, 세정공기 공급량을 최적화하여 기존 대비 20% 이상 세정 공기량을 저감 효과를 기대할 수 있으며, 기존과 동등한 투과성능 및 처리수질 만족에 부합하는 기술로 판단할 수 있다. Objectives : MBR (Membrane BioReactor) is well established wastewater treatment that combines biological and physical method with high quality effluent. The purpose of this study is to utilize an air scouring integral immersed hollow fiber membrane module through efficient structural improvement developed to reduce membrane fouling. In addition, the scouring aeration was optimized to determine the energy savings. Methods : In this study, membrane fouling test was evaluated in various of scouring aeration flow with range of 40 to 140 m³ air/m² projected area·hr and influent and effluent was analyzed by water quality standard. Results and Discussion : In scouring aeration test, effective membrane contamination control was possible with supplying 80 m³ air/m² projected area·hr, scouring aeration rate gradually increased the differential pressure from below 60 m³ air/m² projected area·hr, which accelerates the membrane contamination phenomenon. By reducing more than 20% of the existing general scouring aeration rate of 100~140 m³ air/m² projected area·hr, electricity and maintenance costs can be reduced due to aeration control, and at the same time, it is confirmed that the technology has the same performance. The pilot test results of SJMBR with the developed module showed that the effluent was BOD of 1.4 mg/L, COD of 4.2 mg/L, SS of 0.7 mg/L, T-N of 5.56 mg/L, T-P of 0.56 mg/L, total coliform group of 0 ea/mL, and ecotoxicity of 0 TU, respectively. Conclusions : These results are combined, when using an air scouring integral immersed hollow fiber membrane module, it is expected to reduce the amount of scouring air by more than 20% by optimizing the supply of scouring air. In addition, it can also be determined by technology that satisfy the same permeability and treated water quality as existing technologies.

        복합운동이 비알콜성지방간 비만대학생의 체력과 간염증 인자 및 혈액 변인에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of aerobic and resistance exercise on physical fitness, liver inflammatory factor and blood variables in obese university students with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. The results of this study were as follow: In body composition and blood pressure, Body mass index, Lean body mass, % fat were significantly(p<.01) difference time-by-group interactions respectively after 12 weeks in exercise group. In physical fitness, V˙O2max(㎖/min), V˙O2max(㎖/㎏/min), Flexibility, Sit-up(p<.05) were significantly (p<.01) difference time-by-group interactions respectively after 12 weeks in exercise group. In liver inflammatory factor and blood variables, AST(p<.05), ALT(p<.01), TG(p<.05), insulin(p<.05), HOMA-IR(p<.05) and adiponectin(p<.01) were significantly difference time-by-group interactions respectively after 12 weeks in exercise group. These findings suggest that aerobic and resistance exercise may represent an effective intervention strategy for physical fitness and liver inflammatory factor and blood variables.

        자궁경부상피내종양 1 이상 병변의 진단에서 실시간 광전기적 기구의 유효성

        목적: 실시간 광전기적 기구인 TruScreen과 액상세포검사의 민감도, 특이도 및 정확도를 비교하여, 자궁경부상피내종양 1 이상의 병변에서 진단적 검사로서 TruScreen의 유효성에 대해 살펴보고자 한다. 연구 방법: 이전에 자궁경부세포검사 혹은 질확대경검사상 이상소견을 보였던 292명의 환자를 대상으로 TruScreen과 액상세포 검사를 시행 후, 자궁경부생검 혹은 자궁경부원추절제술의 병리조적검사를 바탕으로 각각의 민감도, 특이도 및 정확도를 평가하였다. 결과: 자궁경부상피내종양 1이상의 병변에서 TruScreen의 민감도는 통계적으로 유의하지는 않았으나(P=0.687), 82.8%로 액상세포검사의 민감도 75.9%보다 높게 나타났다. 특이도와 정확도는 TruScreen이 액상세포검사보다 다소 낮았다(특이도 81.4% vs 83.3%, 정확도 81.5% vs 82.5%). 결론: 본 연구의 결과 TruScreen은 자궁경부상피내종양 1 이상의 병변에 대한 선별검사에서 자궁경부세포검사의 한계를 보완해 줄 방법으로 사용될 가능성이 있다. 향후 추가적인 연구가 필요하다. Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of a real-time optoelectronic device (TruScreen) as a diagnostic tool of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) or cervical cancer. Methods: Two hundred ninety two patients who had been presented with previously abnormal Papanicolaou (Pap) smear or abnormal colposcopic findings between February 2009 and September 2009 were analyzed. The sensitivities, specificities and accuracies of TruScreen and liquid-based cytology were evaluated. Results: As a diagnostic tool of CIN, carcinoma in situ (CIS), and cervical cancer, TruScreen appeared sensitive enough compared with liquid-based cytology (82.8% vs 75.9%), but the difference is statistically not significant (P=0.687). Specificity and accuracy of TruScreen were similar to those of liquid-based cytology (specificity 81.4% vs 83.3%, accuracy 81.5% vs 82.5%). Conclusion: The present study suggests that the TruScreen could be an option as a tool of screening test in CIN, CIS, and cervical cancer and also be used combined with Pap smear.

        Testicular regression syndrome is representative of a clinical range of 46,XY agonadal persons, in which the testes of the victim`s are irreparably damaged at a critical stage in fetal development. The critical stage of testicular regression syndrome is represented by a range of abnormalities of genital development. Recently, we experienced a case of early fetal testicular regression syndrome with no definite gonad and a cloacal anomaly associated with imperforate anus, so we present it with brief review of literature.

        걷기교실 참여가 과체중 여아의 신체활동량과 신체기능 및 보행기능에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of walking calss participation on physical activity and physical function and gait function in overweight girl. Sixteen overweight girl were assigned in walking calss group(n=8), and control group(n=8). The exercise program consisted of walking class program 60min/session, 3 days each week for 12 weeks. The results of this study were as follow: In body composition, weight(p<.01), body mass index(p<.01), percent fat(p<.01), and lean body mass(p<.05) had a statistically significant differences between the two groups. In daily physical activity and physical function and gait function, step count(p<.01), MVPA(p<.01), lower limb muscle strength(p<.05), maximal gait speed(p<.05), stance phase duration(p<.05), and Swing phase duration(p<.05) had a statistically significant differences between the two groups. These findings suggest that walking class program may represent an effective intervention strategy for body composition and daily physical activity and physical function and gait function. Finally, the effect of longer-term modifications of walking exercise program on regular physical activity.

        경계성 난소종양에서 보존적 치료방침의 중요성

        Objectives: To clarify the clinicopathologic features of borderline malignancy of the ovary and analyze the treatment and survival characteristics through the study of our cases. Study Methods: 102 patients with borderline tumors of the ovary, aged from 14 to 79 years, treated between 1982 and 1999 at Seoul National University Hospital, were analyzed retrospectively for clinicopathologic features. Most informations about stage, treatment modality and prognosis were obtained by hospital record or contacting patient with telephone. Results: There were 77 patients (75.5%) with stage Ia, 5 stage Ib, 11 stage Ic, 4 with stage II and 5 with stage III by the classification of FIGO. 72 patients (70.6%) were mucinous type and 28 (27.5%) were serous type, 1 endometrioid type, 1 mixed. Total abdominal hysterectomy, bilateral adnexectomy, and omentectomy were performed in 43 (42.2%) patients and fertility saving surgery in 43 patients(cystectomy in 11 patients, USO in 32 patients). Twenty two patients (21.6%) were treated with postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy. The median duration of follow up was 54.0 months (1-204 months) and 6 patients developed recurrence after several years from the primary operation. The ten-year eumulative survival rate was 92.2% and the only independent prognostic factors evaluated by Cox analysis in regards to corrected survival were the FIGO stage (p=0.0197). There was no difference in the ten-year survival rate between surgery types - conservative surgery versus full surgical staging. And there was no difference in the 10-year survival rate between treatment groups - surgery only versus surgery followed by adjuvant chemotherapy. Conclusions: FIGO stage is the only independent prognostic factor in the borderline ovarian tumors. There was no difference in the 10-year survival rate of barderline ovarian tumors between surgery alone versus surgery followed by adjuvant chemothearpy. The slow clinical course, low recurrence rate and good prognosis in our patients explained again the reason for therapeutic approach relying on surgery alone.

        Paclitaxel-carboplatin 복합항암화학요법에 반응한 재발성 자궁경부암 1례

        We report the case of a patient with a recurrent squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix, FIGO stage IIa, that metastasized to both lung fields 5 years after primary radical hysterectomy and adjuvant pelvic irradiation. The tumor was resistant to UFT-cisplatin regimen. We used a combination of paclitaxel (175mg/m2 intravenous infusion over 3 hours) and carboplatin with a target area under the curve of 4.5 μg-h/ml and repeated every 3 weeks. The patient well tolerated the chemotherapy with minor neurologic side effect and myelosuppression controlled by granulocyte colony-stimulating factor. The disease went into remission. Thus, the combination of paclitaxel and carboplatin may be a good combination in recurrent or advanced squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix.
