        Man-in-Simulant Test(MIST) 실험을 위한 다양한 흡착제의 화학증기 흡착용 샘플러 제작

        We have developed a cost-effective and facile method to manufacture a pouch-type chemical vapor sampler. Originally, the sampler was developed by U. S. Army Natick Soldier Research, Development, and Engineering Center(NSRDEC) to determine the protective capability of individual protective ensembles or Man-in-Simulant Test (MIST). They used a selectively permeable high density polyethylene(HDPE) as front membrane and aluminum/ Nylon barrier film as an impermeable back sheet in order to mimic the actual adsorption process that occurs when the skin is exposed to chemical weapons. However, it costs over twenty dollars per sampler and the minimum of quantity is 2500 per order. In addition, it is inconvenient to employ a variety of adsorbents into the sampler, which could prevent MIST researchers to do various tests for development of MIST methodologies. Here, we report the simple method to manufacture the sampler in a laboratory scale. All the materials we used are easily obtainable and inexpensive. In addition, all the procedures we perform are generally known. We used methyl salicylate(MeS) vapor to be adsorbed into the sampler and employed several different adsorbents to evaluate the performance of samplers. The results obtained by home-made samplers and commercially avaliable one showed no significant differences. Also, MeS vapor was selectively adsorbed into the sampler depending on adsorbents. We conclude that home-made samplers are capable of collecting any kind of chemical vapor for a variety of purposes.

        교과기반 학습성취 평가 및 적응형 피드백 시스템 설계

        The research of course-embedded learning evaluation method, which can be used to measure the competency of learners by evaluation of learning outcomes, has been performed for competency-based education in the university. In this paper, we propose an learning evaluation and adaptive feedback model based on learning outcomes, learning subjects, learning concepts graph, and an evaluation matrix. Firstly, we define the layered learning outcomes, a graph of learning subjects and concepts, and two association matric. Secondly, we define algorithms to calculate the level of learning achievement and the learning feedback to learners. We applied the proposed method to a specific course, "Java Programing", to validate the effectiveness of our method. The experimental results show that our proposed method can be useful to measure the learning achievement of learners and provide adaptive feedbacks to them.

        담금액 온도에 따른 히카마 피클의 저장 중 품질변화

        This study was carried out to determine the optimum temperature of the jicama pickle solution by evaluating physicochemical and sensory characteristics at various temperatures. The soaking solution of the jicama pickle was prepared at different temperatures (95, 75, 50, and 25℃). During storage, the titratable acidity, Brix, and the salinity of the jicama pickles increased, and these values increased with increasing temperature of the soaking solution. The higher the temperature of the soaking solution, the lower the L and b values. In all samples, the hardness increased rapidly until the 5th day of storage, and then gradually decreased. During storage, the jicama pickles showed a high tendency to harden at soaking solution temperatures of 75 and 95℃. Sensory evaluation indicated that the taste, flavor, crispness, and overall preference of the jicama pickle were higher at a soaking solution temperature of 75℃ and above. The higher the temperature of the soaking solution, the higher the acceptability. Based on these results, we conclude that soaking solution temperature of 75°¦95℃ in the manufacture of jicama pickles had a positive effect on the reduction in tissue softening and the sensory properties of the jicama pickle.

        미국과 한국의 이공계 대학 글쓰기 교육 비교

        The main purpose of this essay is to analyze difference of the college-level engineering writing between the US and Korea, especially in terms of textbook and curriculum. I specifically compared curriculum between University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) and YonSei University. Moreover, I used [Key For Writers] (Ann Raimes, Boston: Houghton Miffin, 2004, 4th Edition), [University Writing] (Jung Hee Mo, Sam In, 2009), and [Science Writing](Shin Hyung Gi, Science books, 2006) to analyze college writing textbooks. Engineering students in UIUC required taking at least two composition courses to graduate, which are Composition I and Advanced Composition. Each class provide for approximately 20 students. The class deliver lecture along with discussion, presentation, assignment, and feedback. [Keys for Writers] have two parts. First one is Writing Process/Working with Source which suggests strategies to construct outline of the writing and to find useful information. Another part is Sentence-Level Issues which explains how to write persuasive and proper sentences. On the other hands, Yonsei University offers ‘Writing’ as a required general education course to freshman and ‘Science Writing’ as an elective course to higher grade. Each ‘Writing’ class is limited to 25 students. The class deliver lecture along with group activity, group presentation, writing training and practice, mutual correction, and review. The number of students in a class and curriculum are little different in essence compared with UIUC. A required textbook, ‘University Writing’ (Jung Hee Mo, Sam In, 2009) have three parts which are requisites for good writing, understanding about writing process, and strategies to academic writing. Even though there is no great difference between the two universities in textbook and curriculum, textbook used in UIUC consists of more practical and the manner of lecturing in UIUC are more diverse and compound. Especially, UIUC students are able to choose advanced course related to their major freely after taking basic course. However, Yonsei University offers students only ‘Science Writing’ which gives undue value to science.

        박태원 소설에 나타난 연속성과 불연속성(1) - 월북 후 소설을 중심으로

          The current study hypothesized that the Pak Tae-Won’s literature written in North Korea has a continuity of the work world of his works done in South Korea. The objective of this study is to examine of what kind of continuity and/or discontinuity of his works between them.<BR>  In the novel of 「Fatherland Flag」, which is based on Korean war, Pak Tae-Won expressed the nostalgia toward the family and the hostility against the U.S. army, which is a continuous characteristic of his view of point toward the West culture. More specifically, through this novel, he stressed that the West destroys the nepotism of the traditional value.<BR>  Pak Tae-Won reworked his previous literature published in South Korea such as 『General Rhee Sun-Shin』 and 『The fatherland warfare at Yim-Jin year』. While they shared the same contents with his South Korean ones, 『General Lee Sun-Shin』 and 『Yim-Jin Battle』, there is a difference in terms of the focus in between ones from North Korean and ones from South Korea. The difference is as following: The literature from South Korea emphasized the nationalism. In the other hand, the literature from North Korea stressed the heroism of General Rhee, the hatreds against a ruling class, the independency of the people, the importance of P"yongyang Castle recapture and the military cooperation with Myung Dynasty (China). All reflect the political situation of the North Korea literary policy which emphasizes the patriotism as well as nationalism and the amicable relationship with China.<BR>  Pak Tae-Won continued the author ceremony from South Korea while accommodating the liberal arts policy of North Korea. His work from North Korea still had the same author ceremony by focusing on everyday life, traditional values and familism which were shown in his literature back in South Korea. In addition, his writing done in North Korea emphasizes anationalism and a sense of class distinction.

        2011 개정 국어과 교육과정에 따른 문학 영역과 교과서의 양상

        이 글의 논점은 크게 두 가지이다. 하나는 2011 개정 교육과정에서 <국어>Ⅰ·Ⅱ 교과목의 정체성을 살펴보고, ‘문학’ 영역과 관련하여 내용체계와 세부내용이 어떻게 설정되어 있는지를 짚어보는 것이고, 다른 하나는 <국어>Ⅰ·Ⅱ 11종 교과서에 수록된 현대소설을 중심으로 교과서의 구성 체계와 소설교육의 방향을 비판적으로 검토하는 것이다. 2011 개정 국어과 교육과정에서 고등학교의 모든 국어 과목은 선택교육 과정으로 설정되어 있다. 그리고 <국어>Ⅰ는 일반적인 교양수준의 국어능력, <국어>Ⅱ는 심화 수준의 국어능력을 배양하는 데에 목표를 두고 있다. <국어>Ⅰ에서 ‘문학’ 영역의 내용체계는 문학 갈래의 이해. 작가의 개성이해와 작품 감상, 문학과 사회적 소통, <국어>Ⅱ에서는 한국문학의 전승과 흐름. 문학의 효용과 문학 활동. 문학 감상과 비평적 태도로 설정되어 있다. 각 교과서들은 ‘문학’ 영역을 독립적인 대단원으로 설정하는 경우보다는 다른 영역과 통합하여 설정하고 있다. 또한 다섯 영역 중에 문학 영역과 관련한 대단원을 가장 많이 설정하고 있는데, 이것은 여전히 문학이 차지하는 비중이 높다는 것을 의미한다. 11종 교과서에 현대소설 수록 편수는 <국어>Ⅰ에 19편, <국어>Ⅱ에 14편, 총 33편, 평균 1.5편으로 2009교육과정에 비하여 40%가 축소되었다. 또한 그동안 정전으로 평가받아온 이광수, 김동인, 현진건, 채만식의 소설들은 거의 배제되고, 동시대 작가들의 작품이 많이 수록되고 있다. 현대소설 수록이 줄면서 각 교과서들은 다른 장르와 연계하거나 성취기준을 통합적으로 고려한 학습활동을 제시하고 있다. 또한 <국어>Ⅰ·Ⅱ 교과목은 서로 다른 목표와 성취기준이 설정되어 있지만, 일부 교과서는 이러한 점을 고려하지 않고 있다. There were two major objectives of this study. One was to examine the identity of Korean I?II subject in the revised 2011 curriculum, along with systems of content and detailed contents with regard to literature part. The other was to review critically the configuration of a textbook and direction of novel education focusing on contemporary novels included in 11 Korean I?II textbooks. Thereby, an ultimate objective of this study was to figure out how the status of literature education changed according to the revised 2011 Korean curriculum. This study gave attention to correlation between curriculum and textbook because a textbook is the core to realize learning and teaching. Although high school Korean I?II came under elective curriculum in the revised 2011, these were nearly handed Korean top, bottom which were common subjects in the revised 2009 curriculum. Korean I aimed to develop general Korean ability, and included understanding the genre of literature, understanding personality of authors, appreciating works, and social communication with novels in literature part. Whereas, Korean II aimed to develop deepen Korean ability, and included the transmission of contemporary Korean literature, the utility of literature, and a critical attitude of mind for literature. 19 contemporary novels were contained in Korean I, 14 ones were in Korean II. Because all Korean textbooks were published in 11 companies, it was 1.5 novels per a textbook on average. It was 40% reduced compared with the 2009 revised, and revealed how much the status of literature education weakened in Korean textbook. Novels were mainly included in ‘Sections of Literature’ unit in Korean I, and ‘Reception and production’ unit in Korean II. However, because the number of contents was reduced drastically, some textbook didn’t reflect sufficiently content system and achievement standard. Moreover, even though there were difference goal and achievement standard between Korean I and Korean II, some textbook didn’t consider it. Most of all, the biggest problem was that textbooks’ composition for literature didn’t fulfill achievement standard of curriculum due to concentrating development of an event, personal character, and technique of expression mostly. As much as reduced number of novels, textbook should contain appropriate novels that satisfy contents to learn in novel genre. Moreover, if a textbook contains only one or two novels, it should present learning goal consider of achievement standard comprehensively, or provide complementing questions in learning activity.

      • 한국인에서의 DNA repair gene(hMLH, hMSH2 및 ATM)의 Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms(SNPs)의 빈도

        Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) are alterations in DNA base that occur most frequently throughout the human genome. The SNPs of DNA repair genes, hMLH1, hMSH2 and ATM, among 100 Korean people were analyzed using Dynamic Allele specific Hybridization (DASH) techniques. Mutation at the position of exon 38 (GA) and exon 10 (CG) of ATM gene, mutation at the position of exon 8 (AG), and exon 1 (AG) of hMLH1 gene and exon 14 (AG) of hMSH2 gene were investigated. No mutation at the selected position of ATM gene and hMSH1 gene was found . However, while there was no mutation at the position of exon of hMSH2 gene, mutation was found at the promotion region (CT) with the frequency of 24% CC, 36% CT and 62% TT genotyes. This results might be used as baseline data for research on SNP of Korean population.

        경산 소월리 목간의 서예사적 고찰

        경상북도 경산시 소월리 유적에서 출토된 1점의 6세기 신라 목간은 이전에 출토된 신라 목간들과는 달리 중간이 휘어진 막대형인 점이 특이하다. 목간의 길이는 74.2cm로 현전하는 한국 목간 가운데 가장 길다. 이 글은 이 목간 글씨의 서예적 면모를 살펴보기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 서사면이 손질된 오면에 적힌 약 100자의 묵서를 분류, 분석하고 이전에 출토된 동시기 다른 신라 목간 글씨와의 비교를 시도했다. 목간 4, 5면 하부에 몇 자의 습서가 있지만, 내용으로 보아 문서로 여기는 소월리목간은 초서 필의가 강한 행서로 쓰였다. 주로 해서 필의가 강한 행서로 쓰인 이전의 동시기 신라 목간 글씨와는 분위기가 사뭇 다르다. 그리고 부분적으로 해서, 예서, 전서의 필법으로 쓰인 글자들도 있어 다양한 서체가 융합되어 있다. 목간의 길이가 길어 세로 서사 공간이 넉넉하고, 자형은 자연스럽게 장방형이 주를 이룬다. 글자 크기와 길이에 변화가 많고, 운필은 노련하고 속도감이 있다. 필획은 노봉과 장봉을 혼용하고, 필세도 앙·평·부세를 임의로 구사했다. 전체적으로 글씨가 유려하면서 꾸밈이 없고, 자유분방하면서 편안하다. 서자는 장형 목간에 자신의 실력을 유감없이 발휘했고, 이를 통해 신라의 서예가 상당한 경지에 이르렀음을 알 수 있다. 신라 목간 가운데 행초 위주인 첩의 성격을 가장 많이 띠고 있는 소월리목간 글씨는 6세기 신라에서 행서와 초서가 상용되었다는 것을 말해준다. 비록 1점이지만 목간의 묵서가 초서 필의가 강한 행서로 쓰인 첫 신라 글씨라는 점에서 그 서예사적 의의는 상당히 크다. This paper investigates the calligraphic script and style of a wooden tablet from 6th-century Silla that has been excavated at Sowol-ri, Gyeongsan-si. There are about 100 characters written on the five sides of the tablet. By analyzing it in depth and comparing it with other contemporary wooden tablets from Silla, it has been possible to establish its calligraphic characteristics. The table under study is the longest wooden tablet in the history of Korean calligraphy. Although the upper part was broken, it is as long as 74.2 cm, which means that the writing space is more than sufficient. Regardless of the characters written in the lower part of sides 4 and 5 for practice, the content suggests that it is an official document, which was mainly written in the running script with the brush touch of the cursive script. It is different from other wooden tablets of Silla, which are written in the running script with the brush touch of the regular script. The brush movement is skillful and fast and the size of the characters varies. There are both apparent and hidden brush strokes, which may go up, horizontally and down. Overall, the writing is smooth and powerful as well as comfortable and freewheeling. The Sowol-ri Wooden Tablet shows that the calligraphy in Silla had reached a considerable level of development by the 6th century. Among all the wooden tablets from Silla, it is the only one that displays the characteristic of running and cursive scripts, showing that the two types of writing were widely used in Silla at that time. Its calligraphic value is priceless as it is the first tablet unearthed which was written in the running script with the brush touch of the cursive script in the history of Silla calligraphy.

        신라하대 寶林寺 금석문의 서체와 그 서풍

        본고는 신라하대에 설립된 九山禪門 가운데 가장 먼저 개창된 迦智山門 寶林寺에 있는 세 금석문의 서체와 그 서풍을 재고찰하기 위한 것이다. 〈鐵造毘盧舍那佛造像記〉(859)와 〈南北塔誌〉(870)는 구양순풍 해서로 쓰였고, 〈普照禪師彰聖塔碑〉(884)는 김원의 구양순풍 해서와 김언경의 왕희지풍 행서 두 서체가 한 비에 쓰였다는 것이 대부분의 기왕의 주장이었다. 그러나 김언경의 글씨가 저수량풍이라는 견해도 있었다. 필자는 본고에서 〈철조비로자나불조상기〉와 〈남북탑지〉는 북위풍과 고신라풍인 고풍의 해서로 쓰였고, 〈보조선사창성탑비〉는 김원의 구양순풍 해서와 김언경의 저수량풍 해서 즉 해서라는 한 서체에 그 서풍이 다를 뿐이라는 것을 증명하고자 한다. 특히 저수량풍인 김언경 해서의 행기는 왕희지풍은 물론 통일신라의 행서 명가인 김생과 석영업의 행서풍도 같이 품고 있다는 것도 밝힐 것이다. 이로써 보림사를 개창한 체징을 기린 〈보조선사창성탑비〉는 그의 제자이자 조상 불사의 후원자인 김언경의 글씨로 인해 신라하대 선사비 가운데 서예사적으로 중요한 자리를 차지하고 있으며, 김원의 서풍과는 차별되는 독창적인 자가풍을 구사한 김언경은 이 한 작품만으로도 신라하대의 명필에 들 만하다는 것을 알게 될 것이다. This study is to reexamine the calligraphic script and its style of the three stone inscriptions of Borimsa at Gajisan in the Late Silla. Most of previous studies told us that both the Inscription of Seated Iron Vairocana Buddha Staue and Epitaphs of Southern and Northern Pagodas were written in regular script of Ou-yang Xun (歐陽詢, 557-641) style and the Stele of Changseong Pagoda for Bojo Priest in regular script of Ou-yang Xun style by Gim Won (金薳) and running script of Wang Xizhi (王羲之, 307-365) style by Gim Eon-gyeong (金彦卿), respectively. It means that the stele was written in two different scripts. But two scholars argued that Gim Eon-gyeong’s writing was written in Chu Suiliang (褚遂良, 596–658) style. However, I will find out that the former two were written in old style showing the Southern and Northern Dynasties style and Old Silla style and the third in regular script in different styles, which are Ou-yang Xun style by Gim Won and Chu Suiliang style with some characters in running script by Gim Eon-gyeong. Moreover, some characters in running script by Gim Eon-gyeong were written in not only Wang Xizhi style but Gim Saeng (金生) and Monk Yeong-eop (釋靈業) styles. At the end of this paper one will recognize that the Stele of Changseong Pagoda for Bojo Priest occupies a high position among the priest stelae of the Late Silla, due to the writing of Gim Eon-gyeong who is a disciple of Bojo Priest Chejing and financial patron for building the Seated Iron Vairocana Buddha Staue. In addition, one will also notice that Gim Eon-gyeong who created his own style differentiating with the style of Gim Won could be join the ranks of master calligraphers in the Late Silla.
