In this study, a turbine applicable to a supercritical ORC power generation system with higher power generation efficiency than the typical ORC power generation system was developed. This paper describes the turbine design, fabrication and performance tests for developing a 100kW class power generation turbine. R-1234ze(E) was selected as the working fluid in consideration of Global Warming Potential. The overall turbine expansion ratio was 9, and the turbine consisted of a two-stage centrifugal turbine. The magnetic bearings were installed, and the turbine and generator were assembled into a single casing. The rotation speed was selected as 36,000rpm through the specific speed and the specific diameter analysis. Based on these analysis results, one-dimensional design, three-dimensional shape design, and three-dimensional performance analysis were conducted. Turbine components were fabricated based on CAD drawings and three-dimensional modeling. The assembled turbine was installed in a supercritical ORC power generation system. The cooling tubes were additionally installed to maintain a stable temperature inside the turbine. Through the performance test, it was confirmed that the developed turbine generated electric power of 100kW. In this paper, important matters to be considered when developing turbines for supercritical ORC power generation system were specifically mentioned.

압축기에 불안정한 특성인 선회실속(Rotating stall)이 발생하면 압력 및 효율이 저하되고, 기계적인 손상도 야기한다. 이러한 불안정성을 개선하고 안정 운전영역을 넓히기 위해 4단 저속 축류압축기에 공기 분사(Air injection) 방법을 적용하여 안정성 개선 실험을 실시하였다. 동익 팁에 축방향으로 공기를 분사할 수 있도록 하기 위해 코안다 효과를 적용한 노즐을 사용하였고, 8개의 인젝터를 1단 동익 상단에 등간격으로 설치하였다. 축류 압축기 80% speed로 운전하면서 선회실속이 발생하기 전에 공기 분사를 실시하였고, 모드(Mode) 발생 유량의 5.4%에 해당하는 공기를 분사하여 약 4%의 안정성 개선효과를 얻었다. A rotating stall, an instable phenomenon of compressor, brings about reducing the pressure rise, the efficiency of compressor and a mechanical demage. In order to improve instability and extend operating range, it was performed that a stability enhancement experiment applying air injection method at the 4-stage low-speed axial compressor. The coanda nozzle was used to inject air in axial direction at rotor tip and 8 injectors were set up at regular interval at the upstream of 1st stage rotor. At 80% speed, injectors were worked before rotating stall happened. As injecting the 5.4% air of mode inception flow rate, the stability of compressor operation enhanced about 4%.
대몽항쟁 연구의 이정표 수립 - 「몽고(蒙古)의 침입(侵入)에 대한 항쟁(抗爭)」재조명 -

As widely known, Kang, Jin-chul devoted his life to the study of the land system in the period of Goryeo and left a clear footprint in the history of the Korean history study through his various articles. When he originally initiated his study of history, he had an interest primarily in the external factors that influenced the Korean Peninsula and later published a paper on the issues of the foreign relations once. Although shortly after that, he changed the object of his study into the land system to strive to concentrate on clarifying the internal factors that have helped develop the Korean society, other occasions made his experience of studying foreign relations see the light of the day again. Beginning in 1969, the National Institute of Korean History has planned a project to compile The Korean History, covering all the achievements by the existing studies of the Korean history and selected and asked some experts to write it. At the time, Kang, Jin-chul came to write The Struggle against the Mongolian Invasion while in charge of the Anti-Mongol Struggle along with the social and economic field. Up to that time, studies of the Anti-Mongol Struggle had been little more than the descriptions by foreign scholars from the perspective of the Mongolian, the invaders, or had been made by a few scholars who reviewed only a tiny portion of the entire period of the Invasion. In the meantime, North Korean scholars had studied it in the way of highlighting the sentiment of anti-foreign powers and anti-feudalism, based on the socialist view of history. Therefore, it was necessary to make a comprehensive and objective description covering the entire period of the Anti-Mongol Struggle from the standpoint of people of Goryeo. In this regard, reflecting the achievements of the previous studies, Kang, Jin-chul systematically summarized not only the international situation of East Asia in the 13th century but also about 40 years of the process of the Anti-Mongol Struggle from 1231 to 1273 in chronological order. In addition, he made a description from the perspective of Goryeo`s struggle against the Mongolian Invasion and in particular, re-illuminated the subjugated populace as the main players of the Struggle, not the Military Rule of the Chois, For a quite while, his writings not only have served as both a primer and a must-read for understanding the Anti-Mongol Struggle and but also have also been quoted almost thoroughly by the related studies. Nevertheless, they are listed in the general statements, and it is judged that they are relatively overshadowed by the achievements of his studies of the land system and thus do not receive proper credits. Based on this problem recognition, this paper reviewed how much significance Kang, Jin-chul`s The Struggle against the Mongolian Invasion has had on the history of such research and what effects it has had on the follow-up studies.
초임계 CO<sub>2</sub> 발전용 파워터빈을 지지하는 틸팅패드 베어링의 열윤활 해석 및 패드 온도 측정

This paper presents the thermohydrodynamic analysis of tilting journal pad bearings supporting a power turbine rotor applied to a 250 kW super-critical $CO_2$ cycle. In the analysis, the generalized Reynolds equation and 3D energy equation are solved to predict oil film temperature and the 3D heat conduction equation is solved for pad temperature. The power turbine rotor is supported by two tilting pad bearings consisting of five pads with an oil supply block between the pads. Copper backing pads with higher thermal conductivity compared to steel backing pads are adopted to improve thermal management. The predicted maximum pad temperature is around $55^{\circ}C$ which is approximately $15^{\circ}C$ higher than oil supply temperature. In addition, the predicted minimum film thickness is 50 mm at a rotating speed of 5,000 rpm. These results indicate that there is no issue in the thermal behavior of the bearing. An operation test is performed with a power turbine module consisting of a power turbine, a reduction gear and a generator. Thermocouples are installed at the 75% position from the leading edge of the pad to monitor pad temperature. The power turbine uses compressed air at a temperature of $250^{\circ}C$ in its operation. The steady state pad temperatures measured in the test show good agreement with the predicted temperatures.
