Predicting where and when a crime may occur in an area of interest is one of many strategies of predictive policing. Multidimensional analysis, including CCTV, can overcome the limitations of hotspot prediction, especially of violent crimes. In order to identify the precursors of a crime, it is necessary to analyze dynamic data such as attributes and activities of people, social information, environmental information, traffic flows, and weather. These parameters can be recognized by CCTV. In addition, it provides accurate analysis of the circumstances of a crime in a dynamic situation, calculates the risk, and predicts the probability of a crime occurring in the near future. Additionally, it provides ways to gather historical criminal datasets, including sensitive personal information.

Rapid increase of the mass storage devices is difficult for forensic examiners to find important evidence. The examiner needs much time to search files that related to the crime in a variety of storage device. Recently, NIST has developed a new database NSRL which contains hashes of trusted operating systems and programs[1]. With disclosing NSRL, they provide support for the examiners analyzing object files less file searching time in the digital evidence and detecting forgery. Thus an accidental or intentional change to the files will almost certainly change the hash value in cryptographic hash function. The similarity is not because of the characteristics of hash value detected. By considering the known fuzzy hashing and statistical analysis, we present a method which detected similar files. In this paper, we develop a similar files detection tool that detected damaged and intentional changed files.

Residential cogeneration system is a valuable method to use electrical power and hot water simultaneously. The electric power was made by mechanical engine, fuel cell, and photovoltaic etc. Among them we are interested in the fuel cell cogeneration system especially heat storage unit using condensing gas boiler. To study on the fuel cell residential cogeneration system, we made a heat storage unit which consists of storage tank, condensing gas boiler, water pump, heat exchanger, and piping system. Experiment was done in each component of heat storage system such as tank, water pump, heat exchange and system characteristics of floor heating and hot water supply operating with condensing gas boiler. And then we made 1㎾ PEMFC (Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell) stack with water cooling system which will be linked with heat storage unit. Residential fuel cell power generation systems may be more and more feasible home appliances in the future.

Background: To date, there are few data on the risk factors for severe cases and deaths associated with the 2009 pandemic H1N1 influenza A. Here, we describe the clinical and epidemiologic characteristics of patients hospitalized for pneumonia and identify those factors associated with the development of major complications (MC). Methods: We reviewed the medical records of 41 cases of pneumonia admitted to a university-affiliated tertiary hospital between Aug 26 and Dec 10, 2009, and who had confirmed H1N1 influenza A based on real-time reverse transcriptase-polymerase-chain-reaction assay. There were 7,962 patients that fit these criteria. We compared the clinical features and demographic characteristics of patients who developed MC to with those who did not develop MC. Results: During the study period, 10 patients developed MC (required admission to the intensive care unit, n=10; required ventilator therapy, n=6; death, n=4). Patients with MC were significantly older than those without MC and more frequently had underlying medical conditions (90.0% vs 41.9%, p-value <0.01). In the patients with developed MC, the median PaO2/FiO2 ratio of 230.0 (145.0∼347.3) at admission and pneumonia severity index (PSI) score of 141.5 (88.3∼158.5) were higher than patients without MC. However, no differences were observed in laboratory findings or in viral shedding between the 2 groups. Conclusion: In hospitalized pneumonia patients of 2009 H1N1 influenza, old age, a history of malignancy, initial hypoxemia, PaO2/FiO2 ratio, and PSI score appear to be risk factor significantly related to developing MC. These findings might be the basis to influence strategies for admitting patients to an intensive or intermediate care unit and for pre-emptive antiviral therapy.
소방헬기를 이용하여 직접 내원한 외상환자의 분석: 3차 의료기관으로의 이송의 적절성 평가

Purpose: The number of patients transported by the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) has increased recently. In our review of the Korean HEMS, there was no established helicopter utilization criteria or triage tool on the scene, so many patients with minor injuries were transported to tertiary care centers. The aim of this study is to evaluate the percentage of patients with minor injuries and to propose a more appropriate triage tool for predicting the need for transport to a tertiary care center. Methods: The subjects of this study were 59 trauma patients transported to Asan Medical Center (AMC) from the scene by Seoul HEMS from January 2004 to December 2005. The Triage score (TS), Injury Severity Score (ISS), and modified Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (mCTAS) were calculated as severity scales. Patients with minor injuries were defined as those with TS=9, ISS≤15, and mCTAS≥3. We evaluated the association of TS, ISS, and mCTAS with the appropriateness of transport. Results: Many of the patients transported to tertiary medical centers were classified as having a minor injury: TS=9 group 35 cases (72.9%), ISS≤15 group 30 cases (62.5%) and mCTAS≥3 group 27 cases (56.2%). However, 56.2% (27/59) of the patients were appropriately transported according to need for admission or an operation. The more severely injured patients classified by TS, ISS, and mCTAS were more appropriately transported to a tertiary center (p<0.05). Conclusion: Many patients with minor injuries were transported to a tertiary center from the scene directly. The TS can be easily calculated by an emergency medical technician at the scene. Thus, we propose the TS as a useful triage tool for determining the necessity of transport to a tertiary center by helicopter. (J Korean Soc Traumatol 2006;19:159-163)

EVOP is a work process operation method to improve productivity and quality of product by changing minutely the activity levels of each factor. As a kind of experimental designs, this method can be used in the plant as well as laboratory to develop optimum work process conditions. EVOP method usually uses two or three factors, and for these cases Box and Hunter show how this method is facilitated by using simplified calculation rules and graphical presentations. But the numbers of actual factors impacting on the work process are more than four, therefore, this thesis is dealing with EVOP model with more than four factors by adjusting calculation rules. This adjusted EVOP model was empirically applied in H-chemical synthetic fiber industry. This empirical application of the model has brought the improvement of productivity and quality in the industry. The data of this empirical research were processed by NEC-100 computer.

So, we preponderantly studied on practical use of two-way factorial design of this method, as case study we studied on S-nylon company.
