Granular cell tumor or also called Abrikossoff's tumor, is a rare benign tumor that can occur anywhere in the body. Granular cell tumor may single or multiple (synchronous or metachronous). Approximately half of all granular cell tumors occur in the head and neck. most commonly in the tongue. But granular cell tumors of the larynx are rare, accounting for only 7 to 10% of all reported cases. Laryngeal tumors are usually small and men are more frequently affected than women. The exact histogenesis is still not known but most recent data support the neurogenic Schwann cell origin. The preferred treatment is local excision using cold knife or laser. Radiation therapy is of little benefit. We report a case of granular cell tumor of the larynx which was confirmed by histopathology.
Two Cases of Foreign Body in the Ethmoid Sinus
유화경,김재호,조성래,이봉재 대한비과학회 1994 Journal of rhinology Vol.1 No.2
The commonly reported foreign bodies in paranasal sinuses were bullets, shell fragments, shrapnel fragments of windshield glass. Diagnosis may be difficult in patients with long-standing foreign bodies when they are asymptomatic or the initiating incident has been forgotten. Authors experienced two cases of foreign body impaction in the ethmoid sinus. One case was wooden chopstick penetrating through the lower eyelid 5 years ago, which was successfully removed via external ethmoidectomy. The other was intraethmoid metallic foreign body(bullet of air gun) and it was completely remove using the endoscope.

The auditory brainstem responses (ABR) are thought to be the far field refraction of electrical events originating from auditory pathway through the brainstem. The ABR has been used clinically in the identification and diagnosis of hearing loss. ABR threshold has been used to estimate the magnitude of hearing loss. Thresholds of ABR and pure tone behavioral audiogram (PTA) were compared in normal persons and in patients with sensorineural hearing loss. Click-evoked ABR thresholds appeared to be related most closely to the audiometric thresholds at 2 kHz, with relatively poor agreement at 8 kHz. This conclusion is based upon the observation that this comparison resulted in the smallest variance and the highest correlation.
