건강한 남성에서 혈중 감마지티피 수준과 공복혈당장애 (IFG)의 발생 위험도: 2년 추적 연구

Objectives: An increase in the serum gamma-glutamyltransferase (GGT) concentration has been regarded as a marker of alcohol drinking or liver disease. Some reports, however, have suggested that the serum GGT may be a sensitive and early biomarker for the development of prediabetes and diabetes. In this study we investigated whether serum GGT is a reliable predictor of the incident impaired fasting glucose (IFG), including diabetes. Methods: We performed a prospective study for two years (2002-2004). We analyzed the periodic health examination data from a total of 4,711 men. The examinations were done in the years 2002 and 2004. The analyzed data included a self-questionnaire, a physical examination and the laboratory results. Both IFG and diabetes were defined as a serum fasting glucose concentration of more than 100 mg/dL and 126 mg/dL, respectively. Results: A total of 738 cases (15.7%) of incident IFG and 13 cases (0.3%) of diabetes occurred. The mean serum GGT concentrations were quite different between the normal (38.0 IU) and incident IFG groups (50.3 IU), and the incident diabetes group (66.0 IU) (p<0.001). After multivariable adjustment, the relative risks for incident IFG or diabetes across the baseline GGT categories (<10th, 10th-20th, 30th-40th, 50th-60th, 70th-80th and >90th percentile) were 1.0, 1.172 (0.769-1.785), 1.107 (0.725-1.689), 1.444 (0.934-2.232), 2.061 (1.401-3.031) and 2.545 (1.784-3.631) (p-value for trend: <0.001). The risks significantly increased with increasing levels of GGT for 2 years; when comparing the increased groups (<10%, 10-20%, >20%) versus the decreased over 20% group of GGT, the risks for IFG or diabetes were 1.334 (1.002-1.776), 1.613 (1.183-2.199) and 1.399 (1.092-1.794). Conclusions: Our findings suggest that serum GGT concentrations within its normal range may be an early predictor of the development of IFG and diabetes. As serum GGT is a relatively inexpensive test and a reliable marker, it might have important implications in public health promotion.

흡연이 대학생들의 혈중 카드뮴 농도에 미치는 영향

Objectives : This study was performed to examine the influence of smoking on the blood cadmium concentration in university students. Methods : The study included 300 university students. A questionnaire interview was used to collect data. The urine cotinine and blood cadmium levels were measured as biological exposure indices. The data were analyzed using t-tests ANOVA and ANCOVA. Results : The median value of blood cadmium concentration was equal in both males and females ($0.8{\mu}g/l$). This level was relatively low in comparison with the reference value suggested by WHO (2001). ANCOVA showed that smoking related variables, urine cotinine and smoking amount, were significantly associated with the blood cadmium level (P=0.004, 0.015). However, the values with regard to traffic related air pollution were not significantly associated with the blood cadmium level. Conclusions : Smoking is an important source of nonoccupational cadmium exposure in young people. The Blood cadmium level is at least 10% higher in active smokers than in passive or nonsmokers. The level of urine cotinine can be used as an indicator of non-occupational exposure of respirable cadmium due to smoking, as there is a good correlation bestween smoking amount and the urine cotinine level.

클로로겐산이 함유된 피부 패치의 유용성 평가를 위한 연구

본 연구의 목적은 클로로겐산이 함유된 피부 패치를 피부에 부착하여 체지방과 체중에 미치는 변화를 규명하여, 유용성을 평가하는 것이다. 시험군 8명, 대조군 8명으로 총 16명의 대상자가 연구에 참여하였고, 연구 기간은 2020년 08월 03일부터 2020년 08월 31일까지 4주간 실시하였다. 군-간 효과검정 결과 체지방의 변화는 전체적으로 유의한 차이가 없었으나(F=4.38, p<.055), 1주 후와 4주 후 검사에서는 의미있는 변화(p<.001)가 있었다. 또한, 체중은 유의미한 차이로 시험군이 대조군보다 체중 감소가 큰 것으로 나타났다(F=9.43, p<.008). 이번 연구의 결과는 비만 관련 연구에 패치를 적용한 예비연구로써 의미가 있다고 할 수 있으며, 연구의 결과가 향후 연구될 피부 패치 연구의 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. The purpose of study was to evaluate the usefulness a skin patch containing chlorogenic acid to the skin to identify changes in body fat and weight. 16 volunteers, consisting of 8 experimental groups and 8 control groups, participated in the study, and the study period was conducted for 4 weeks from Aug 03, 2020 to Aug 31, 2020. As a result of the inter-group effect test, there was no significant difference in body fat (F=4.38, p<.055), but it can be said that the experimental group had a positive effect because the difference in posterior score was larger than that of the control group. In the change of body weight, it was found that there was a significant difference in weight loss in the experimental group (F=9.43, p<.008). It will be meaningful as a preliminary study applying patches to studies related to obesity, and we hope that the results of the study will be used as basic data for research on patch materials in the future.

This study has a purpose to grope for a plan that can activate Korean traditional music education, which is not good enough with school education, through the mass communication. Also, this study has the influence analysis of the mass communication to student, the relation to the mass communication and education, and the educational function of the mass communication in music. Therefore, this study gropes for using the music educational function of the mass communication as a way of educational supplementing the lacing part of Korean traditional music education in school education. This study is researched and analyzed problems of Korean traditional music broadcasting, the broadcasting time of Korean traditional music, the contents and quality of Korean traditional mass communication music, and the variety of contents that can make understand the several genres of Korean traditional music on the basis of the present situation of regular Korean traditional music programs(May. 2000-now)in Korean representative broadcasting studies KBS, MBC, SBS, and EBS. As a result, problems and improving plans are as follows. First, the number of Korean traditional music programs or the amount of its broadcasting time is absolutely low compared with other genres of music. There should be more programs or broadcasting time to form music culture by playing various music to the public as well as students. Second, the time zone of Korean traditional music broadcasting is mostly early in the morning or late at night. This gives on impression that each broadcasting system broadcasts Korean traditional music programs just for justifying itself. In the future, the broadcasting time of Korean traditional music should be modified so that all the family can have affection toward Korean traditional music. Third, certain program is composed only of items of entertainment to gain a better rating. In a case like this can damage the quality of our traditional music. Also, the programs mainly focuse on only certain parts of Korean traditional music in including Pansori, Folk song and Samulnori, and this can be an obstacle in understanding that Korean traditional music genre varies. Therefore, the future Korean traditional music programs should be selected more carefully. Finally, producers of Korean traditional music programs should have common sense on Korean traditional music and they need an expert's advice. More often than not, some examples show the distortion of tradition under the name of 'new'. Therefore, this study proposes how improve Korean traditional music programs.

『논어』 ‘북신(北辰)과 뭇별(衆星)’의 비유를 통해 본 정약용의 유위론

유가에서 정치란 나와 타자를 바루어 도덕적 사회를 구현하려는 사회철학적 실천론이다. 본고는 유학의 정치적 비전을 담은 『논어』의 ‘위정이덕’과 ‘무위이치’ 개념을 중심으로 회암과 다산의 상반된 정치 철학적 이해를 조명하고 다산이 어떤 해석적 지평을 통해 회암의 무위를 비판적으로 성찰하였는지 분석하였다. 다산은 행사적 덕론을 토대로 덕치의 유위적 측면에 집중한다. 『논어』의 위정이덕과 무위이치 분석을 통해 북신과 중성의 비유를 재맥락화하는 한편 역사적 기록을 열람하여 고대의 이상적 정치가 유위임을 논하였다. 북신을 북극으로 중성공지를 북신의 자전과 더불어 공전하는 여러 별로 해석하면서, 북신을 고정된 자기 자리를 점유하는 북극성으로 간주하여 이를 군주의 주정(主靜)적 무위론으로 이끌었던 회암의 논리에서 해방된다. 이렇게 성리학적 정치론의 자장에서 벗어난 다산은 적극적으로 현실 정치의 주체인 군주를 대변함으로써 도덕적 솔선수범뿐만 아니라 효·제·휼고 의례의 실천, 용인과 이재라는 실천적 방면으로 군주의 역할론을 확장시켰다. 마침내 그는 군주의 정무적 실천을 민의 도덕적 교화의 촉매로, 민의 도덕적 교화를 정무적 실천의 완성으로 통합하고 도덕적 작위와 정무적 작위 그 어느 것에도 소홀하지 않은, 이 모든 것을 관장할 유위적 존재로 군주를 재요청한다. 이로써 유능한 군주의 이상적 통치를 무위에서 유위로 전환하고 성리적 맥락에서 자연스레 소외되었던 군주를 정치 현장의 가장 중심으로 소환해 올 이론적 토대를 모색할 수 있었다. In Confucianism, Politics is a Politico-philosophical practice seeks to realize a moral ideal society by self-discipline and the other. This paper sheds light on the conflicting politico-Philosophical understanding between Zhu Xi and Dasan, focusing on the concept of Politics of virtue(德治) and Non-activity(無爲) in 『Analect』, which contains the political vision of Confucianism, and analyzes what interpretive basis Dasan surpassing Zhu Xi’s non-activity. Dasan focused on explaining ‘the role of sovereign’ based on the concept of virtue that emphasized actual practice. While recontextualizing the parable of the North Star and the stars and reading historical records, he tried to demonstrate the validity of the sovereign's political practice. Concretely he interpreted 'the North Star and the stars' as 'a specific point in the northern sky and the stars orbiting in a specific orbit’. From this, he was freed from the theory of Zhu Xi’s who led to the sovereign's political indifference. Dasan, deviated from Zhu Xi's theoretical magnetic field, actively represented the politics of the sovereign, highlighting the specific and diverse aspects of moral initiatives, filial piety, and rituals, and human resources affairs and financial management. Finally, he integrates ‘political practice as a catalyst for people's moral enlightenment’ and ‘people's moral enlightenment as the completion of political practice’ confirming the importance of the sovereign's retention as a contact point between scripture studies and the rule of state. As a result, he summoned the sovereign successfully who is alienated from real politics to the very center of politics.
