        연하장애를 동반한 중풍환자 3례에서의 두침 및 전침의 효과

        Objectives : Although dysphagia is a common complication in stroke patients, there are few studies or reports about its treatment in oriental medicine. This study was to report the effects of scalp-acupuncture and electro-acupuncture in stroke patients with dysphagia. Methods : Three stroke patients with dysphagia hospitalized in our hospital were treated by scalp-acupuncture and electro-acupuncture simultaneously every day, 5 times a week for 4 weeks. Results : All of them showed constant improvement during the four weeks. Not only did their objective measures improve, but also their subjective symptoms such as throat discomfort, sputum, swallowing disturbance etc. Conclusions : This suggests that scalp-acupuncture and electro-acupuncture are quite effective when treating stroke patients with dysphagia. More clinical data and studies are to be done for efficient application.

        예강지탕(銳降脂湯)이 고지혈증 SHR 및 항산화에 미치는 영향

        Objective : Yegangji-tang (YJT) is noted in China as effective medicine for hyperlipidemia. This experiment was performed to determine the effects of Yegangji-tang (銳降脂湯: YJT) on antioxidant activity and hyperlipidemia induced by hypercholesterolemic diet in mice. Methods : We observed three experimental groups: normal, control, and treatment. Rats were provided a normal diet in the normal group, and the other groups were provided a hypercholesterolemic diet to induce hyperlipidemia. After 2 weeks, YJT was treated to the treatment group. We observed the change of body and liver weight, change of serum total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol and triglycerides, lipid peroxidation and antioxidant activity of liver tissue, cholesterol gene revelation control efficiency, and histologic change of liver and abdominal aorta. Results : Total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol and triglycerides decreased significantly with YJT, whereas HDL cholesterol increased significantly. Lipid peroxidation decreased and antioxidant activity of the liver increased significantly. Gene revelation of ACAT and HMG-CoA reductase in hepatic tissue decreased significantly with YJT. We also found that tissue defects of the liver and abdominal aorta were controlled by YJT on histologic study. Conclusion : These results suggest that YJT might be effective in treatment and prevention of hyperlipidemia.

        실시간 탄성초음파를 이용한 만성 뇌졸중 후 편마비 환자의 상지 강직에 대한 사암침 효과 연구

        Objectives : To investigate the effects of Sa-am acupuncture on muscle architecture and elastic properties of the spastic elbow flexor and to evaluate the correlation between clinical findings and parameters of real-time sonoelastography (RTS) in patients with chronic post-stroke hemiparesis. Materials and Methods : Seven patients (five males, two females) with chronic post-stroke hemiparesis were included. Sa-am acupuncture of Ganseunggyeok (肝勝格: LU8 LR4 補, HT8 LR2 瀉) was applied to the unaffected side 3 times a week for 4 weeks. During each acupuncture treatment period, patients were requested to exercise their affected arm, and spasticity and functional recovery outcomes of the affected arm were evaluated before and after Sa-am acupuncture treatment. Clinical outcomes were assessed using motricity index (MI), modified Ashworth scale (MAS), Fugl-Meyer assessment scale (FMA) and modified Barthel index (MBI) for elbow flexor spasticity. RTS images indicate the relative hardness of the examined muscles ranged from red (hard) to purple (soft) for color-scale, and from black (hard) to white (soft) for hue scale. Color and hue histograms of the biceps brachii and brachialis were analyzed using Image J software, and median red, blue, and hue pixel intensity were obtained. Results : MI and FMA score significantly increased and MAS score significantly decreased (p<0.05). F-wave maximal amplitude of affected abductor pollicis brevis significantly decreased (p<0.05). Muscle thickness of affected brachialis significantly increased (p<0.05). Red and green pixel intensity of affected brachialis significantly decreased (p<0.05). Conclusions : Our study revealed that Sa-am acupuncture is effective as a useful and safe treatment for spasticity in chronic post-stroke hemiparesis.

        가미자음강화탕(加味滋陰降火湯)이 SHR의 혈압에 미치는 영향

        Objective : This study was done to investigate the effect of KJT on hypertension. Methods : Spontaneous Hypertensive Rats were sensitized and challenged with Kamijaeumganghwatang(KJT) for 5 weeks. Experimental group was treated with $200mg/day/2m{\ell}$ of KJT orally and control group was treated with $2m{\ell}/day$ of normal saline instead. Results : 1. KJT significantly showed significant protection against cytotoxicity and toxicity in the liver and the kidney. 2. KJT significantly decreased the blood pressure in SHR. 3. KJT significantly decreased the levels of aldosterone in SHR. 4. KJT significantly decreased the levels of dopamine, norepinephrine and epinephrine in SHR. 5. KJT significantly decreased the levels of sodium and potassium in SHR, but it did not decrease the levels of chloride in SHR. Levels of calcium in SHR increased, but only insignificantly. 6. KJT significantly decreased the levels of IL-6 in SHR, and significantly increased the levels of IL-10 in SHR. 7. For histological effects, KJT dillated capillary vessels in the kidney, significantly decreased eosinophilic changes in heart cells, and significantly decreased endothelial damage in the aorta. Conclusion: These results suggest that KJT is useful in treatment of hypertension.

        연구논문 : 한국 기업 내 사회적 책임 전담 부서의 설치

        이 연구는 한국 사업장 내의 사회적 책임 전담 부서의 설치 이유를 전략적 접근 방식과 신제도주의 접근 방식으로 분석한다. 2007년 한국 사업체패널에 수록된 종업원300인 이상인 487개의 사업장 중 53%가 사회적 책임 전담 부서를 설치하고 있다. 전략적 접근 방식에서는 사회적 책임을 통한 시장 전략의 효율성을 증가시키기 위해 사회적 책임 전담 부서를 조직 내에 설치한다고 설명하는 반면, 신제도주의 접근 방식에서는 기업의 사회적 책임에 대한 사회적 요구가 점증하고 이에 대한 반응으로 사업장내 사회적 책임 전담 부서가 설치된다고 설명한다. 본 논문에서는 두 가지 접근 방식에 기반한 가설을 도출하여 이항로지스틱 회귀분석(logistic regression analysis)을 실시하였고, 그 결과 사회적 책임 전담 부서는 전략적 필요에서뿐만 아니라 제도적 압력에 대한 대응으로 설치되고 있음을 발견하였다. 이 결과는 또한 한국 내 기업의 사회적 책임 논의가 전환하고 있음을 암시한다. This study examines the presence of a corporate social responsibility(CSR) department in Korean organizations. I derive hypotheses from strategic and institutional approaches. I have used a representative sample of 487 Korean organizations. A logistic regression model is employed to identify the predictors of the presence of a CSR department. The findings suggest that Korean business organizations that have a CSR department are responding to both market demands and institutional pressures for CSR. Also, these results imply that institutional pressures for CSR have recently changed in Korea.

        데이터가 기하급수적으로 생성되는 데이터스트림 환경에서 데이터를 처리하고 분석하는 방법에 대한 많은 연구가 진행 중에 있다. 본 논문에서는 데이터스트립의 한 예인 콜센터 데이터를 분석하기 위한 OLAP 구현에 대하여 기술한다. 제안하는 OLAP 시스템은 데이터스트렴 환경에 적용할 수 있게 하여 유연한 분석을 가능하게 해준다

        시체(枾締)의 in vitro와 in vivo 항혈전 효능 연구

        Objectives: The aim of this study is to research an anti-thrombus effect by Diospyros Kaki Calyx. Methods: The healthy human plasma were gained and used in vitro study such as factor X activity (FXa) inhibition, prothrombinase inhibition, prothrombin time (PT) and activated partial thromboplastin time. Fifteen SD rats were divided into three groups;intact control group (orally administrated with distilled water 5ml/kg) and two experimental group treated with extract of diospyros kaki calyx (EKC). Experimental rats were orally 600 mg/kg concentration of EKC and 200 mg/kg concentration of EKC. After an hour from administration, we anesthetized rats and made arteriovenous (AV) shunt rat models to study weight of thrombus, took whole blood to study content of thromboxane B2 and blood clotting time. Results: In vitro, EKC significantly increased inhibitory activity of FXa, prothrombinase compared with intact control group (*P<0.05). PT and aPTT were increased in EKC treated (600 mg/kg) group compared with intact control group (*P<0.05). In vivo, blood clotting time of experiment group treated with EKC 600 mg/kg were significantly increased compare with that of intact control group (p<0.05) and content of thromboxane B2 was significantly decreased in group treated with EKC 600 mg/kg in serum. The weight of thrombus were significantly reduced in group treated with EKC 600 mg/kg compared with intact control group (p<0.05). But in vivo experiment study, those parameters of group treated with EKC 200 mg/kg were relatively decreased compared with those of intact control group without statistical significance. Conclusions:EKC has an antithrombic activity because of inhibition internal course such as FXa and prothrombin. And EKC inhibited a hole blood clotting in vivo experiment by low content of thromboxane B2.

        과루인약침(瓜蔞仁藥鍼)이 Ovalbumin-induced Asthma Mouse Model에 미치는 영향(影響)

        Objectives : The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of Trichosanthis Semen Herbal-acupuncture(TS-HA) at Joksamni(ST36) on ovalbumin-induced asthma in mice. Methods : C57BL/6 mice were sensitized and challenged with ovalbumin(OVA) once a week for twelve weeks. The experimental group was treated with 1% concentrations of TS-HA at Joksamni(ST36) three times a week for the last eight weeks. Results : 1. The weight and total lung cells of the mice in the group treated with TS-HA decreased significantly compared with those of control group. 2. Total leukocytes and eosinophils in Bronchoalveoler-lavage fluid(BALF) of the mice in the group treated with TS-HA decreased significantly compared with those of control group. 3. Eosinophils in BALF of the mice in the group treated with TS-HA in photomicrographs decreased significantly compared with those of control group. 4. According to histological analysis of lung sections, adhension of collagen in TS-HA decreased significantly compared with that of control group. 5. The concentration of IgE, IL-4, IL-5 in BALF and IL-4, IL-5, IL-13 in serum of the mice in the group treated with TS-HA decreased significantly compared with that of control group. 6. The number of $Gr-^+/CD11b^+,\;CD11b^+,\;CD3e^-/CCR3^+,\;CD4^+,\;CD8^+\;CD3e^+/CD69^+,\;CD23^+/B220^+\;cells$ in the lungs of the mice in the group treated with TS-HA decreased significantly compared with those of control group. Conclusion : These results suggest that Trichosanthis Semen-herbal acupuncture at Joksamni(ST36) done on C57BL/6 mice is effective in part in relieving OVA-induced asthma in C57BL/6 mice.
