        기억과 학습에 대한 뇌 매핑

        Functional magnetic resonance imaging and positron emission tomography studies have identified brain regions associated with different forms of memory and learning. The purpose of this study was to summarize the results of functional neuroimaging studies to construct brain maps for memory and learning. Working memory is associated with the bilateral prefrontal, anterior cingulate, and temporal and parietal regions; semantic memory with the left prefrontal and temporal regions; episodic memory encoding with the left prefrontal and medial temporal regions; episodic memory retrieval with the right prefrontal, and posterior midline and medial temporal regions; skill learning with the motor, parietal, and subcortical regions; priming with the fusiform and neocortex; and classical conditioning with the cerebellum. More recent studies have provided higher specificity by dissociating the neural correlates of different subcomponents of complex memory tasks and the cognitive roles of different subregions of larger brain areas. 기능자기공명영상과 양전자방출단층촬영 연구는 다양박경민·김재진 207한 형태의 기억과 학습에 관련된 지역을 규명해 왔다. 이 글의 목적은 기능적 신경영상 연구들을 통해 기억과 학습에 대한 뇌 매핑을 하는 것이다. 작동기억은 양쪽 PFC, AC, 측두엽, 두정엽 지역과, 의미론적 기억은 왼쪽 PFC, 측두엽 영역과, 삽화적 기억의 부호화는 왼쪽 PFC와 안쪽 측두엽 영역과, 삽화적 기억의 인출은 오른쪽 PFC, 뒤쪽 중간 그리고 안쪽 측두엽 영역과, 기술 학습은 운동 피질, 피질하 영역과 점화는 방추피질, 신피질과 고전적 조건화는 소뇌 영역과 각 관련된다. 더 최근의 연구들은 복잡한 기억 과제에서 다른 하위 구성 요소들의 신경 상관체를 분리하고 뇌 영역의 하위 영역들의 인지적 역할을 분리함으로써 뇌 매핑에 더 높은 특이성을 제공하고 있다.

        대안학교 탈북 청소년의 인터넷 중독과 정신건강과의 관련성

        Objectives : North Korean adolescent refugees have mental health difficulties and adaptation problems in South Korea due to psychological trauma. Recently, the prevalence of internet addiction, which is known to be closely related to mental health, among adolescents has increased. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between the mental health of North Korean adolescent refugees and internet addiction. Methods : The study subjects were 95 North Korean adolescent refugee alternative school students. The participants completed questionnaires on demographic variables, which considered factors related to North Korean defection and the following self-rated scales to assess depression, impulsivity, and internet addiction : The Center for Epidemiological Studies Depression Scale (CESD), Barratt Impulsiveness Scale-11 (BIS-11), and the Kimberly Young Internet Addiction Test (IAT). Results : Among the North Korean adolescent refugees who participated in the study, age (t=-2.226, p=0.029), sex (t=2.964, p=0.004), and CES-D scores (t=3.788, p<0.001) were significantly correlated with IAT scores. Conclusion : Our results showed that depression and internet addiction were highly correlated in North Korean adolescent refugees. This study will be helpful to understand North Korean adolescent refugees with internet addictions.

      • 1LC-4 Oxygen-controllable hydrogels as dynamic cellular microenvironments for tissue regenerative medicine

        Hypoxia is recognized as a key regulator that promotes vascular development in various biological processes. Here we report a hypoxiainducible (HI) hydrogels that can form hydrogel networks via oxygen (O<sub>2</sub>) consumption in a laccase-mediated reaction. O<sub>2</sub> levels and gradients within the hydrogels can be accurately controlled and precisely predicted. We demonstrate that HI hydrogels guide vascular morphogenesis in vitro via hypoxia-inducible factors (HIFs) activation. In addition, we utilize the HI hydrogels as artificial tumor microenvironments to study the effect of O<sub>2</sub> gradients on tumor motility, demonstrating hypoxic gradients guided tumor motility and matrix remodeling via HIF-1α activation. In sum, the HI hydrogel have a great potential in many applications, ranging from fundamental studies of developmental, regenerative and disease processes through the engineering of healthy and diseased tissue models towards the treatment of hypoxiaregulated disorders.

        오존-마이크로버블-열수 처리한 세절 도라지의 품질 및 저장성

        The quality and shelf life of sliced root of Platycodon grandiflorum (Doraji) treated by ozon-microbubble-heat shock (OMH) were investigated by combining modified-atmosphere packaging [MAP, (50% O2+15% CO2+35% N2)]. The study was based on microbiological (total viable bacteria, fungi, Enterobacteriaceae and coliforms numbers), physicochemical and sensory changes. OMH treatment was effective in reducing microbial populations of the sliced Doraji, especially Enterobacteriaceae and coliforms reduced by 2 log CFU/g. However OMH-MAP treatment remained the aerobe and fungi numbers. Regarding the color, OMH-MAP delayed the change of Hunter b* and the sliced Doraji by OMH-MAP treatment exhibited lower decrease of flavor and overall acceptability compared to those by polypropylene packaging after tap water treatment (Control). The OMH and 50%O2+15%CO2 MAP treatment gave better sensory quality and extended shelf-life for sliced Doraji (~3 days longer shelf-life than Control). Flavor was significantly related to overall acceptability at both Control and OMH-MAP, whereas total coliforms prevalence was associated with overall acceptability at only OMH-MAP. Therefore microbubble-heat shock treatment may improve microbial safety and sliced Doraji by OMH treatment can stored under 50%O2+15%CO2 treatment for up to 7 days. Thus, OMH and MAP treatment may be used in maintaining the storage quality and marketability of sliced Doraji.

        저장 생강 유래 부패 곰팡이 Fusarium oxysporum에 대한 식물 추출물의 항진균 활성

        This study was aimed at evaluating the antifungal potentials of twelve plant extracts (Terminariae Fructus, Glycyrrhizae Radix, Cinnamomi Cortex, Taraxacum Platycarpum, Rubi Fructus, Caesalpiniae Lignum, Myristicae Semen, Caryophylli Flos, Sanguisorbae Radix, Alpiniae Katsumadaii Semen, Scutellariae Radix, Astragalus membranaceus) in preventing storage rot symptoms in ginger (Zingiber officinale). Samples were collected from ginger that had been stored for 120 days at 10-12℃. A total of ten fungi were isolated from stored non-spoiled and spoiled ginger and identified using internal transcribed spacer gene sequencing as Hypocrea virescentiflava, Fusarium oxysporum, Acremonium strictum, Fusarium solani, and Cadophora fastigiata. The causal fungus of storage rot was identified as F. oxysporum by pathogenicity test. Twelve candidate plant extracts were screened for antifungal activity against F. oxysporum isolated from spoiled ginger by using the disk diffusion method. In minimal inhibitory concentration (MICs) test, all ethanolic extracts of Cinnamomi Cortex, Taraxacum platycarpum, and Caryophylli Flos exhibited higher antifungal activity against F. oxysporum than other plant extracts. The MIC value of Cinnamomi Cortex and Caryophylli Flos were determined to be 10 ìg/disc. The MIC of T. platycarpum, 2.5 ìg/disc, was the lowest. Based on the results, it was concluded that Cinnamomi Cortex, T. platycarpum, and Caryophylli Flos have potential to serve as effective treatments to prevent storage rot of ginger.

        Effect of temperature treatment on postharvest quality of the cherry tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum var. cerasiforme)

        Heat accumulation in the field accelerates softening and shortens the shelf life of cherry tomatoes. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of temperature treatment after harvest on the postharvest quality and microbial communities of cherry tomatoes. Regarding fruit quality properties, a 10℃ treatment after harvest caused a delay in increasing weight loss, firmness, electrolyte leakage and decay rate. After the temperature treatment, an approximately 1-2 log reduction on total viable cells, fungi, Enterobacteriaceae and coliforms was observed in the 10℃ treatment group compared with those at 20 and 30℃. However, total viable cells and decay rate remarkably increased at 10℃ treatment after 26 days. The microbial communities of cherry tomatoes in intitial day after temperature treatment were composed mainly of Staphylococcus xylosus or Bacillus pumilus. During storage, the relative abundance of Staphylococcus xylosus and Bacillus pumilus decreased while Pseudomonas fluorescens, Rahnella aquatilis and Leuconostoc mesenteroid increased during late storage. The rapid increase of total aerobic cells and decay rate in the 10℃ treatment group may be associated with a marked increase in Pseudomonas fluorescens. The results from this study demonstrate the effectiveness of pre-cooling to suppress the softening and indicate an impact on microbial community composition and dynamics during storage.
