        격몽요결의 학문론 연구

        격몽요결은 일차적으로 학문의 목적을 사람다운 사람이 되는 데에 두고 있다. 이러한 성격의 학문론에서는, 오늘날의 학문이 지식이나 사태에 대한 이해라는 정도의 피상적 연구를 위해 이바지 하는 방법과는 달리, 사람다운 사람이 되겠다는 구체적 방법, 즉 입지, 몸가짐을 삼감, 궁행과 성정의 조화 등의 구체적 실천방법들이 제시되었다. 한 인간이 학문을 했을 때 그 결과는 일상생활의 실천으로 나타나야 했다. 결국 학문의 실천성은 효행, 조화로운 인간관계, 사회참여 등으로 나타나야 했다. 율곡은 이러한 인간으로 '이통기국'의 인간형으로 제시하였다.

        童蒙先習의 교육적 의의에 대한 연구

        This study tried to evaluate the educational value of Dong-Mong-Seon-Seup written in 1544, which meant the earlier learning curriculum for children, and was used as a text book for childhoods. o get this purpose, this study analyzed the contents of Dong-Mong-Seon-Seup on the three educational points. These were what it meant to study, how to develope the intelligency of childhoods, and how to harmonize the mind and the body while in learning and teaching. The aim of studying was generally to be a manlike. In Cho-sun dynasties most of Koreans usually thought that man as a supreme creature of all creatures should learn to be a manlike. The most important thing to be a manlike was to learn and practice O-ryun(五倫), which meant five kinds of ethics in Korean traditional societies. A manlike as a supreme creature could not be without it. In the long run the aim of studying in traditional societies was said to be a manlike, and the core of studying was to learn and practice O-ryun each other anywhere, anytime. There were two kinds of knowledge in Dong-Mong-Seon-Seup, to develope children' intelligence. The one was the perceptive knowledge which in sighted from the past historical event to the present events. The other was the comprehensive knowledge with which men could understand the meaning of all the historical events on the sight of O-ryun. Dong-Mong-Seon-Seup tried to drill children' knowledge to be applied used to the daily life on the sight of the moral. Dong-Mong-Seon-Seup asked children' learning contents to be embodied in the daily life. First they themselves were asked to feel the meaning of all the historical events. And they should keep their learning content remained lively in their mind anywhere and anytime. Then they should do their best to the learning contents to be accorded to the O-ryun. There days Korean educational realities seem to make students separate their knowledge and learning contents from their living life. Dong-Mong-Seon-Seup may give not only some suggestions, but the nature of education to this present Korean educational realities.

      • 교육사상을 통해 본 한국교육의 성격 탐색

        This study tried to speculatively investigate into the characteristics of the Korean Education on the natures of three kinds of educational thoughts, which were the view of Dae-das(對待)& Li-Ki(理氣) World, the view of modern thoughts, and the view of the post-modern thoughts. The view of Dae-dae & Li-ki World was one of Korean traditional thoughts. It was characterized to hold the world to consist of the two kinds of the substances called Yim-Yang(陰陽). According to this theory, the world can be existed, if only Yim-Yang exchange consistently each other. Yang generally symbolizes man-characteristic things, such as a man, the sun, strength, hardness etc. Yim symbolizes like woman-characteristic things, such as a woman, the moon, weakness, softness etc. Both of them should take their roles in keeping the universe existing by harmonizing themselves. While Li and Ki were to be believed two kind of fundamental factors consisting of a human mind. Li was recognized Sa-dan(四端) which were called benevolence, righteousness, rites, and wisdom. Ki was recognized seven human sentiments. In Korean traditional societies Li was accepted to be more important than Ki as long as a man could be what he would be. But both of them should be harmonized by themselves if a man wants to be manlike. Speculating from this nature of the view of Dae-dae & Li-ki World, the characteristic of Korean traditional education could be summarized as following three features. First, Korean traditional education seemed to educate students to accept the rules of heaven and earth, to do their roles as a man. Secondly It used to educate students to make a harmony with their parents, others, all things etc. Thirdly, a student could keep his mind calm, tranquil, and peaceful, harmonizing the mind of Li-Ki. The characteristic of modern thoughts turned out to be the view of mechanic world, modernization, rationalization, capitalism etc. Speculating from the view of modern thoughts, the characteristic of Korean modern education could be summarized as following four features. First, all kinds of the department of science and the scientific knowledge could be formed, so that they could apply to the living world. Second, the educated chance could be expanded and mass-education was able to be practiced. Third, the modern education in Korea was able to make a student a specialist at a certain department of science, according to his individual character or talent. Forth, the relationship between a teacher and a student. The characteristic of post-modern thoughts was able to be formed founded in the changing societies as the technology and science is developing very speedily. Especially the human's subjectivity has been changed the meaning of language and culture, also, has been changed. Speculating from the view of modern thoughts, the future characteristic of Korean education can suppose to be as following deductions. First, as far as the nature of education should be based on the all kinds of human lives, the future education in Korea will start from investigating into the significance of the Korean traditional thoughts, such as the thought of Dae-dae & Li-ki world. Second, the Korean education should try to find a new educational system which could be pertinent to Koreans and Korean situations. Third, it should try to use all forms of cultures in educating, so that it could help students to take all kinds of knowledge for their own cultures. In the long run, it hopes the future Korean education will be able to make students form his native character, and challenge the changing world. Also it hopes the Korean student will be a man creating his own living world consisted of others.

        다문화역량으로서의 성리학 사상, 성리학적 인간, 성리학 생활태도에 관한 연구

        This Study is to understand Korean neo-confucianism, Korean neo-confucian Man, and Korean neo-confucian daily activities as the multi-cultural competency. Korean neo-confucianism is to give base on the absolute goodness that man should pursuit. Korean neo-confucian Man is human beings to practice the absolute goodness(the supreme Ultimate or Tai-Chi) who should issue the four beginnings and the seven feelings. Korean neo-confucian daily activities are able to harmonize all social members and all societies through issuing Li and Chi. 본 연구는 성리학 사상, 성리학적 인간, 그리고 성리학적 생활태도를 다문화역량으로 이해하려 하였다. 성리학 사상은 그 사회가 추구해야 할 절대선이 있음을 보장하는 것이었다. 성리학적 인간은 사단과 칠정을 통하여 선을 실천해야 하는 존재였다. 성리학적 생활태도는 리기호발, 정의 발을 통하여 인간과 사회를 조화시키게 하는 것이었다.
