The structure of aluminum crystal has been determined from nine independent reflections collected on an X-ray powder diffractometer using nickel-filtered Cu K_α radiation. The crystal is face-centered cubic, space group F4/m3 ̄2/m, with a=4.045(2) Å, V=66.40 Å^3, D_c=2.69gr/㎤. The aluminum atoms have cubic arrangement to form metallic bonding and the nearest interatomic distance is 2.86 Å. The experimental and theoretical integrated intensities of the reflecting planes are in good agreement with each other.

The Phenanthrenequinone anion radical(PQ·-) was produced by photolysis using a pulsed N₂ laser in the mixed solvent of 2-propanol,2-pentanol or benzene and triethylamine(TEA). Particularly,time-resolved ESR spectrum of PQ·- and TEA radical( CH₃CHN(C₂H_(5))₂) has been obsered at 0.13-0.30 μs in the 3:1 mixed solvent of 2-pentanol and TEA. The spin-lattice relaxation time(T₁) has increased exponentially with the increasing of mixed solvents viscosity , it was affected by the spin rotational and diffusion rate of radicals due to the viscosity and solvation of solvent. The log plot of the relaxation time versus the viscosity gave the straight lines with different slope. This fact may be supposed that both PQ·- and TEA radical have contributed to spin-lattice relaxation time in the 3:1 mixed solvent of 2-pentanol and triethylamine.

다양한 잡초로부터 유용 생리활성물질을 탐색하고자 46종 잡초의 methanol 추출액을 대상으로 50~100 ㎍/㎖ 농도로 실험한 결과, 항균 활성에 있어서는 파리풀, 까실쑥부쟁이, 중머리대가리, 큰엉겅퀴, 부처꽃 등이 antobleb 활성에 있어서는 낙지다리, 밭뚝외풀, 까실쑥부쟁이, 술패랭이꽃 등이 항암활성에 있어서는 파리풀, 골풀, 밭뚝외풀, 까실쑥부쟁이, 술패랭이꽃, 겨우살이 등이 항산화활성에 있어서는 골풀, 물레나물, 청비녀골풀, 금불초, 방울고랭이, 좀고추나물 등이 비교적 강한 활성을 나타내었다. (1996년 4월 12일 접수, 1996년 8월 8일 수리) To search for bioactive compounds from plant resources, 80% methanol extracts of 46 species of weeds were screened for their activities of antimicrobial, antioxidative, antiblebing, antitumor and herbicidal. Among extracts tested, some showed activities at the concentration of 50 to 100 ㎍/㎖. Phryma leptostachya var. asiatica, Aster ageratoides, Centipeda minima, Cirsium pendulum. Lythrum anceps showed antibacterial activity. Penthorum chinense, Lindernia procumbens, Aster ageratoides, Dianthus superbus var. longicalycinus showed antiblebing activity. Phyma leptostachya var. asiatica, Juncus effusus var. decipiens, Lindernia procumbens, Aster ageratoides, Dianthus superbus var. longicalycinus, Viscum album var. coloratum showed antitumor activity. Juncus effusus var. decipiens, Hypericum ascyron, Juncus papillosus, Inula britannicar var. chinensis, Scirpus wichurae, Hypericum laxum showed antioxidant activity.
텅스텐(Ⅴ)-티오시안산 置換 피리딘錯物의 合成과 그 性質

Two types of thiocyanato-tungsten(Ⅴ)-substituted pyridine complexes, such as WO NCS)₃(x-py)₂(x-py)(x-py were pyridine, 2-amino pyridine, 3.5- lutidine and 2- amino-4-picoline) and WO(OH)(NCS)₂(x-py)(x-py were pyridine, α-picoline, 2-amino pyridine and 4-acetylpridine) have been prepared. The physical properties such as conductances, magnetic moment and spectroscopy of the thiocyanato-tungsten(Ⅴ)-substituted pyridine complexes have been studied. From the results the complexes are paramagnetism and none-ionic complexes. It is found that the these tungsten(Ⅴ) complexes are insoluble in water, alcohol, acetone or dimethyl formamide, etc. and unstable in air atomosphere. From the assignment of the infrared spectra of the thiocyanato-tungsten(Ⅴ)-substituted pyridine complexes, it was shown that tungsten was combined with nitrogen of thiocyanate ligand.

The authors analyzed 240 patients with obstructive cerebrovascular disease including 11 patients with moyamoya disease, who had been admitted to Seoul National University Hospital during the recent two years. The results were as following; 1) The male to female ratio was 1.4:1 and majority of patients was in fifth decade or over. 2) The most common neurological finding was hemiparesis and 58.8% of the patients were alert. 3) 32.8% of the ischemic stroke patients excluding moyamoya disease had past history of previous ischemic attack. 4) The commonly associated diseases were hypertension and cardiac disease. 5) Serum total cholesterol and triglyceride levels were significantly increased and HDL-cholesterol level was decreased. 6) Excluding moyamoya disease, middle cerebral artery territory and basal ganglia including internal capsule are prevalent site of lesion by computed tomographic scan. 7) Computed tomographic findings of moyamoya disease was mostly ischemic one, 63.6% were atrophic and 27.3% were infarcted.

The crystal structure of lithium fluoride, LiF, has been determined by X-ray (Cu K_α radiation) powder diffraction method. The crystal is face-centered cubic, space group F4/m3 ̄2/m, with unit cell dimensions a=4.0272(2)Å, V=65.31(1)Å^3, z=4 and D_c=2.64g/㎤. The structure was solved by graphical method using nine powder diffractometer intensity data for LiF and Nelson-Riley function was used for the cell dimension refinement. The experimental and theoretical integrated intensities of the reflecting planes are in good agreement with each other. The LiF crystal is aggregates of positive and negative ionic atoms with interatomic distance 2.0136(1)Å which shows the ionic bond between Li^+ and F^-. Each lattice point is occupied by a Li^+-F^- ion pair in the same orientation and the coordination number is six. Thus the LiF structure is exactly same as NaCl.
