이청준 소설의 윤리학 -탈근대적 민중공동체 복원을 향한 근원 사유

이청준 소설은 한국의 소설에서는 드물게 서구의 인식론과 존재론에 고유한 개념과 문제들을 직접 소설의 주제로 끌어들여 천착해 왔다. 그러나 이러한 질문들 안에서 이청준 소설이 제기하는 근본 질문은 공동체성이 훼손된 사회에서 개인에게 가능한 윤리적 선택에 대한 탐문이었고, 이는 근대적 시민성의 문제와 민중적 공동체 복원의 가능성을 동시에 물으며 이루어지고 있다. 이러한 탐문은 『이어도』나 『당신들의 천국』에서 특히 분명하게 나타난 것처럼, 종종 아포리아에 처하게 된다. 이러한 아포리아로의 귀결은 존재론적 자유와 사회적 실천의 배리라는 문제가 이청준 소설이 지니는 고유한 난점인 동시에, 이청준이 이 난점 자체를 주제로 삼고 있음을 보여준다. 이청준 소설은 서구 관념론에 결합된 근대적 시민성에 대한 질문을 넘어 민중공동체 복원의 가능성을 묻는 질문으로 더 많이 향하게 되며, 훼손된 듯 보이는 민중 공동체 안에 여전히 내밀하게 전수되는 시와 노래와 이야기가 지닌 근원적 힘을 공동체 복원의 토대로 제시한다. 이러한 사유는 『인문주의자 무소작씨의 종생기』를 넘어 『신화를 삼킨 섬』에 이르기까지, 점점 신화적 근원 사유로 진전해가고 있는 듯 보인다. 『신화를 삼킨 섬』에서 이청준은 신화의식을 민중 공동체 복원의 근원적 힘으로 제시하는 동시에 권력이 민중 신화를 전유할 때 시민 사회에 대한 지배의 강력한 도구가 됨을 보여준다. 이 소설에서 이청준은 민중 신화가 가지는 양면의 기능을 병치하여 보여주면서, 여전히 개인의 윤리적 선택 문제를 검토하고 있다. 개인이 자유와 비지배를 자신의 삶의 방식으로 취하는 윤리적 선택은 동시에 정치적 올바름의 실현이다. 이청준의 소설은 공동체라는 부질없는 환상의 끈덕짐에 대해 끈질기게 의혹과 혐의를 두고 있어 보인다. 그러면도 현실의 지배 질서에 저항하는 유일한 힘의 원천으로서 국가, 사회, 민족 이전에, 배면에, 그러한 이름들에 저항하며 존재하는 공동체 복원에 대한 꿈을 제시한다. 다만 공동체 또한 현실로 나타나거나 가시적이 된다면, 개인의 자유에 가하는 폭력성을 지니게 될 것이기에, 도달될 수 없는 꿈인 한에서만 공동체는 해방적 힘을 간직한다. 도달할 수 없는 꿈인 공동체는 이야기 혹은 미완의 신화를 통해서만 자기의 모습을 간간히, 일부만을 드러낸다. 『신화를 삼킨 섬』은 이러한 이청준의 사유가 집약된 작품이다. Lee Chung-jun`s Novels often show aporia at endings. It seem that the aporia came from his own problem that his ontological thought is contradictory to his ethics. His early novels presented the thematic problem that one`s quest for freedom is unavoidably as oppressive to the other. In his late novels, he focused on the matter of restoration of ex-modern people`s community. His last novel,『An Island which swallows myth』well demonstrates the originated thought about restoration of ex-modern people`s community, with questioning how a folk memory has become a myth, and how the dominant power abuses the myth for its own purpose. Every community has its myth as its origin, and the myth is the center which hopes, dreams, desires and ideals of the community members are gathered around. But the myth is created by associating mythos with logos and the myth itself is a product of a collective will which subordinates the individual will to. The myth which an community is founded on, get logic of identification to work and maintains as oppressive to community members. So, 『An Island which swallows myth』 implies an community has its liberating powers only when a dream of it will never be accomplished and it remains incomplete, as an abortive hero motive in folk narratives implies.

「시민생활과 예절」교과목의 개발 및 운영 경험: 의예과 교양교육으로서의 의미와 기대

Purpose: This study aims to introduce a one semester ‘Global Citizenship program, being offered as a part of the premedical course at Gachon Medical School. The program was designed to meet the community needs in terms of etiquette and manner education for the future physicians and also to review the outcome of short-term experience. Methods: The program was offered to M1 (premedical students year-1) students from the first semester after entrance to the school with following objectives: to understand the anthropological aspect of culture, to motivate students in relation to medical scientific foundation, and to develop the appropriate human relations, including international etiquette and manners, prior to the subinternship in M5 (medical student year-3). Results: The program consisted of 12 sessions of lectures and/or practice-based learning such as etiquette for dormitory life, Korean traditional culture, gender role in the 21st century, dining etiquette in various cultural programs, netiquette(for computer usage), Korean housing and its architectural beauty, etiquette for alcoholic beverage drinking, dressing, and the respect and understanding of other cultures, services and manners. They were all instructed with presentations combined with site-visits or hands-on experience followed by a reflection paper and group discussion. Although the program was costly and time-consuming compared to the traditional theory-based natural science and humanity subjects, students expressed their strong motivation and concerns on their future responsibilities. Conclusion: We conclude that “Global Citizenship” course is a useful program to provide a meaningful motivation to the newly enrolled students, Further, it encourages students to understand human relations as a global citizen equipped with the appropriate etiquette and manners.

호텔종사원의 조직후원인식과 고객지향성에 대한 리더

The purpose of this study is to empirically test the effects of the POS (perceived organizational support) on the hotel employees` CO (customer orientation) behavior. Also, it tests the moderating effects of the LMX (leader -member exchange) between the POS and CO relationship. The data was collected from the 12 luxury hotels in metropolitan areas of Korea, and 404 out of 600 surveys were used for the analysis. The study findings show that only the affectional POS had the significant positive (+) effects on CO whereas the instrumental POS showed no significant effects. LMX showed significant moderating effects between the affectional POS and CO relation. The significance of the study also includes bringing the attention to the importance of the employees who are the core resources when a lot of luxury hotels located in metropolitan areas of Korea make investment on the hardwares of the hotel.

Universities and colleges in Korea are receiving increasing number of international students due to globalization and expansion of IT development, and also the Korean Wave emerged by the two. In addition, higher education institutions in Korea inevitably compete to recruit students due to decreasing number of prospective students. Educational tourism is a type of SIT(Special interest Tourism) that narrows down the tourism in which primary purpose lies on education and learning. It is worthwhile and timely to pay attention to its significance as tourism resource for the economic impacts proven from the U.S., Australia and other English-speaking countries. This study exams the relationship between the educational tourism's service quality, students' performance, students' satisfaction and students' loyalty to identify the sustainable ways to improve and develop the educational tourism in Korea. The result of the study showed that educational factor and school's welfare factor had the positive impacts on the students' performance, and the students' performance had the positive impacts on the students' satisfaction, and the satisfaction on the students' loyalty.

The nephrotic syndrome has been considered a hypercoagulable state since it may be complicated by thromboembolic events of the venous or the arterial circulations. Diverse pathogenetic factors leading to the hypercoagulable state in nephrotic syndrome have been recognized. Renal vein thrombosis is a serious complication, which might lead to either renal failure or to secondary thromboembolic processes like pulmonary thromboembolism. Although it may present acutely with flank pain and macroscopic hematuria, the majority of cases run an indolent course. Until relatively recently, the diagnosis could only be confidently confirmed or excluded with selective renal venography but, more recently, computerized tomography and magnetic resonance imaging have been used. Anticoagulant therapy with heparin and warfarin apparently halts the natural progression of the disease and allowing for slow recovery. The possibility of more rapid and complete resolution with thrombolytic agents warranted their application. We described a case of bilateral renal vein thrombosis diagnosed by the new technique of magnetic resonance angiography and successful treatment by thrombolytic agent.

유니크 베뉴 개념에 대한 체계적 고찰

Purpose - This study aims to systemically organize the definition, concept, and classifications of unique venue. Design, data, and methodology -In this study, we analyze the domestic and international literature review on unique venue and the current government-level website. Result - As a result, we could see that the meaning of the unique venue used in the MICE industry was similarly used, but there was no universal definition and the terms were used differently as unique venue, unusual venue, and special venue. This is believed to be due to the different industrial and cultural environments of countries and cities. Currently, unique venue of the meeting and events in the domestic and overseas MICE industries, is of great interest and also, each country continues to make efforts to develop unique venues. It has three characteristics: publicity, space characteristics and profitability. Conclusions - It is meaningful that this study was able to understand the definition and concept of the unique venue from an academic point of view and to grasp the current status. It is expected to present policy implications to broaden understanding of unique venue academically and to be used to develop and select unique venue locally in the future.
