In this paper the effect of the structure, particle size, morphology of nanofibers and nanoparticles for the electrochemical characteristics of $Li_4Ti_5O_{12}$ was investigated. The $H_2Ti_2O_5{\cdot}H_2O$ synthesized in hydrothermal treatment from a NaOH treatment on $TiO_2$ by ion exchange processing with HCl solutions. After the $Li_4Ti_5O_{12}$ nanofibers synthesized in hydrothermal treatment of $H_2Ti_2O_5{\cdot}H_2O$ and $LiOH{\cdot}H_2O$. The hydrogen titanate precursor prepared by ion exchange processing with 0.1~0.3M HCl solutions and the final products calcined at $350^{\circ}C{\sim}400^{\circ}C$. The $Li_4Ti_5O_{12}$ nanofibers showed well reversibility during the insertion and extraction of Li, good cycle performance, high capacity and low electrochemical reaction resistance than nanoparticles. also c-rate exhibited a discharge capacity of 172 mAh/g at 0.2C and 115mAh/g at 5C, which is the 77%, 67% of that obtained in the process charged, discharged at 0.2C.

Purpose: This study identifies the concept of `military nursing leadership’ based on a qualitative investigation. Methods: The study is based on Hybrid Model, proposed by Schwartz-Barcott and Kim. The study compromises of 3 steps : theory investigation, field study and final analysis. For theory investigation, we searched various literatures about ‘leadership’. Secondly, field study was conducted through interview and participatant observation of 14 participants (6 patients, 4 peer workers, and 4 nursing officers). Based on the above, we identified conceptual attributes of military nursing leadership. Results: Identified 9 attributes of military nursing leadership are achievement of group goal, respect, leading attitude, communication, educating how to be soldierly, specialty, persuasive power, judgment, and encouragement. Those attributes indicate that military nursing leadership is a process of achieving group goal through communication, educating soldierly manners based on encouragement and respect by nursing officers with specialty, persuasive power and judgement. Conclusion: In this study, we provide a way of understanding definition and 9 attributes of military nursing leadership to make military nursing officers have better apprehensibility. In addition, it can be helpful data in developing concept of military nursing leadership and related educational course.

This study was carried out to set up the ovum bank for ovum donation and to determine the best freezing method for human immature oocytes. Human immature follicular oocytes were cryopreserved by slow freezing and rapid thawing method. Immature follicular oocytes were treated by propanediol(PROH) solution by 2 and 4 step method in protocols A & B, respectively. In protocol C, immature oocytes were exposed to sucrose prior to treatment of PROH by 4 step method. We compared survival rate, maturation rate, and fertilization rate of immature oocytes among three protocols. Results were as follows. 1. Oocytes treated by the protocol C showed the highest survival rate( 70.3 %) and maturation rate(34.6%) after thawing. 2. Survival rate of oocytes treated by the protocol C was significantly higher than that of the protocol B after thawing(p<0.05). In conclusion, treatment of oocytes with sucrose prior to expose PROH was the best freezing method. Sucrose may have reduced the toxic effect of cryoprotectant to oocytes. We failed to induce fertilization of oocytes, which were treated by any protocols, by conventional insemination method, but obtained 28.8% fertilization rate by using partial zona dissection(PZD) method. This result suggests that micromanipulation(PZD) of the thawed oocytes before insemination will improve the fertilization rate.

The purpose of this study was to explore the current status of education for nursing management in Korea. Methods: A descriptive study was done using a questionnaire developed by the investigators. The data were collected by survey from 96 out of 129 nursing schools, between December 2010 and February 2011. Results: For 22.9% of nursing schools, there was no faculty for nursing management. The credits and subjects included in nursing management varied among the nursing schools. Lectures in subjects related to nursing management were given not only by nursing management faculty but also by faculty with other majors. There were more faculty and credits for nursing management courses in 4-year nursing schools than in 3-year schools. Conclusion: To improve the quality of education in nursing management, there is a need to standardized courses and provide nursing faculty who have majored in nursing management.

For preparing spinel Li_4Ti_5O_12 nanofiber, a hydrogen titanate nanofiber precursor was mixed with LiOH·H2O and then the mixture was treated at 130℃ in an autoclave for 24 hrs. The hydrogen titanate nanofiber precursor was made using a TiO2 and NaOH solution as the starting material. As a result, the diameter of the Li4Ti5O12 nanofiber was 5-10nm and the length was over 100 nm longer fiber. The oleic acid (C17H33COOH) coated Li4Ti5O12 nanofiber with different oleic acid contents (5, 7.5, and 10 wt%) was obtained by a simple mixing method and heat treatment at 450℃ in a N_2 atmosphere. The results clearly revealed that the surface of the Li4Ti5O12 nanofiber was coated with an amorphous carbon layer (1 nm). The crystallinity of the samples was also enhanced. The oleic acid coated Li_4Ti_5O_12 nanofiber (5 wt% and 7.5 wt%) displayed a much lower impedance than the Li_4Ti_5O_12 nanofiber because of the decreased charge transfer resistance, therefore, it had an improved discharging/charging capacity, c-rate and cycle performance.

Objective : The objective of this study was to suggest the diagnostic reference levels for intraoral and panoramic radiography through the nationwide survey at regular intervals in South Korea. Study Design : One hundred twenty-six dental institutions from all regions of South Korea were visited. Information on radiographic equipment and clinical exposure parameter was recorded at 118 intraoral and 125 panoramic equipment. Patient entrance dose (PED) and dose-area product (DAP) in intraoral radiography and DAP in panoramic radiography were measured using a DAP meter. Results : Third quartile PED and DAP of intraoral radiography in adults were 1.5 mGy and 46.0 mGy ㎠, those in 12-year-old children 1.2 mGy and 37.1 mGy ㎠ and those in 6-year-old children 1.0 mGy and 29.9 mGy ㎠. Third quartile DAP of panoramic radiography in adults, 12, and 6-year-old children were 227 mGy ㎠, 175 mGy ㎠, 163 mGy ㎠, respectively. The median exposure parameters of intraoral radiography in adults were 60kV, 6mA, and 0.23 seconds and those in 12-year-old children 60kV, 6mA, and 0.16 seconds and those in 6-year-old children 60kV, 6mA, and 0.15 seconds. The median exposure parameters of panoramic radiography in adults were 74kV, 10mA, and 13.6 seconds and those in 12-yearold children 67kV, 10mA, and 13.2 seconds and those in 6-year-old children 67kV, 8mA, and 12.0 seconds. Conclusion : As the national DRLs for intraoral radiography and panoramic radiography in Korea, we recommended 1.5 mGy and 227 mGy ㎠ for adults, 1.2 mGy and 175 mGy ㎠ for 12-year-old children, and 1.0 mGy and 163 mGy ㎠ for 6-year-old children, respectively.

Syphilid represents a great variety of clinical and histological patterns. As such, sometimes it is difficult to make a differential diagnosis from other skin diseases. The histopathologic findings of syphilid are different, according to the clinical types; macular, maculopapular, papulosquamous, and nodular type. Characteristically, there is a marked perivascular infiltration of plasma cells and lymphocytes with endothelial cell swelling in the dermis. Herein, we report a case of syphilid showing the unusual histological pattern of granulomatous inflammation. A 45-year-old male presented with erythematous papules on the scalp, trunk, arms and inguinal area for 2 months. The biopsy specimen showed a chronic granulomatous inflammation with multinucleated giant cells in the dermis. Serologic test for syphilis showed a strong positive, and the patient was diagnosed with secondary syphilis. He was treated with benzathine penicillin G and the skin lesions have successfully disappeared.
