      • 가금 사료첨가제로서의 복분자, 박하 및 매리골드 추출물의 이용 효과에 관한 연구

        The present study was made to evaluate in vitro antibacterial and antioxidant activities of Bokbunja (Rubus coreanus Miquel), Bakha(Mentha arvensis var. piperascens), and African marigold (Tagetes erects) extracts and the effect of their dietary supplementation on the productivity and physiological response in poultry. Exp. 1 was carried out to investigate in vitro antimicrobial and antioxidant activities of Bokbunja, Bakha, and African marigold extracts. In vitro antimicrobial activity of Bokbunja, Bakha, and African marigold extracts were examined against five kinds of pathogenic bacteria. There were some potential antimicrobial activities against Salmonella typhitnurium, Enterococcus faecalis, Escherichia coli, Salmonella gallinarum. Listeria monocytogenes in all of the extracts. All of the plant extracts had antioxidant activity in vitro examination. In DPPH radical scavenging assay, it was shown all of Bokbunja, Bakha, and African marigold extracts had antioxidant properties, although their inhibitory potencies were not so strong as those of control (BHA and a-tocopherol). African marigold extract had the highest DPPH radical scavenging activity among the three extracts. The results indicate that Bokbunja, Bakha, and African marigold extracts might have functions as biopreservative, antioxidant agent and the alternatives for antibiotics in poultry feed. Exp. 2 was undertaken to evaluate the dietary effects of Bokbunja, Bakha, and African marigold extracts on laying performance, egg quality, prevention of egg oxidation in storage. A total of one-hundred eighty nine 42-wk-old Hy-Line Brown layers were divided into seven groups and fed the control diet or each experimental diet (containing 0.3 or 0.5 % Bokbunja, 0.3 or 0.5 % Bakha, and 0.3 or 0.5 % African marigold extracts) for 6 weeks. The egg weights of the birds fed the diet containing 0.3 % African marigold extracts were significantly increased compared to that of control(P<0.05). There was no significant difference in egg production. Egg shell color and Haugh unit were improved by the dietary treatments significantly(P<0.05), and egg yolk color was significantly increased by supplements of Bakha or African marigold extract(P<0.05). The numbers of cecal Coli forms in groups fed the diets containing the three plant extracts were tended to be decreased. The MDA contents in stored eggs were significantly lowered by feeding the three plant extracts(P<0.05). The Haugh units of the treatment groups fed all of the extracts was tended to be increased after 7 days of storage and significantly increased after 14 days of storage compared to that of control. These results indicated that dietary Korean traditional medicinal plants (Bokbunja, Bakha, and African marigold extracts) improved egg quality such as egg color, egg shell color, and Haugh unit, implying that Bokbunja, Bakha. and African marigold extracts may decrease lipid oxidation in eggs, and improve profiles of cecal microflora. In conclusion they can be used as potential alternative substances to replace antibiotics and antioxidant agent for poultry feeding. Exp. 3 was conducted to evaluate dietary effects of African marigold extract on laying performance, egg quality, prevention of egg oxidation in storage and lutein transfer from dietary African marigold into egg yolk. A total of one-hundred eighty nine 42-wk-old Hy-Line Brown layers were divided into seven groups and fed control diet or each experimental diet containing 0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 3.0 % African marigold extract for 6 weeks. The egg production of the birds fed African marigold extract were increased when compared to that of control, although there was no significant difference. Egg quality including egg shell, egg yolk color and Haugh unit were significantly improved by the dietary treatments of African marigold extract(P<0.05).         계량경제모델에 의한 치과의사 이력수급에 관한 연구

        The demand and supply of dentists was studied by the econometrical model. It is based on the data of socio-economic-cultural statistic from 1967 to 1977; GNP, average monthly consumption expenditure per household, consumption of milk, populat ion, consumption of energy, water supply per person a day and entrance rate of senior high school. 1.The curved regression equation and multiple correlation coefficient (R)between the number of dentists(Y) and year (x)were $Y=4,122(1.06)^x$,R=0.995. 2. From 1982 to 1985, expected demand and expected supply will be approximately balanced. But dentists will be oversupplied conspicuously from the year of 1986. Such a oversupply will be remarkably incresed to the amount of 1860 in the year of 2000. 3. It is seemed that balanced number of graduates of dental colleges will be about 350 to the year of 1985, from the year of 1986, will be about 450, from the year of 1981, will be about 600 and from the year of 1996, will be about 700. 4. In 2000, persons served by each dentist will be 3550 by the expected supply and 4120 by the expected demand.

      • 요리활동이 감각방어 아동의 감각처리능력 및 문제행동에 미치는 영향

        ◉ 목적: 본 연구의 목적은 요리활동의 적용이 감각방어 아동의 감각처리능력 및 문제행동에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위한 것이다. ◉ 연구방법: 감각력 평가(Sensory profile ; SP) 검사를 통하여 감각처리에 문제를 가진 3명의 아동을 대상으로 부모의 동의를 얻어 12주 동안 각 아동마다 10회에 걸친 요리치료를 실시하였다. 아동마다 연구자 1명씩 개입하여 약 30분~60분씩 요리활동을 하였고, 치료 전후 평가는 감각력 평가(Sensory profile ; SP)와 문제행동체크리스트(Child Behavior Checklist ; CBCL)를 사용하였다. ◉ 결과: 각 아동마다 감각력 평가(Sensory profile ; SP)와 문제행동체크리스트(Child Be havior Checklist ; CBCL)평가 결과, 3명의 아동 모두 긍정적 효과를 보였다. A아동은 감각력 평가(Sensory profile ; SP) 검사결과 총점 235점에서 263점으로 점수가 변화하였고, 문제행동체크리스트(Child Behavior Checklist ; CBCL) 평가 결과 총점 127점에서 106점으로 감소하였다. B아동은 감각력 평가(Sensory profile ; SP) 검사결과 총점 298점에서 308점으로 증가하였고, 문제행동체크리스트(Child Behavior Checklist ; CBCL) 평가 결과 총점 107점에서 103점으로 점수가 변화하였다. C아동은 감각력 평가(Sensory profile ; SP) 검사결과 총점 287점에서 302점으로 점수가 변화하였고, 문제행동체크리스트(Child Behavior Checklist ; CBCL)평가 결과 총점 110점에서 96점으로 점수가 감소하였다. ◉ 결론: 감각방어를 가진 아동에게 요리활동을 적용하였을 때, 감각처리능력을 향상시키고, 문제행동을 감소시키는 효과가 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 기초로 대상자의수를 늘리고 장기간에 걸쳐 아동의 변화를 확인할 수 있는 요리활동 연구가 지속적으로 필요하다고 사료된다. ◉ Purpose : The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of cooking activity on the sensory processing ability & problem behaviors of children with sensory defensiveness. ◉ Methods : The participants of the study were three children with sensory defensiveness. The intervention for study consisted of 10 sessions and the total duration was 12weeks. Before and after these sessions, The participants was evaluated by Sensory Profile(SP) and Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL). ◉ Results : The participants indicated improvement in the score of sensory processing and CBCL. ◉ Conclusion : The finding was to identify that cooking activity was an effective approach in sensory processing and adaptive behaviors.

        국내 자생 약용식물자원(박하, 복분자 및 매리골드)의 첨가 급여가 육계의 생산성과 육질에 미치는 영향

        This study was conducted to investigate the dietary effects of locally grown herbs (Mentha piperascens, PM; Rubus coreanus, RC; Tagetes patula, MG) on the growth performance and meat quality of broiler chicken. A total of 600 1-d-old Ross male broiler chicks were divided into eight groups and were fed control diets (antibiotics-medicated or non-medicated commercial diets) or experimental diets (non-medicated diets containing 0.3 or 0.5% PM, 0.3 or 0.5% RC, or 0.3 or 0.5% MG) for 5wk. The body weight gains and feed conversion rates (FCRs) in all the groups that were fed diets containing PM, RC, or MG were significantly improved compared to those in the non-medicated control group (p<0.05). The relative weights of various organs, the serum cholesterol levels, and the GOT/GPT activities in all the groups were also not significantly different. The superoxide dismutase (SOD)-like activities in the groups that were fed diets containing 0.3% PM or 0.3% MG were significantly increased compared to those in the non-medicated control group (p<0.05). The number of cecal lactic-acid bacteria in the groups that were fed diets containing 0.3% PM or 0.5% RC tended to increase. The malondialdehyde contents in the leg muscles were significantly lowered by feeding with PM or MG (p<0.05). The physicochemical properties of the edible meat, including the shear force, water-holding capacity, heat loss, pH, and muscle color degrees $(CIEL^*.\;a^*.\;b^*)$, were not affected by the dietary treatments. It has been suggested that spontaneous Korean plants promote the growth of broilers and may delay lipid oxidation in edible muscles without any negative effect when added in broiler diets.

        페룰산의 사료 내 첨가가 육계 생산성, 도체 특성, 혈중 성분 및 장내 균총에 미치는 영향

        This study aimed to evaluate the dietary effects of ferulic acid-based preparation on the performance, blood profiles, and microflora of broiler chicks. A total of 400 chicks (1 day old Ross × Ross) were divided into 20 groups and assigned to four treatments: a basal diet (control) or a treatment diet containing 0.1%, 0.2%, or 0.3% ferulic acid-based preparation. The birds were fed from 1 to 30 d of age. Average daily gain improved compared to that in the control group in all periods (P<0.05). There was no significant difference between treatments in Average daily feed intake during all periods. Feed conversion ratio during starter (day 1 to 21) and total day 1 to 30 periods significantly improved (P<0.05) in the treatments containing ferulic acid-based preparation compared to that in the control. The total cholesterol levels in all the treatments containing ferulic acid-based preparation were significantly lower than that in the control (P<0.05). The globulin content was significantly higher (P<0.05) in the treatment with 0.2% and 0.3% ferulic acid-based preparations than that in the control and 0.1% ferulic acid-based preparation treatments. Among the treatments, there was no significant difference in the total number of cecal bacteria. The number of lactic acid bacteria significantly increased in all treatments containing ferulic acid-based preparation compared to that in the control (P<0.05). The number of coliforms significantly decreased in all treatments containing ferulic acid-based preparation compared to that in the control (P<0.05). In conclusion, the addition of ferulic acid-based preparation to the diet improved broiler performance, blood profiles, and intestinal flora. 본 연구에서 페룰산이 함유된 미강추출물의 첨가가 육계 생산성에 미치는 영향에서 일당 증체량과 사료요구율을 개선시켰다. 일당 증체량은 육계 전기(1~21일령), 육계 후기(22~30일령), 전체 사육기간(1~30일령) 모든 사육기간에서 RBEX을 첨가한 모든 처리구가 대조구에 비해 유의성 있게 높은 것을 확인할 수 있었다(P<0.05). 사료요구율에서도 모든 사육기간에서 페룰산을 첨가한 모든 처리구가 대조구에 비해 유의성 있게 개선되는 것을 확인할 수 있었고(P<0.05), 혈중 성분 중 총 콜레스테롤과 혈중 글로블린 수치에 유의차 있는 영향을 미치는 것을 확인하였고(P<0.05), 장내균총중 페룰산을 처리한 처리구가 대조구에 비하여 유산생성균의 균수가 유의하게 증가하는 결과를 나타냈으며(P<0.05), coliforms에서는 대조구에 비해서 페룰산을 첨가한 처리구에서 유의하게 감소하는 결과가 나타냈다(P<0.05). 이상의 결과로 보아 페룰산이 함유된 미강 추출물의 첨가는 육계의 성장촉진 등 생산성이 개선되는 것으로 나타나 항생제 대체제로의 이용가능성이 시사되었으며, 체내 대사생리 및 근육 내 물리적 특성에 부정적인 영향 없이 가식성 근육 내 지질산화를 유의하게 억제하는 결과를 나타내어 보존성을 개선한 기능성 양계산물의 생산에 도움을 줄 것으로 사료된다.
