3 - ( Triethoxysilyl ) propyl Perfluoroalkyl Urethane 의 합성 및 발수성능

과불화기를 함유한 여러 가지 알콜, F(CF_2)_m(CH_2)_(n+2)-OH을 합성하였다. 합성 알콜을 트리에톡시실릴아이소시아네이트와 축합반응하여 트리에톡시실릴프로필 우레탄을 합성하였으며 ^1H-NMR과 FT-IR 스펙트라로 구조를 확인하였다. 합성 우레탄을 IPA 용매에 녹이고 산 촉매하에서 가수분해 반응을 행한 후 유리에 스핀 코팅하였다. 코팅된 유리를 150 ℃에서 열처리하고 물에 대한 접촉각을 측정하므로써 발수성능을 평가하였다. 발수성능 측정 결과, 물에 대한 접촉각은 100∼120˚ 범위를 나타내었으며 우레탄의 불소기와 메틸렌의 수 및 가수분해 시간에 크게 의존하였다. 또한, 6개월 동안 장기 보관된 코팅 유리의 접촉각은 큰 감소없이 처음의 접촉각을 그대로 나타내어 발수성능은 아주 우수하였다. A series of alcohols with perfluorinated segments F(CF_2)_m(CH_2)_(n+2)-OH (m={8,10} and n={2, 4, 8}) were synthesized. The alcohols were converted to triethoxysilylpropyl perfluoroalkyl urethanes by condensation reaction, which were then characterized by ^1H-NMR and FT-IR spectra. In the presence of an acid catalyst, the triethoxysilylpropyl urethanes underwent hydrolysis and condensation to yield heavily cross-linked matrixes, and onto glass the spin-coated films were prepared. Curing the spin-coated films at 150 ℃ in air produced thermally stable films. The water contact angles of the films varied from 100˚ to 120˚, depending on the numbers of fluorocarbon and methylene units and the hydrolysis times. It was found that the water contact angles of 6 months old coated films were similar to that of newly coated films. In conclusion, the water-repellent properties of the coated films for a long term storage were excellent.

경유 첨가제로 사용할 수 있는 카보네이트 유도체를 합성하고 그들의 DCN 향상 효과를 살펴보았다. 1,2-글리세롤 카보네이트와 긴 알킬그룹을 가지는 지방산을 반응시켜 경유와 구조적으로 유사한 화합물을 얻었다. 경유에 대한 용해도를 증가시키기 위해 긴 체인 중간에 이중 결합을 도입하거나 카보닐 그룹의 알파 위치에 알킬기를 도입하였다. ASTM 방법을 통하여 측정한 이들의 DCN 증가 정도는 ~1 정도였으며 이 결과는 카보네이트 유도체 화합물이 연료 첨가제로서 사용이 가능하다는 것을 보여주고 있다. Carbonate derivatives were synthesized for the use of diesel additives and the derived cetane numbers of the derivatives were measured. Some carbonate ester derivatives were synthesized from 1,2-glycerol carbonate and long alkyl chain fatty acids. To improve the solubility, we introduced unsaturated groups into aliphatic carbons and alkyl group into ${\alpha}$-carbon to the carbonyl group. The derived cetane numbers obtained from ASTM method were increased up to 1.0, which means some carbonate derivatives could be potential diesel additives.

Because of high global warming index (GWI=1300) caused by R-134a refrigerants, isobutane (R-600A, GWI=3) are expected to be acceptable alternative refrigerants in Europe. Synthetic ester oils were used as refrigerating oils for R-134a refrigerant, however, hydrocarbon-based oils for R-600A refrigerant are more effective as refrigerating oils. Thus, in this paper, new refrigerating oils of ISO VG 10 grade for R-600A refrigerant were developed by blending the mixture of paraffin oils and were evaluated by compressor durability tests.

As for chemical characteristics of cultivated media waste, the total content of nitrogen, phosphoric acid, and potassium was 6.93%; organic matter content was 67.78%; pH and EC were 7.20 and 1.46 ds/m, respectively. Organic acids identified during stabilization included citric acid, oxalic acid, fumaric acid, and acetic acid, which was highest. During the stabilization of cultivated media waste, temperature decreased and pH increased on the 15th day, and the germination index was 88 after the period, indicating that at least 15 days of stabilization is needed when cultivated media waste is used for growth material of crop. As for germination characteristics, when the mixture rate of cultivated media waste was 20% and under, germination of cucumber and oriental melon was favorable without difference compared to the control plots. For lettuce and Chinese cabbage, no statistically significant difference was found when the rate was 10% and under compared to the control plots. As for seedling quality after 20 days of sowing, cucumber, oriental melon, and Chinese cabbage showed favorable growth only when the mixture rate of cultivated media waste was 10% and under; lettuce showed lower growth characteristics regardless of mixture rate when compared to the control plots. Cultivated media waste may be significantly useful for cucumber and oriental melon, but not for Chinese cabbage and lettuce.

In this study, biodegradable base Li-greases were prepared by using Li-soap thickener and vegetable oils such as soybean oil, rapeseed oil, castor oil and synthetic ester. Also, EP-greases were formulated by blending base Li-greases, anti-wear additives, EP additives, anti-oxidants and corrosion inhibitor etc.. And EP-greases were characterized by analysing physical properties such as worked penetration, dropping point, 4-ball wear, extreme pressure, thermal properties etc. Biodegradability of base Li-greases and EP-greases were evaluated by CEC-L-33-A-93 method using several inoculums of domestic sewage treatment plant. As the results, biodegradability of vegetable oils were shown at the range of 97.1 to 98.4%. And biodegradability of base Li-greases and EP-greases were 86.2% ~ 89.3% and 83.4% ~ 90.0% which were lower value than those of vegetable oils due to effect of Li-soap thickener, respectively. Therefore, the EP-greases prepared in this study were easily biodegraded by microorgnism.

A series of alcohols with perfluorinated segments F(CF₂)m(CH₂)_(n+2)-OH, with m=8, 10 and n=10 was synthesized. The alcohols were reacted with epichlorohydrin in the presence of NaOH to produce perfluoro glycidylether, and characterized by ¹H-NMR, FT-IR, and GC etc. The perfluoro glycidylethers were cured with several diepoxys such as DGEHFBA, DGEBF, and DGEBA and amine curing agents such as DETA, TETA and DYTEK A amine. The cured epoxys were characterized by thermal properties through DSC, surface morphorogy by SEM, water-repellency by contact angle.
