지구환경 문제 및 건강과 관련하여 친환경 제품 개발에 대한 관심이 날로 증대되고 있으며 사용중 산화 등으로 인하여 발생하는 유해물질이 포함된 동/식물성 유지류 등을 환경친화적 제품으로 재활용하는 것은 매우 중요한 기술이다. 본 연구에서는 동식물폐유지 모노머화 재활용 기술에 대한 특허와 논문을 분석하였다. 분석범위는 1976년 ~ 2012년까지의 미국, 유럽연합, 일본, 한국의 등록/공개된 특허와 SCI 논문으로 제한하였다. 특허와 논문은 키워드를 사용하여 수집하였고, 기술의 정의에 의해 필터링 하였다. 특허와 논문의 동향은 연도, 국가, 기업, 기술에 따라 분석하였다. 이에 전처리 정제, 중합용 모노머화, 중합체 제조 기술 모두 미국이 앞서 있는 것으로 나타났다.

The metal-working industry is increasingly interested in synthetic metel-working fluids and coolants. Also a environmental aspect of the treatment of used fluid is important. The excellant lubricating properties of polyalkylene glycols and fatty acid have been recognised in the area such as hydraulic fluids and compressor lubricants. The main purpose of this study was to investigate the cutting properties of polyethylene glycol and its synergy effect with a common fatty acid, against steel, bronze and aluminum using drilling machine. From the study, it was shown that there were some synergy effects of the cutting lubricant depend on the cutting condition as load and cutting metals.
과불화기를 함유한 트리에톡시실릴우레탄의 합성 및 발수 성능

A series of alsohols with perfluorinated segments F(CF₂)_m(CH₂)_(n+2)-OH, with m=8, 10 and n=2, 4, 8, was synthesized. The alcohols were converted to triethoxysilylpropyl urethanes by a condensation reaction, and characterized by FT-IR spectrum. In the presence of moisture, the triethoxysilylpropyl urethanes undergo hydrolysis and condensation to yield heavily crosslinked matrixes. Films cast in this manner and cured at 150℃ in air are thermally stable. The water contact angles of the spin-coated films onto glass were ranged from 110° to 120° depend on the numbers of fluorocarbon units and the hydrolysis times. Also, the water contact angles of the coated films after 3 months were similar to that of the initial coated films.

A series of alcohols with perfluorinated segments F(CF_2)_m(CH_2)_(n+2)-OH (m={8,10} and n={2, 4, 8}) were synthesized. The alcohols were converted to triethoxysilylpropyl perfluoroalkyl urethanes by condensation reaction, which were then characterized by ^1H-NMR and FT-IR spectra. In the presence of an acid catalyst, the triethoxysilylpropyl urethanes underwent hydrolysis and condensation to yield heavily cross-linked matrixes, and onto glass the spin-coated films were prepared. Curing the spin-coated films at 150 ℃ in air produced thermally stable films. The water contact angles of the films varied from 100˚ to 120˚, depending on the numbers of fluorocarbon and methylene units and the hydrolysis times. It was found that the water contact angles of 6 months old coated films were similar to that of newly coated films. In conclusion, the water-repellent properties of the coated films for a long term storage were excellent.

A series of alcohols with perfluorinated segments F(CF₂)m(CH₂)_(n+2)-OH, with m=8, 10 and n=2, 4, 8, was synthesized. The alcohols were reacted with fatty acid to produce ester by a condensation reaction, and characterized by FT-IR, GC and surface tension. The solubility of the ester was tested for selected solvents. The solubility of the ester exceeded by far that of the corresponding alcohols. The esters were soluble in ethyl ether, toluene, hexane, ethyl acetate, chloroform, and acetone, and insoluble in methyl alcohol, ethyl alcohol and isopropyl alcohol. Preliminary experiments on 1,2-dichloroethane solutions showed remarkable decrease of the surface tension upon addition of the esters.
숙신산 알킬 하프-에스테르 유도체의 합성 및 해수에 대한 방청성능

Succinic acid ester derivatives have been used as additives for the base oil of metal working fluids and pressure working oils. In this paper, a series of succinic acid alkyl half-esters were synthesized with over 97% yields by ring-opening reaction of succinic anhydride and fatty alcohol and were soluble in 100 N base oil within 1 wt% concentration. The structures and purities of ester derivatives were confirmed by 1 H-NMR and FT-IR spectrum and GC analysis. Anti-corrosion properties of the esters in sea water were evaluated through ASTM D665 method and weight loss method and compared to that of succinic alkyl esters without carboxylic acid group in the molecule. As the results, anti-corrosion properties of succinic acid alkyl half-esters with carboxylic acid group were better than those of succinic acid alkyl esters without carboxylic acid group. And, Anti-corrosion properties of the esters with a shorter alkyl chain of high concentration showed better performance than those with longer alkyl chain of low concentration. Inhibition efficiency % (IE%) of the esters was over 95% in the concentration of 80 ppm and corrosion rate (CR) was below 0.3 mm/year at the same concentration. Thus, the corrosion properties of succinic acid alkyl half-esters result from the carboxylic acid groups in molecules.
